Apparently Wesker told Chris in jp script something like "I hate you so much not even tearing you to pieces would be enough".

Going strictly off of CV here, but I sooo love how vastly different Wesker is in his treatment of Chris vs everyone else. He's so detached and methodical in his violence towards Claire, treating her as nothing but a nuisance that isn't worth half his effort. In a way, that makes his cruelty towards her even scarier, knowing he literally just does not care enough to give her the time of day or treat her as a person worth making much direct conversation to. And, of course, the only moments he does show some personal interest with her is when he's pondering the possibility of hurting Chris through causing harm to her. He does not care about Claire or her pain, not one bit. He's only keeping her under his boot so she doesn't cause trouble. The only thing he does care about is Chris' potential response to what he's doing.

Compare this to his beat downs with Chris. He's fully engaged with him, practically bursting with emotion, be it glee, malice or pride. With Claire, he is methodical, calculated. With Chris, you can argue he is almost purposefully showing off to him on some level. He needs to see that shocked look in his eyes, and he'll make sure he gets exactly that. It does make you wonder which version of Wesker is scarier to deal with. The cold, detached one that will get rid of you in the quickest, most efficient way possible without batting an eye? Or the pompous, sadistic one that will gladly take his sweet time tormenting you, if only to have you squirming at his feet for his own entertainment?

I love this duality in him, genuinely. You could argue he makes himself vulnerable with Chris by getting so lost in the chase, so to speak. Which is another interesting point to think about. Either way, Wesker is one cruel guy to have to deal with.

And that was it for Wesker and his wannabe Dio Brando phase in CV. He was still the same dramatic ass in both versions, however English script kinda tamed down his hatred for Chris. And jp Wesker was more "neutral" towards Claire without those mockingly affectionate words he said to her in en script. ("You must be the lovely Claire Redfield", "I'm sorry dearheart, but my men have already taken him")

Amuro's love interests... and Char

Anyone noticed Amuro's LIs and their relevance with Char kept decreasing over time?

Lalah: lovers? also Char saved her life

Sayla: Char is her brother

Beltorchika: interacted a bit with Char. She doesn't like him

Chan: knows Char but never talked nor met him in person. suspect she too doesn't like him

If Amuro survived CCA and managed to get a new girlfriend, I guess she might just be unaware of Char's existence "Char Aznable? Never heard of that name."

S.T.A.R.S Wesker headcanon: Weaker emitted a subtle unpleasant aura the longer people know and work with him. At a glance, he seemed inoffensive, just captain of Alpha team acting professional. But as time passed, it was picked up in the unconsciousness of everyone: something doesn't sit right with Wesker, despite he didn't do anything wrong outside. He was polite, fair with his team, occasionally had "healthy" rivalry with other S.T.A.R.S members like shooting competitions and whatever qualified for a good captain, though a bit evasive when someone tried to ask him to share about his personal life. And almost no one saw him taking off that damn sunglasses ever.

One of fun topics to discuss between trio Chris-Joseph-Forest and other R.P.D officers during their break was theorizing what could be behind the sunglasses of Alpha team's captain. Some said Wesker was blind the whole time, some guessed Wesker had heterochromia, Chris joked Wesker was secretly a lizardman so he had lizard eyes and would blink vertically, and even the most boring answer that he just had normal human eyes like any normal person (Wesker frowned at distance when he overheard this idea).

One day, an officer bumped into Wesker by accident, making his glasses fall off his nose to the ground. While apologizing to Wesker, they glanced at his eyes and a quick shiver ran through their spine. Wesker eyes are blue but seem lifeless without any warmth and an uneasy intense gaze when Wesker looked back at the officer. After picked up his sunglasses and wore it back, he gaze a curt nod to that person, told them to be more careful next time then walked off. People were a bit disappointed when that officer told their coworkers about their discovery because the excitement of the unknown was done. They brushed that person off when they said Wesker's eyes were cold, thinking the officer was just exaggerating or felt intimidated by Wesker.

Dante's love towards Eva

You can hate Kamiya for the yucky yuck romance potential between Dante and Trish in DMC1, I don't blame you (even though iirc he denied that accusation somewhere on twitter lol). But the thing that Kamiya did well is he actually included cutscenes showed Dante loves his mother, really. In just one game Dante spent about 3-5 times talking/thinking about Eva

"My mother always used to tell me that my father was a man who fought for the weak. He had courage and a righteous heart. In the name of my father I will kill Mundus!"

"Don’t come any closer you Devil! You may look like my mother but you're nowhere close to her. You have no soul! You have the face but you'll never have her fire!"

Mundus: "Those eyes... deep in them I see the same light as in Sparda's eyes."

Dante: "...Why my mother?"

Mundus: "That useless being? If you need a mother, I can create it as many as you want. Just like I created Trish."

Dante: "Silence!"

But when Dante was in Itsuno's hands, that "mommy" trait of him somehow was "reduced" post DMC1. The times Dante mentioned Eva ingame became incredibly sparse, and when he did, Dante used Eva to have conversations with Vergil rather than talking about her in a personal way for Dante himself

"So... my mother's amulet is the key that unlocks the door to the demon world. Good plan, pop." (DMC3)

"Yup, this is where it all started. The day mother saved me and... left you behind. The thing you don't know is, she tried to save you, too. She kept searching and searching... Until it killed her..." (DMC5)

"Well lemme jog your memory. A little Vergil crying in the corner because mommy got mad" (also DMC5 but Special Edition)

For a character who's supposed to have mother issues, it would be strange if that character barely was seen having anything to do with his mother. It's interesting if we think of Kamiya Dante as a "mama's boy", then with Itsuno Dante, both Itsuno and fandom seem to make him to be more "brocon" with Vergil entered the picture (please don't take this too literally, I just mean Dante's character focused more around his brother).
