₊✩‧₊˚౨ৎ˚₊✩‧₊ Sieun x Reader ( Hero trope)
Title : sad eyes, original story by me! ⋆✴︎˚。⋆ ( school crush , mystery weak hero class characters, love, action )
⋆˚࿔ The day started out as usual—snagging a piece of toast from the kitchen, practically choking on it while stuffing your face on the way out the door.
You stand at the front of your house, waiting patiently for your best friend, Beom Seok. For as long as you can remember, he’s been there every morning, pulling up with his driver, to take you to school. He always says the same thing with a half-smile: 'You’ve got to conserve your energy in the morning if you want to study hard.' It’s a small routine, but it’s one of those quiet constants that make the day feel right. On the car ride to school, you review notes from yesterday’s class with quiet determination. In the background, there’s the faded murmur of conversation between Beom Seok and the driver, but you’re not listening completely consumed by your studies. It’s never come easy to you. You've always had to work twice as hard just to keep up. With no money for cram school, every test feels like a mountain. If you don’t study hard or borrow Beom Seok’s notes and textbooks passing feels almost impossible. You soon arrive at school, stepping out of the car with a polite bow to the driver. you head toward the gates, where Beom Seok quickly falls in step beside you. The two of you chatter, voices light but edged with stress as you agonize over the upcoming exams. As you approach the classroom building, a sudden shout cuts through the morning air.
“Hey!”
You and Beom Seok freeze mid-step, turning slowly toward the voice.
Hyo-man, the school bully, standing a few yards away, his eyes sharp and hostile, locked directly onto Beom Seok. You feel your stomach knot as you meet his glare, and your expression hardens.“What’s your problem?” you ask, stepping protectively in front of your friend. Beom Seok often bore the brunt of Hyo-man’s aggression, and you weren't going to stand by again.“You guys,” Hyo-man sneers, his smirk crooked and cold. Before you can react, he’s already moving fast. In a blink, he lunges. You try to block him, but he shoves you hard. You stumble and hit the ground, the impact jarring through your body just as Hyo-man barrels toward Beom Seok. You hit the ground hard, the impact jolting through your body. For a split second, everything blurs your thoughts, the noise, your sense of control. But then you hear Beom Seok cry out, and something sharp ignites inside you.You scramble to your feet, heart pounding. Hyo-man has Beom Seok by the collar, fist raised, sneering like he’s already won. The other students nearby hesitate, unsure whether to intervene or watch. “Let him go!” you shout, rushing forward. Hyo-man raises his arm in your direction, his eyes cold and focused, as though he’s already made up his mind. You squint your eyes, accepting your fate, bracing for whatever’s to come. But then, out of nowhere, a quick figure rushes past you, a blur of motion. Your class mate sieun !Before you can even process what’s happening, both he and Hyo-man topple to the ground in a flurry of limbs. Sieun lands on top of him , his face twisted with determination as he pulls out a pen, aiming it for his neck. Hyo-man gasps in shock, struggling beneath him, his hands reaching for his wrists, trying to pry his arm away. Startled, you rush to help Beom Seok up, his shock mirroring yours as you both stumble to your feet. You look at the scene before you: Sieun, pinning Hyo-man down, the pen dangerously close to his throat, and Hyo-man’s desperate cries filling the air. He writhes in pain, trying to crawl away from Sieun’s unrelenting grip, but his movements are slow and labored. A whirlwind of thoughts races through your mind. Should you get involved? Should you stop Sieun or let this play out? You hesitate, the weight of the decision hanging heavy in the air.
After a few more seconds of tense contemplation, your breath catching in your throat, you make your decision you bolt forward to pull Sieun off Hyo-man. But before you can reach them, the sound of firm, deliberate footsteps echoes down the hall. A teacher is approaching. The tension snaps like a wire.
In a flash, Hyo-man wriggles free from Sieun’s grip, scrambling backward like a cornered animal. He wipes the blood from his lip, straightens his clothes, and slips into the crowd with practiced ease like nothing had ever happened. Sieun doesn’t chase him. He doesn’t speak. He stays crouched for a moment, chest heavy slowly, he rises to his feet. You meet his eyes , the weight in them stops you cold. Not anger. Not pride. Sadness. A deep, unspoken sorrow flickering beneath the surface. You look away, ashamed that you hesitated. But he walks toward you anyway. His eyes drift down to your arm, where Hyo-man’s grip had left a fresh bruise. Gently, he lifts it, his touch cautious, respectful. “Are you okay?” he asks, voice steady, calm. But there’s something in it , something fierce and protective, like he’d do it all again without a second thought. You nod, quietly. “Thank you.” He simply gives a small nod in return, then turns to Beom Seok, helping him to his feet without saying a word. There’s no gloating in his actions, no need for praise just purpose. Silent, focused. Why did he help me? you wonder. We’ve never even talked before.
As the teacher arrives and begins questioning the commotion, Sieun is already walking ahead, books in hand, shoulders squared. By the time you and Beom Seok catch up, he’s slipping into class, flipping open his notebook like nothing had happened. But you can’t stop thinking about it. All day, your mind spins with questions. Sieun—the quiet boy no one really knew. The one who never talked to anyone, who sat alone at lunch, who kept his head down and disappeared into textbooks. There were rumors, of course. Dark ones. That he had a violent past. That he’d hurt someone at his old school. You never believed them. You never cared. Until today. End of part 1 ⋆✴︎˚。⋆
