The damned Rescue Corps ship crashed! Well, there goes my entire plan. Rrhh... Though, well, I suppose it's for the best! After all, if I had followed them like I was going to, who knows what would've happened to MY ship? I'd have to gather all my cargo modules again, haha!

They better not have to tune their reactor after this... Dangerous things, reactors.

Shouldn't they have started the jump by now? I'll... delay my own launch for now. I have a feeling Destiny and I might be here a while longer...

So... It seems the Rescue Corps are leaving soon, huh? How time flies... It feels like only yesterday my ship came crashing down to this planet in pieces!

I've gotten all my cargo modules back - barring, of course, the ones that exploded on impact - and I've stocked up plenty of goods for the Hunter's Haul. I suppose I'll be leaving soon... I'll wait for the Rescue Corps to get off-planet first, help them out with the preparations.

I'll miss this place. I think Destiny will too - it's not often we get to spend this long on one planet, and she seems to love how green everything is. I've acquired some live samples and seeds from the more manageably-sized plant life, and I'm thinking of setting up a sort of atrium for her with them. A place where she can see the sights of PNF-404 without the obvious risks of landing here again.

She'll get old one day, too... When she's no longer fit enough for hunting trips, she'll need somewhere safe to explore in her final years. The wilderness is unforgiving, but I don't want her to have to waste away in this metal box of a ship.. so I'll build her a garden of all her favorite plants, and I'll make it a nature preservation site when she's gone. In her memory.

I... suppose I'm getting ahead of myself with that. She's very healthy, and her breed of hunting stoat lives a good while, so if all goes well she should have a good decade or two left at least. I guess all this just has me getting sentimental.

Ah... mortality. A thing of both beauty and horror... It's up to us to decide for ourselves how much we see of each.

*Sigh*... Look. When you want to romance someone, physically injuring them should generally not be your go-to method. I know it seems to be working pretty well for some of the other people here, which is mildly concerning, but I can guarantee that that example is an outlier.

Maybe you should try... Gifts, or dinner dates, or something else they personally like. I for one do not like being violently bombarded with bricks, so if you're interested in me you're going to need to try something else.

Ah, well... Guess that means I'll have to pack my stuff up soon, too, assuming they're leaving in the near future! But for the time being, there's still a few things I'd like to get done. I'll let the Rescue Corps go ahead of me.

Ah, the little pikmin? Quite a loyal and cooperative little guy, for sure. Seems a little disillusioned with its place in the ecosystem, if I'm being honest, and really I can't blame it. Seems like a particularly traumatizing existence.

I'm sure there are people who would love to study pikmin as a whole... Perhaps, if this one is willing to leave with me, it would be willing to participate in some research....

After all, it can talk, and I'm sure there are a multitude of scientists who'd have plenty of questions! Of course, their research would need proper regulation, and I'll make it my utmost priority to make sure they don't cross any lines.

Gotta keep the little pikmin comfortable after all! Which reminds me, I should gather more environmental data for the habitat module. I'm working on mimicking the conditions here, and I've still got a lot of work to do before it becomes livable for any of the more complex organisms here.

Where? Like... On PNF-404?

Took a nasty hit from a meteorite a little ways away from this system. Decided to stop in orbit for a while to do some repairs, but halfway through I started losing altitude. No idea why... but something tells me it wasn't a natural occurrence.

Anyhow, ship crashed. It's a modular freight ship, and of course most of the modules detached on the way down. It's flight-capable, only needed minimal repairs, but of course I'd really rather retrieve a good amount of cargo before trying to leave, which is absolutely still a work in progress.

I'm doing pretty well for myself, though, and Destiny seems to love the environment, so I'd say it isn't all bad!
