Being overstimulated is such a weird thing to explain to people. Like "hey sorry, I'm not mad at you and this is nobody's fault and I'm not blaming anyone for it happening, I am aware this is a part of regular everyday life but I am mentally crumbling because There Have Been Things Happening nonstop for 5 hours straight back to back with no breaks, and I really need to sit down in complete silence for like 15-25 minutes, after which I will be completely fine and can proceed as normal. like, you’re right that we shouldn’t give shows credit for what’s not written, but Naomi and Drummer’s partially tragic and wholly sapphic situationship was definitely intended by the writing, at least after Dom and Cara started playing it that way (which the writers absolutely picked up on; otherwise we wouldn’t have a good chunk of Drummer’s S5 arc)

and if you think Naomi isn’t thinking about what might’ve been every time she looks at Drummer, go back and watch every one of their post-S3 scenes again

it’s definitely nothing compared to “Naomi is untrustworthy and annoying” or “Holden is nothing more than a Basic White Male Protagonist and I refuse to engage with him beyond my bad first impression”

but “Naomi/Drummer is entirely subtextual/one-sided/whatever” definitely smacks of not fully absorbing the content, too
