I need to learn about underground things. Mines, basements, tunnels, subway systems.

What is the largest underground room that exists? What is the largest network of underground tunnels that exists? What city has the most underground tunnels beneath it? What building has the deepest basement? How deep underground can there be inhabited buildings and rooms? How much do we know about the underground tunnel systems under cities that exist? Could an aboveground building sink into the ground over time and become part of a tunnel system if the city was inhabited for thousands of years and they just kept building there?

I need to know all of it...
