i don’t think people understand how much of life is grief. not just people dying, but losing the version of yourself you thought you’d become. grieving the city you had to leave. the friends you lost not in argument, but in silence. the summer that will never come back. the feeling that maybe you peaked at 12 when you were reading books under the covers and believing in forever

every single person you know has something in their life and past that is probably worth collapsing to the ground in an uncontrollably sobbing heap over, so be nice to each other and tell good jokes

Lately I just want to exist in a way that feels natural. No over explaining, no performance, just moving through life in a way that makes sense to me. Slower, softer, more intentional. Less about proving, more about being.

really strange how you can be almost at peace with something that happened to you but it will continue to be a defining moment of your life for the rest of your life. you wont think about it much anymore but in a conversation about a film someone will mention the year it was released and you’ll think to yourself, “that was before it happened” and you’ll see an old photo and think how strange it is to have existed before it happened and somehow it’s like living a life in two acts

People really don't know how to read stories uh. Then they go on the internet and say stupid things.

Still thinking how this show was careful enough to not show any kiss between the main couple..... And the fact that the only mouth kiss we had was when both characters were young, reveal how well they were handling the storyline while maintaining the respect between the people involved. Because, yes, you could still buy the idea that those two were a couple, even if they didn't have any intimate scenes.
