a writing competition i was going to participate in again this year has announced that they now allow AI generated content to be submitted

their reasoning being that "we couldn't ban it even if we wanted to, every writer already uses it anyway"

i think there’s actually nothing better than being randomly told “I love you” after doing something characteristically stupid. Like what do you mean I’m a lovable person and I just did something silly and you thought “of course you would do that. I love you.”. No better feeling

I love this so much

i like working at plant store. sometimes you ring up someone and there's a slug on their plant and so you're like "Oh haha you've got a friend there let me get that for you" and you put the slug on your hand for safekeeping but then its really busy and you dont have time to take the slug outside before the next customer in line so you just have a slug chilling on your hand for 15 minutes. really makes you feel at peace with nature. also it means sometimes i get to say my favorite line which is "would you like this free slug with your purchase"

I am telling you guys, paying rent and finding a job with the state that the UKs economy is in right now, is very difficult, as I know from experience.

Hi! I'm an autistic student studying in the UK going by Luna. I normally wouldn't do this, and I really, really hate having to--but I'm very desperate to make my rent right now. I am fully reliant on my scholarship allowance, which comes in quarterly. My next allowance comes in the end of June and even that is uncertain--it could be early July. My rent, totalling £850 for the month , is due *today* (1/6/2024) and I have £60 in my bank acc. I have been looking all over for a job, applying in person and online to all kinds of retail places but I haven't heard back and it's been a month. I am so, so desperate right now to just make it until the next month. I'm already in debt to my friends and family because the initial rent deposit and 3+ rent in advance put me in this position. Please, if you have any spare change I am asking for help from this community. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. If you need any proof at all just dm me, I will give you all of it.
