Sigh as I look inside the skin I've peeled off
Ashes piling up, hiding emptiness
My left hand, stained with blood, hurts
I'm lonely, Shadow Shadow

All of my nijioshi’s did collabs with each other this week so I had a ton of fun watching them interact and did sketches of them during the streams. Didn’t do XSoliel’s group collab unfortunately tho... Ver being mock mad at Doppio for always winning was really funny

/sigh/
they’re right
If you remove the sexual connotations, a fetish is just irrational reverence or obsessive devotion to something (thanks Mariam Webster). A fixation if you will. It is also when someone intensely believes that an object has some sort of magical or supernatural property that will bring something positive to the person, be it protection, happiness, or something else. Both definitions work in this context
While i wouldn’t say it falls under anthropology and more so sociology, the act of blogging be it a tumblr, cooking, or whatever the fuck blogs you run, it is an act of devotion to whatever subject your blog is about. Media can be categorized into a means that innocently conveys meaning or a means by which ideas can be in turned warped and deluded. Ascribing meaning to electricity on the internet, while not necessarily fetishism, turns the electricity into media and through which us as the viewer ascribe and gain meaning from. So one can argue that blog aren’t inherently fetishes, its just how the user projects their idea onto the blog that makes it a fetish. Or you can say that because of the greater societal view on what a blog is, it absolutely can be and is a fetish. Conversely you can also look at the word fetish which carries with it a sexual connotation which thus gives the title itself a meaning that may or may not be ascribed to blogs
Art blogs is a fixation on your own progress and achievements and people will follow you because they want to see more of your art. Reblog blogs are a way of broadcasting your own interests and opinions and what you find worthy of sharing to people who like your personality and humour enough to follow. Fandom blogs is probably the more obvious example where your devotion to a certain piece of media shapes the entire identity of the blog. Blogs can also bring happiness to people in a sense as well as protection in the form of social connections so yeah. All blogs are fetish blogs if you choose to look at it that way
all blogs are fetish blogs. because ascribing meaning to electricity on the internet is fetishism. ANTHROPOLOGICALLY SPEAKING
