Raph, Splinter, April and Mikcey's concepts.

Hi! This is a follow-up to this post I made a few months ago, I was planning to post this earlier but I've been pretty busy. Anyways i hope you enjoy it!

All the designs made by @doslimones follow her because she's so cool, one day I'm going to convince her to publish more things.

I never said that publishing it soon meant less than a month, it definitely didn't cost me more to write than I expected.

★ Raph

The only lonely turtle that made it to the shore.

The Foot Clan has grown significantly in recent years; it is the most powerful empire of the last century. But, like any rapidly growing force, it doesn't have a great deal of control over its vast territories, especially the far and small ones. Because, who's going to know that, in a small and remote fishing village there's two mutant hiding? Something so hated by the foot, hiding under its nose in a miserable town?

That's what Raph's life is: Living on the outskirts of a coastal town, in a house that's too small for him, working all day without rest, and receiving rejection and hatred for pay. That's his life and he hates it, he only puts up with all this for hid father and his best friend April. And because he's too tired to argue with Splinter, who is very convinced that stay there is the best option.

They arrived in the village when Raph was very young, so all he has are some loose memories and his father's story: A story about his 3 younger brothers, about escaping on a raft and get caught in a storm, about how, in one night, his father lost 3 of his 4 children and ended up stranded in foot territory. Having to live in hiding, hungry and making unfair deals with the humans for survival.

As his father began to age and weaken while humans became more and more comfortable taking advantage of them, Raph had to learn to be scary and hostile, Earn a minimum of respect through fear so that they are not eaten alive. But still, that is not his nature, deep down and when he is with trustworthy people he becomes a little teddy bear who loves to read and dreams of going into the sea, having adventures like his idol Lou Jitsu and, above all, finding a family and a place to belong.

★Splinter

How many times are you going to lose everything, rat?

I don't want to talk a lot about Splinter yet, i have a lot of plants with him and don't want to spoil it. But I can certainly say that his glory days are long gone, and in their place they left a sad, old, twice-hearted rat.

Splinter doesn't like his life either. He misses the sea, the adventure and passion, he misses being a pirate, and he misses being human. But he's tired. He can't go near the mutant zones. Many people are looking for him there. And he can't venture into Foot territories because, even before he was mutated, there was more than one bounty on his head. He has no place in this world and simply gave up. Why keep trying? He couldn't save three of his four children, and he barely speaks to the one he has left. Raph doesn't love him, and he deserves it. But it's Splinter's duty to keep his son safe, and that means keeping him away from the ocean, from his father's past, and most of all, from Baron Draxum and big Mama.

★April

The one with a heart too big for this town.

Okay, my dear April, she's a professional hater. She goes against everything the Foot Clan is about, even if she can't say it out loud she expresses it (too) clearly. Doing things like searching for forbidden books by the foot, idolizing their enemies like Lou Jitsu, refusing to help his father at the store and, most importantly, hanging out with a couple of mutants. Most of this is because she's just too good for being mean with people who need help, even if they don't look like normal people. And because she is frustrated by the idea that her whole life will be summed up by the coast, fishing and the same sad faces. She wants more, she needs and she deserves more than that. April wants the word and she's willing to get it.

She's the heart of this team, or more like the passion. April is the one who pushes Raph and Splinter to do things, they're like family to her and she hates seeing them depressed. O'Neil helps them in every way she can and dreams of going to sea with Raphael, although neither of them really plans to do so. Raph is attached to Splinter, and April is attached to him.

But, of course, she's not perfect. She's very impulsive, easily carried away by her emotions, and quite immature in a few ways. And she tends to see the world in a blank slate, there's good people who do good things and there's bad people who do bad things. And everyone is stupid, except her. That's basically April's word.

But dw, she still has a lot to learn :)

★Mikey

The mystic one.

Okay, we're leaving the foot's territory, What's more, we're going to a place unmarked on any map. An island hidden from sailors' eyes. A place where no one enters, no one leaves, and no one knows of its existence. A land filled with vegetation, nature, spirits, and magic. Where its inhabitants are more connected to the spiritual world than anyone else. An incredible and strange place where one day, on an empty raft, a boy would appear and change everything.

Mikey wears a black obsidian, a protective stone, the Norse family symbol representing his people is embroidered on his poncho. His hair is real, his eyebrows are tattoos. The lines on his body represent life with the thinnest ones, death and the spiritual world with the thickest ones. In turn, the lines that run down his arms are his veins where his magic runs and the representation of his mystical scars. All of his tattoos highlight his natural markings. The drawings on his legs simulate armor, symbolizing the island and its people taking care of him. The lines on his shell are the same as all the other lines, the waves because that's where he comes from and the eyes represent his spiritual vision/ability to connect with the dead.

Leo was the darling of BM? Well, Mikey is the darling of an entire community. He was raised by the priests and everyone closest to the temples and the gods, but he was spoiled by everyone else on the islands. He's used to being pampered and getting whatever he wants. But he also feels the weight of everyone's expectations, Mikey is the most powerful, the one with the best connection to the spiritual world, he's an envoy of the gods and his destiny is to become the shaman and serve the spirits. And he's cool with that, yeah.

Miguelangelo never really thinks about leaving the island. He likes where he is, he likes his people, he doesn't know what's out there. But if he's curious, he arrived alone on a raft, everything that came with him was destroyed for the storm. Like, did he have a family out there? More people like him? Did they have magic too? Is anyone still looking for him? Mikey knows he has a story, but he has no way of finding it. It's not something he thinks about very often, but sometimes doubts sneak up on him in the night, the sea brings that kind of thoughts, luckily he doesn't go to the coast very often. Anyway, he has more important things to worry about, like the imminent destruction of their island by a dark force they've never seen before. That's a real problem.

Well, we're done for today :)

I think i don't have more to say. Idk when I'll publish it but I'm ending this late at night and i have school tomorrow but who cares, I want to get this over with. I don't know how to continue this au after this, but anyway, I hope you enjoyed this second part. See you later, have a nice day.

Differently Coded

A BRIEF ROTTMNT HURT/COMFORT FANFIC ABOUT DONNIE, IDENTITY, AND TOASTER BLUETOOTH RAGE.

Interior – School Office. Afternoon.

The school psychologist, Splinter, and Donnie are seated. Donnie has his arms crossed, staring at the ceiling, visibly quieter than usual. He just taps his fingers rhythmically on his arm with perfect precision.

School Psychologist (quickly but kindly) — Well, Mr. Splinter, thank you for coming. Your son is… brilliant. He has a unique, focused, outstanding mind. But we’ve also noticed some difficulties with socializing, interpreting gestures, regulating intense emotions in uncontrolled environments…

Splinter (nodding slowly) — Yes. That sounds like when he tries to talk to the toaster and gets upset because it doesn’t answer.

Donnie (without looking down) — A toaster that promised Bluetooth connection! Don’t make me start again.

School Psychologist (smiling professionally) — Considering all this, I believe Donatello might be on the autism spectrum. I say this carefully. It’s not a judgment or a limitation. It’s just… a different way of experiencing the world. If you think it’s appropriate, you could consider seeking a formal diagnosis in the future.

Donnie lowers his gaze for the first time. He’s serious, but not angry. Just… processing.

Splinter (looking at his son) — And you, what do you think, Donatello?

Donnie (shrugging) — It’s not like I’m surprised. My life has always been an incompatible operating system with the rest. This just… gives it a name.

School Psychologist — We can support him with a personalized plan, not just academic, but emotional too. But I needed you to know. And I didn’t want Donatello to carry it alone.

Splinter — Purple is never alone. Even if he locks himself up with his Bluetooth toaster and doesn’t talk to us for days.

Donnie gives a faint smile.

Exterior – School Hallway.

Leo, Raph, and Mikey are sitting on the floor, clearly speculating wildly.

Mikey (on the edge of intrigue) — What if Donnie set up a spy network with the school projectors?

Raph — What if the psychologist is treating him for genius madness, like in those movies?

Leo (looking worried but covering it with humor) — I think they finally unmasked him and found out he’s actually a psychopath. I knew it! I’m always right.

Mikey shoots him an accusing glare.

Mikey — Dude! That was a joke! It wasn’t supposed to be real!

Raph (serious) — Whatever it is… if it’s important, we’ll face it together.

The door opens. Donnie walks out with Splinter. Both are silent. Leo stands quickly but hesitates to approach. Donnie says nothing and walks straight to the exit.

Interior – Sewer Lounge.

Splinter gathers everyone on the couch in a casual setting. Donnie is slightly apart, holding a tablet but not using it.

Splinter (speaking calmly) — Purple has an extraordinary mind. Today, we were told it also works in a different way. That he might be autistic. That doesn’t change who he is. But it might help us understand him better.

Mikey (sincerely) — So he’s not secretly a villain?

Splinter — Only against toasters.

Raph (approaching Donnie and giving his shoulder a pat) — Hey… we’ll figure this out, but you gotta know it doesn’t change anything, bro.

Donnie (rolling his eyes, sarcastic) — Thanks, Raph.

Leo (smiling, a bit awkwardly) — So… you’re officially the weirdest one in the house. Wow. I’m jealous.

Everyone looks at him strangely.

Leo (defensive) — What?! Not a good time for jokes?

Splinter (softly) — It’s a good time for family.

Interior – Donnie’s Room, a couple hours later.

Donnie is at his desk, watching a simulation without interacting with it. Raph and Mikey walk in.

Mikey (gently) — Donnie, can we come in?

Donnie (not looking at them) — You’re already inside. It would be illogical to ask that after crossing the door.

Raph — We just wanted to say… it’s okay if you want to be alone. But it’s also okay if you don’t.

Mikey (cheerful) — And now that you have an official label, that means you get your own TV show. With lasers and everything!

Donnie (turning slowly) — Only now you realize I deserve my own series? I’m surrounded by ingrates!

A smile forms between them. Mikey hugs him from the side without asking. Donnie jumps at the sudden gesture but doesn’t reject it.

Nighttime. All is calm.

Donnie is alone in his lab, spinning distractedly in his chair, looking lost in thought. The screen lights blink, but he’s not working on anything. He looks restless.

Suddenly, the door creaks open. It’s Leo, with his usual confident expression, though now he looks… less annoyed, more nervous.

Leo (pretending to be casual as he sits on a table) — Hey. Still in silent genius mode? What are you calculating this time, the trajectory of your emotions?

Donnie (without looking at him, sarcastic but subdued) — What a poetic observation, Leo. Did you come to tell me I now have an “official name” for being a weirdo?

Leo (grimacing, not laughing) — Okay, I deserved that… but I’m not here to mess with you. I just wanted, you know… to talk. Like brothers do. Sometimes.

Donnie doesn’t respond, just glances sideways at him, still slowly spinning.

Leo (sighs) — Look… I’ve said a lot of dumb stuff. And yeah, I’ve probably teased you more than anyone… since, well, forever. But it’s not because I think you’re weird or… broken. It’s because I’ve always known you’re smarter than all of us. And that scares me sometimes.

Donnie (stopping and watching him more closely) — You’re scared… of my intellect?

Leo (smiling softly, honestly) — Yeah. And no. I’m scared that I just… don’t know how to connect with you without screwing up. And when Dad said that stuff about the psychologist… about autism… I didn’t know what to do. I felt like, suddenly, the way you see the world was even farther from us than I thought.

Donnie (quieter) — It’s not far. Just… differently coded.

Leo (nods, with a sincere smile) — And that’s okay. Look, I have no idea how to help you with all this. But I want you to know something: if you ever feel out of place, if you feel alone in all that noise… you’re not. I’m here. Even if I keep saying dumb things. Even if I don’t understand how your supervillain brain works.

Donnie (blinks, confused for a moment, then… smiles) — Did you just call me a supervillain… as a sign of affection?

Leo (shrugging) — Take it or leave it.

Donnie (more relaxed, even chuckling a bit) — Alright, Leo. I’ll accept your clumsy attempts at affection.

Leo (getting up to leave) — Knew you were soft on the inside.

Donnie (watching him go, with genuine appreciation) — And you’re a useful idiot.

Leo smiles hearing that and gives a thumbs-up before disappearing out the door. Donnie spins in his chair again, but now with a faint smile. Something feels… lighter.

I was thinking about Draxum today and I have some thoughts.

Namely, Draxum is not evil, he never was.

And that's why he makes an excellent villain.

Draxum does evil things because he loves too much. He loves his people, the Yokai, to the point of insanity. He can and will do everything within his power to protect them from what he perceives to be a threat. He will do truly abhorrent, monstrous things in the name of his love.

And crucially, the moment he realises he was wrong, the absolute second it becomes indisputable that the humans are not a threat, he stops.

He doesn't stop caring, no far from it, but he stops attacking. He steps back, settles down. And yes it could be argued that he only does so because the Shredder steals his power, but let's be real. Draxum is a genius, the definition of a mad scientist. If he wanted to, if he really, really wanted to keep attacking the humans? He would absolutely find a way. But he doesn't.

Instead he picks up a day job, one that despite being "beneath him" he throws himself into wholeheartedly. He loves the school, and his students, and his coworkers, and his job. He becomes the absolute best lunch lady he knows how to be.

And when the real threat, the Shredder, attacks the turtles? He steps the eff up. He's the one who stays behind with Splinter to fend of the shredder and keep the boys safe. Because he was wrong, and now the mutants he created to keep the Yokai safe, and the man whose DNA he used to make them, they're not tools to be used, they're family. And like everything Draxum does he does it with his whole heart. The moment he accepted the hamatos as family that was it, he will put himself directly in harm's way for them, he will die for them if he needs to.

Because Draxum isn't evil, he is love. Misguided and flawed, as all love is sometimes, but still love.

Most of the splinters that i know died fighting or in the middle of a war. But he can die in peace and it's wonderfull

Rise comics spoilers ‼️

I've been thinking a lot about Splinter lately, especially his death. I don't think I'm saying anything new, but it's something I want to share.

It's just that I can't stop thinking about how, even before becoming Lou Jitsu, He lived a life of struggles, conflicts and sacrifices. Probably never feel like if he has a please in the world. I mean, He didn't get along with his grandfather, we never saw him have any other family, and throughout his career he probably had to suffer a lot of discrimination for being an Asian in Hollywood. Even when Big Mama kidnapped him, he was a human worshipped by yokai for his ability to kill and not die.

It's like that from the time he became a Hollywood star until he was mutated, he never stopped being seen as an exotic object, something adored yes, but completely separated to the rest.

We all know that Lou Jitsu at one point refused to keep fight; he didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. It's a detail that makes me sad since Splinter participates in fights throughout the show. Yes, he made it to protect his family, but he's old, he's tired and already has enough with is four teenage sons that he never asked for and wasn't ready to have them.

It's for all this that i found he's dead so perfect and almost kind for the character. For someone who lives is whole life fighting alone, with no place in the world and being rejected from everywhere. What else can he ask than die old, in his own house, between his family and loved ones who will never forget him and will remember him not for what he was capable of doing but for who he was?

Idk, He's the only version of Splinter I know who didn't die fighting or in a horrible way, but rather peacefully and in company.

And i think that he deserves it :)

Favourite character: Splinter, first was donnie, then Mikey and now Splinter. He's back story, the way he face the things and how he try to be a good parent when all he's world is falling apart. Its just amazing. I know he is a bad dad and there is a million things that he could have done better. But i think he has a lot of potential and that he is a really really interesanting character.

Character i find is attractive: i don't use to find attractive a lot of people but i will say Donnie or April, i guess?

Least favourite character: the band of dogging mutants. I don't know they names but i know they were really annoyng.

Favourite villain: The Krang, they are evil, awfull, horrendous and i hate them. But they're scary and they made really goos they job. Other option is Big Mama sassy evil queen, what else can i say?

Least favourite villain: the crab guys because they were forgettable.

Favourite duo: Donnie and Mikey, i love them. I'm them and they have a lot of things to talk about. Besides they are just soo funny and lovely.

Favourite ship: Leosagi or Capril.

2 reasons why i like ROTTMNT: Well it was my start (and my fav) in the Tmnt franchise, so it's special. Second, the characters, they are so releteable and beatifull. The desing and the personality are unforgettable.

Dang i don't have more friends so i just will tag people i like. (I hope I don't bother them)
