Happened to me and my lil sis not so long ago.

I think Leo was a kinda spoiled kid (in some aspects) and always refused to see Raph as a superior figure

Most of my Apritello week pieces are collabs but this is one I did on my own :) Day 3, Matching outfits prompt! This was just a big painting practice piece based off of an infamous painting. Things go bump in the dark

They failed to pull Leo out of the Prison dimension and now he’s stuck, left to wonder the prison. Leo thinks it’s fitting really. He caused death and destruction; he let the kraang out and almost caused the end of the world. So really, being locked up is letting him off lightly he thinks.

There’s no time here, no reason to eat, to drink or sleep. Not even freedom even in death, it really holds up to its name as even in death you can never leave, the Prison Dimension seems into your skin and latches onto everything you are.

Leo isn’t sure how long he’s been here for after a while everything goes…fuzzy. But he knows one thing.

It isn’t just prime he has to fear.

I really enjoyed doing the background tbh

Asking some writers/artists I follow:

Is there anything in your fic/comic that you as the author know about, but won't end up in the actual story?

just one thing I can remember:

Raph loses a little trust after Leo develops a habit of covering up how he feels. (Mentally and physically). But the last straw happens when the turtles are out in the snow after making basic recovery from the movie. They have a little snowball fight, and they all try to find a place to hide. Leo at this point is is struggling to breath properly, due to the events of the movie. [ I was a little annoyed how Leo wasn’t really shown any physical damage besides scrapes in the movie, but it makes sense for him to struggle internally and mentally. ] thus causing him to fall into an unnatural brumation. He’s not designed to do that since he’s still partly human, but his weaker insides just give in lol

So eepy lol. It’s about 20 minutes until they find him, and because his brumation is unnatural it messes up his health, and his body would refuse to wake up. After a frantic trip home, Leo spends a couple weeks in a bathtub [he doesn’t eat, but needs water for his body to hydrate ]
