the night is young
the room is dark the lights are out my fingers type I am not supposed to say the things I say I have been told to keep them safe
From other worlds the message came not in my dreams not while awake I am not supposed to know the things you do but I have seen you are incomplete From other worlds the message came not in my dreams not while awake I must speak now what’s on my mind there is danger time time might run out My life is short and I am too slow to learn to speak the way you know I am not a saint it’s not a sin to bear the name of what they stole You lead your wars I am laying low but have no doubt I’ll make it stop
I should have known when I was told that I was lost I would not stop
From other worlds the message came not in my dreams not while awake
The night is young I am wide awake It’s been so long since our mistake

The Lady We All Know
never met her, though, many times she called and the stars in her cheeks formed the number of God Her coca cola eyes and her breath of long island tea but Lord you know that we both would kill for her kiss. in a land that we call dreams she whispers secrets I cannot hear and the mountains in her chest I climb all night to find some rest you know as well as I do too how she moves when she is on top and the way her body slithers when she knows the battle is won the defeated might weep they don’t know what they’ve become but for me it is all the same she is the lady we all know.
