Okay so I was on shift yesterday and Wyatt fucking Hertz walks in with two Squid Sisters Splatoon cosplayers apparently really in character because everyone kept calling them Callie and Marie. And some random person in the worst outfit I've ever seen in my entire life. They ordered three black coffees and some hyperspecific drink I don't get paid enough to remember (the random person) (who claimed to not like coffee?). And then the Callie cosplayer got into an argument about how Wyatt was acting really weird?? And then they both left 200% tips and stormed off. Anyway that's how I made 6000P in twenty minutes

now that’s it’s been a couple days, do you have a more. coherent opinion?

personally i think the lyrics are kind of boring but it’s also a shadow dropped song not meant to be a chart topper or anything. and that’s basically my only criticism.

wyatt’s got a damn good singing voice. i mean we knew that, he sings on mirrorball, but really. and the whole backing song is basically perfect?? how many instruments can one man really learn to play… he has too much power…

naah naaah i’d say i’m more biased then you lmao!! straight forward is super close to my heart haha. people gotta be more willing to try something new, you know? if you don’t accept double time at their straight forward you do NOT deserve them at their mirrorball!!!!

anyway thoughts on Straight Forward? Ik it’s old news by now but idk, i just didn’t vibe with the style? kinda happy about the return to form for the next one tbh

my thoughts on the straight forward album are.. complicated, to say the least! it’s weird, like yeah, i 100% understand that it’s different from their usual stuff, and most times if i do just want to listen to dbt i do tend to put on their other stuff—gluestick especially’s a good one if you just want to chill out—but.. when i’m having weird nights, struggling to sleep, spiraling too much… i go back to straight forward.

it was my first album. it was my first experience with double time. as you can probably tell, listening to it changed my life. even if it’s “bad” i wouldn’t trade it for anything.
