i think tenna is a foil to susie (he's a foil to all the fun gang but mostly to susie in my eyes) while spamton is a foil to kris. i think spamtenna is meant to parallel kris and susie's relationship as well. throughout spamton and tennas relationship, spamton is being instructed to do everything by the person in the phone and otherwise following the prophecy. spilling his "secret" to tenna is the first and only thing spamton does thats out of his own free will, and its prompted by growing closer with tenna. similarly to spamton, kris is being controlled and instructed by a third party on the phone due to a promise they made, and yet growing closer and closer to susie, who's goals are against them. i think kris is going to reveal their "secret" to susie at the cost of losing everything they have due to the knight/person on the phone, but it will go better than how it did with tenna and spamton, because susie is stronger/more hopeful than tenna and their relationship is built on stronger foundation. theres also something to say with how spamton knew the prophecy and still chose to get close with tenna, and how kris does the same, but we don't know yet if susie dies from the prophecy or something else sooo

now im no big city music theorist so i cant explain shit. but to me the insane thing about "HEY EVERY !" being spamton and tenna's shared motif is that like,

when you first hear it, it sounds pretty blatantly incomplete. I think because of the rest at the end of the melody. but that fits with the first impression of spamton being a weird repetetive guy who speaks like a ransom letter made out of cut up magazines. but the way it just loops without changing really drives home the feeling that its a clip of something more.

and then when it plays again for "A Real Boy!" it sounds like it might be closer to complete this time, even though it's cut short by spamton's defeat. at least it changes key to give it some sense of progression. But it still has that weird rest at the end of the main melody, in a spot where you might expect a note.

And then you hear Tenna's Fucking Intro Jingle at the very end of his long preamble ramble.

You mean to tell me......you mean to tell me that Tenna had to be the one to complete it? To sing the final note? That Spamton introduced us to "his" melody that had this gaping hole in it..........and then we meet Tenna, and he.......... has the note that fills that emptiness. in his version of the melody. He completes Spamton. 's melody.

What is WRONG WITH THESE TWO FUCKING GUYS. ARE THEY STUPID????

I feel like chatgpt came around and everyone immediately forgot what they were doing to get stuff done before. like writing centers, extensions, extra help, templates, office hours, beta readers, random generators, and art and writing prompts have all existed for ages. even if you were cheating there's always been sparknotes, photomath, copying, paying someone else to do it, faking that your grandma died, and whatever. all of that stuff is more reliable and doesn't fuck over the planet. and you might actually learn something

toby fox is like hi here's a character their name is skloopy. they look like a looney tunes character as dreamed up by someone on a DMT trip. they're funny and have unique and particular mannerisms!! I hope you like them but I understand if you don't. they have the most heartwrenching backstory known to mankind with layers on par with a shakespearean tragedy. you're gonna look like a maniac doing media analysis because again they look like a DMT trip inspired looney tunes character

One of my pet peeves is when someone mixes up "just can't" and "can't just" in a sentence.

I just can't deal with it. I simply am unable to deal with it whatsoever. You can't just use them interchangeably. You must go beyond using them interchangeably and put more thought into your choice.

Just Can't = No can do. Just modifies Can't by implying simple conclusivity.

Can't Just = Should do more. Can't is modified by Just to imply that further actions are needed.
