sdfuheoihfoihse finishing up the Arlecchino story quest and I'm just??

(spoilers and discussing Arlecchino's age, as well as Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet as a result)

She's a lot younger than I theorized- considering that Clervie was 16 when she and Arle dueled (with Arle being Clervie's age), then the fact that only a year later she killed Crucabena ("Mother"), she couldn't have been more than 18 at that time. If we're talking just a single year exact, then she would've only been 17.

Then, you take into consideration that Freminet says that he joined the year before Crucabena was killed (and he is assumed to have been rather young when his mother brought him to the House) and that Lynette said that she and Lyney (slightly older than Freminet, they were likely around somewhere between 8 to 11 years old) were brought in a short few months after Arle had become "Father."

Anyway continuing on and trying to keep this short, but considering that Lyney and Lynette are around the young adult age, it couldn't have been more 10 years since the events of Arle's duel with Crucabena. Which would put her at around 28 at the most (though, of course this is only taking into consideration that the twins are definitely not children--they're also the same age as the older children that are in the House of the Hearth who probably are older teens at the very least, we don't actually know if the reference to all the House of the Hearth orphans as 'children' is actually because they are children or if it is part of the House's code. This is predominantly speculation on my part because Arlecchino herself said in the beginning of the quest that "Father" was part of that code as well. In that sense, it'd be more like 'Father' as in the lead of the organization with all the people below being referred to as 'children', or it could be an identification sort of thing because the 'children' are all specifically a part of the House).

ANYWAY YEAH LONG STORY SHORT, Arle is most likely around 28 years old, then the twins probably just around 18-21, and Freminet being a few years younger.

Hi! I’m reporting an article for Wired about some of the most popular characters currently used on chatbot sites. I’ve noticed that one character that comes up a lot is Scaramouche from Genshin Impact. I've actually been a smidge more active w/ making art, so I revived my art tumblr (dourgeek) but I have since developed the problem of Only Wanting To Draw Skeletons because I like drawing bones a lot

genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back
