Quick sketch time!

Posca pen, biro, and fine liner - all used to add some detail and depth to this quick sketch of some nice looking architecture. All done on calico cotton.

Always look up at the buildings when you’re walking somewhere. Sometimes you’ll see some lovely architecture which is perfect to draw. 🕊️

Rewatching The God Complex episode of DW. I don’t know if Torchwood has permanently altered my brain but is this a Weevil?!

What would a Weevil be scared of? I can just imagine a weevil finding its room and my boy, King of the Weevils, Owen being in there. Or maybe Ianto with some anti-weevil spray? Jack with a stun gun?

I’d seriously love to know what made a Weevil praise him. 🕊️

Another attempt at a Bob Ross tutorial. I was trying to add a tiny duck on the lake, but it ended up morphing into the Loch Ness monster. This piece was therefore named: ‘Nessie’s Day Out’. 🕊️

Abstract art is honestly really fun. Ended up making this kinda sinister looking piece. Adding the white lines and the white coming from the corner made it look a little less bland. 🕊️

Some very quick sketches on scrap paper of my home town. I’m pretty sure you can guess where it is if you live in the UK. I have no idea why tourists flock to this place. 🕊️

Stitched beer labels. I removed the original labels and made some new ones out of fabric. I used a sort of paper appliqué method on top of that. I always choose to leave the strands of thread as I think they look better. And, yes, the beer is still inside the bottles. 🕊️

This was my first try at painting something abstract. Definitely something I’m gonna do again. 🕊️

For any architectural lovers and artists, do yourself a favour when you’re walking in any town/city centres, and look up more. There are some amazing details on building that are often missed. Snap a picture, and do a quick sketch when you’ve got artist’s block. 🕊️

Here’s a nice wristwatch drawing I did on collage. I’m trying to get back into my collage work stuff but I can’t get them to look as good as others. Still, I like the bleeding colour effect I did with the brusho dyes.

Finished drawing of my old, broken pocket watch. Roman numerals would probably have looked so much better but I didn’t have the patience. Maybe I’ll draw a lion and some roses next to complete the cringe. 🕊️

A drawing of a section of a stone bannister. Always interesting to draw. Especially when it’s so old, it’s wearing away and has moss growing on it.

A cup and saucer drawing on collage. Drawn with basic biro and then painted with coffee! I know tea is usually drank from a cup and saucer and not coffee, but using coffee was easier. And, let’s be honest, you can’t tell. 🕊️

Another stitched piece of the architecture at a nearby crematorium. Slightly creepy with the bleeding ink and red/pink dye.

Another collage piece. Looks like some kind of pizza, I know, but it actually supposed to be an apple cake that my Grandad made - hence the green dye around the plate.

Just looks like a mouldy pizza now. 🤷🕊️
