It's been fun seeing the more obscure characters that rolled in at the end, and I hope yall had a good time with this blog over the past year! I'm sure I'll be seeing you around tumblr, so this isn't really goodbye. Good luck to everyone in 2025 and beyond. 😎

Hey all. It's been a while!

So here's the deal. Since summer there have only been two more submissions, so I think it's fair to say the excitement of this kind of "do you know" account has died down, especially since polls in general are no longer the new vogueness they once were. I'm also in a personal wind-down phase as far as tumblr, social media and comics in general. I had a lot of fun running this one, but in the scheme of things, I'd rather focus my energies on my other accounts, so this is the one to say good bye to.

But I don't want to just close up shop and disappear in the night, so I figured I'd post the two that have been waiting, and I'll leave the submission form open for a few more weeks.

You've got until Friday Dec 20 to get any remaining submissions in before I turn off the form. Then I'll post all the remaining polls, and by the end of 2024 we'll have our final results. I'll keep the blog around for posterity, but after that Do You Know This DC Character will come to a close.

would you consider changing "I know them extremely well" to "I know them across media" to avoid confusion?

Hello hello. I see what you're saying, but I think "I know them across media" doesn't capture the meaning of that option. That one is for the die hard fans, the ones who have seen it all, the people who know the character better than the writers. So yes, that does mean across media, but the heart of it is knowing the character deeply.

For anyone who is unsure of the options or what they mean, there is a brief description in our pinned post. If that wording needs clarification, let me know. I think in this case, "transcends media" should get the point across but if it doesn't I can describe it better.
