Deadline

I still don't want to have a strick deadline for getting trades done, I understand a handful of people in this event have to do have finals and such, but I do suggest you get your projects done by I'd say July 4th (easy to remember, right? Fourth of July 🇺🇲).

People are still waiting, no need to rush, I just have a general idea of when people should finish so we don't have anyone feeling like whoever is drawing/writing about their oc decided to just not.

I will start hounding in on you if you don't filful your part after July 4th (I can be very persistent). And I'd say if you don't get it done by July 10th, even with me hounding you to get it done, you will not be allowed to participate in this event next year.

And please when you post it, tag both the owner of the oc (so they are alerted to it's existence) and me (because if I'm not tagged, there is a chance I'll miss that you posted it).

And that is all I believe.

👻 OC Gift Trade Event! 👻

In our Discord server we will be holding a gift trade event for our members!

How does it work?

On June 20th forms will go live for the server, you will have 5 days to fill out the form and your gift-ee and gifter will be picked on June 30th.

In the form you can also state whether or not you’d be willing to take on an extra gift for someone should another member drop out.

Can I choose who I am partnered with?

No. But you can state in one of the options who you do not wish to be partnered with, both in the giving and receiving of the event. Don’t say everyone but the person you want, that’s not a loophole.

If you want to make gift art of someone specific’s OC then make it. If you want someone to make something for your OC ask about commissions. 💚

How will I know who is taking part?

In the form announcement there will be an emoji for members to react with, should they react they will be given a role specifically for the trade event which will also give them access to the trade chat channel.

Can I tell the person I got them?

The event is meant to be secretive, however the form will include whether or not the person wants to know who got them. If they do then when you are DMed your assigned member you will be informed of whether or not they want to be told. But try to keep who you got a secret to other members in the server too.

What can I submit for my gift?

It can be art, animatic, or a one-shot.

Art: Must be at least a coloured sketch.

Animatic: Rough, black and white, any length is fine.

One-shot fic: 1000 words minimum.

Will there be check-ins?

Yes, July 15th, July 25th and August 1st will be your check-ins. If you feel that you cannot complete your end of the trade then the person will be reassigned onto someone else.

Please let us know by July 30th if you cannot complete your piece and why. This gives the reassigned person a good amount of time to get their piece done.

When is the deadline for the trade event?

August 5th, that gives you just over 1 month to have your piece completed.

August 20th is the deadline for any last minute drop outs OR people who need an extension. August 20th is the safety net deadline, there is no extension beyond this date.

For the receivers.

If you know who your partner is and have discussed any issues with making your gift piece, please inform the event runner as I will need to know.

If you have not received a gift piece by September 1st please let us know ASAP.

Should a gifter not give their piece to their assigned member by September 1st then their gifter will be unable to join any trade events for the remainder of the year.

I’ll admit this was pretty challenging for me, this is such a fun character, but she’s got a lot of different elements, so I tried to hit them all lol 😅

Also as soon as I read ‘elegant’ and ‘loves botanical’ I knew I’d end up doing something heavily inspired by art nouveau

AND DONE!!!! I joined @dp-oc-sharing event during May, and I got set to make something for @i-think-in-metaphors !

Their oc, Lacey Kane, was fun to draw, and I used their fav color and some of their likes!

Like A Blip {Art Trade Event}

Last month I joined this 'Danny Phantom' trade event hosted by the lovely @dp-oc-sharing For my part, I was given @mostlyghostly0o0 so I drew they're beautiful boy, Luz! He's a fast little guy. I had so much fun drawing him. I love the gold/yellow and white combination to make such a eccentric looking character.

As a participant of the Ghostly Trade event created by @dp-oc-sharing I had the pleasure of drawing Saoirse Keane, the oc of @ghostlyglimmer

I wanted to draw her with my oc, Phantom, and since Saoirse's a werewolf, I got the idea to reference a pose from certain classic game

Drawing this was really fun and helped me with the burnout I've been dealing with, so I'm happy to be included

I was assigned the beautiful OC of the fabulous @bugglett ! I hope I done your OC proud! There was a couple different designs of him but I ended up with the Clockwork apprenticeship design and leaned into it! I hope you like it!
