nevermind, it was quite easy to make the new layout

though i havent even started making these comics so this won't be seen in action in at least months. perhaps never if it ends up among my long list of things i never get around to making

hello to my 2 followers! ^_^ i made this blog to talk about art and development and stuff but i have not been doing much of anything, and definitely not enough to do consistent updates here.

i've always wanted to do either a webcomic (lol) or short form comics, but i never get around to them. at most i sketch them out. though this time i have come up with interesting ideas that id actually really wanna go through with! the format is going to be like homestuck's (images and then text at the bottom) because its less work that way :)

though testing out a layout is currently annoying me bc it leaves soo much empty space. coding something new to resemble the usual webcomic layout (everything centered and links a the very top) would be a lot of extra work i hate even thinking about... but layouts and composition are incredibly important to me. its likely that it would genuinely bother me if the container were too wide or the contents were aligned weird like in my test above

its been months since i've completely updated my site so outside of comics i have no ideas of what to add that isnt the occasional art gallery additions or profile edits

first art post on here!

opening this blog of course I love the idea of having a sorta dev blog for dptr... sharing sketches and ramblings and other stuff to accompany and enhance the "experience" of the neocities page. but unfortunately because of an annoying medical issue i havent had the mental or physical energy to do much of anything art-wise for the past few months (sciatica my beloathed) if everything goes well it will clear up soon tho... crossing my fingers

now onto talking about the actual art: i have an art trade i wanna get started on so i did this as a warm up, though i'm bad at committing to art I like vibey landscapes like this and having it at least as a rough sketch is good enough. Even though I don't want him to be the "main character" I can't help but have SO many art ideas for mortimer and barely any for everyone else
