Making 2D characters realistic is a challenge and not always successful due to their unique style, but in this case I really like the result. I also played around with the curls in particle system to make his locks more messy.

Someone requested Muriel in this kind of style too… it will definitely happen with all the main characters as soon as I’m done with the original design!
