Gray is the tallest in their group.

Really makes me wish for actual measurements. Cause he's definitely shorter than some folks they meet. I'm not gonna hazard a guess at a measurement yet. I'm not certain what works better; Gray being a bit tall, or his teammates being a bit short?

//Gray seems to be fairly ambidextrous with his weapon. He holds it with his right more often but there are times where he'll switch and be just as skilled.

I'm thus going to assume he is right-handed for most things and defaults to that stance, but is fully capable of being ambidextrous in combat, switching as needed to stay ahead in the fight.

//Despite being part of a Union team Gray does sometimes default to handling things on his own. He's only been with the Union for a little over a year. He's definitely changed his tactics to be a team player, but if there's a point where he can assist the team by doing something solo, he tends to gravitate toward that option from habit.

And Maggie trusts him to. That's very important to this.

He wouldn't lean toward such situations as much if they weren't viable options, if he wasn't trusted to handle them. But Maggie knows he's capable and reliable working as a solo extension of the team and so enables such to be a reality. It's something Gray very much appreciates.

I feel like they'd end up using each other more than anything else xD But Gray does have genuine connections with shady people like Viper. And while that was from his mercenary days and he has since shifted course in how he handles things, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for Gray and Rahu to come to some sort of awkward accord where it's more than just business matters.

The idea of "I don't approve of your methods" not entirely stopping Gray because deep down he knows sometimes it's what's necessary for your goal. He's got blood on his hands after all. And the idea of Rahu taking a bit of a liking to him despite the Union affiliation, maybe because he can tell there's something more to him, or maybe just because there's enough naivety to be a fun toy, anywhere on that spectrum is interesting.

Of course both of them have a line not to be crossed that would affect such a relationship. But so long as the other doesn't reach that point...

I dunno, just some concepts. Lemme know your thoughts? ^^;

//I'm biased and always wish my boy was more prominent in promo art. But it's rather fitting that Gray is kinda just sitting on his own off to the side. Wallflower of a man when there's no mission. And the interaction with Lian and Cachi on the left is cute.

But also this is how I felt zeroing in on Gray no matter how small he is:

//I really appreciate Gray being a great support/secondary DPS. I'm used to my fav in a similar game being a DPS and brute-forcing bad elemental matchups where I could just to keep him. But here Gray's role means I can adjust for the matchups and still keep him around. Gray never leaves my teams :D

     What is he talking about? What are they talking about? Each term is just as nonsense as the last. There's a lot Gray doesn't know, Maggie often reminds him of that, but he knows how Etheria functions. Someone not knowing what a Block or Hyperlinker is doesn't make any sense.      Are they brand new to Etheria?      Can't be. They have anima power.      Then what?      Gaze locks on to the box as the man does not merely unlock it but force it open with tools. To quickly take the 'precious treasure' inside. Golden eyes narrow as flat tone comments, ❝You're a thief.❞      No wonder they were willing to risk themself for it. But Gray is lacking context here so he won't butt in any further on it. Instead he just shakes his head. This situation is a mess and they're talking circles at each other.

     He steps up beside the man, ready to figure things out. ❝Let's start over.❞ When getting intel as part of a job he always tried to start small with basics.      ❝I'm an animus with the Union. There was a data surge and my surroundings shifted.❞ And he'd lost contact with Maggie but this man doesn't need to know that. ❝Is a Hollow a space corrupted by a virus?❞ They might be using different words for the same things.

Mismatched eyes narrow. Who doesn't know what a denny is?

Yet as the stranger keeps talking, he keeps making less and less sense. Words Hugo did not recognize rolled off Gray's tongue naturally, and Hugo was far from uneducated.

"...I don't mean to be crass, but what in the world are you talking about? I already have carrot data to find my way out of this Hollow. I don't know what you're on about."

Now that the danger is gone, Hugo turns his attention to the lockbox, setting it down on some nearby debris to act as a makeshift table. It will be much easier to lose this cumbersome box and just carry the jewelry inside. It has an old-fashioned mechanism, so he whips out his lockpicks a moment later.

After a bit of trial and error, there's a click and the box's door swings open. Hugo quickly shoves the various gold and gemstones into his briefcase like he has done a hundred times before.

"It sounds like you're the lost one and I should be guiding you," he hums. "This is a Hollow in Janus Quarter."

//Ayy, new promo confirmed my thoughts regarding wounds in Etheria and that it applies to animuses! Always very nice to see canon say 'yes you were right about this' :D

Also nice to see my boy featured again. Heinrich is pretty powerful so it pleases me to see that Gray fought hard enough to not only draw blood but get the man on his knees and panting. Unfortunately good things never last. Is the ass-whopping Gray got after the cost of showing off against Massiah, Xiada, and Heinrich in two promos?
