I genuinely don't think he knows that it's all of them. It's pretty awful, and I feel bad for him too. He's making money from them, though 🤷‍♀️

I've just taken a quick dip into his Tumblr fandom to see how they're reacting to him tweeting about how he finds the fans' "conspiracy chat" about his girlfriend, his son and his mum "too much and too hurtful", and it's as terrible as you'd imagine. He really got the dregs as a fandom. None of them believe a word he says.

There is a standard media depiction of a "healed" person. Someone who has Gone To Therapy. I've noticed this in a few works recently. We often see them at the end of a story, maybe in a "ten years later" epilogue. They speak in a soft, serene voice. They have Accepted what they cannot change. They have let go of a lot, including most of what we see them actually care about in the story itself. They are Happy, At Peace, in some non-descript way. They bare little resemble to the person we were actually shown. They bare little resemblance to any person. We were shown, as we usually are in stories, an agent, a desirer, someone becoming. Now they have Become. And they look back on all that silly becoming as something childish that they have moved past. Fire, you know, fire is for children who don't know any better. To be Healed is to have your fire rightly extinguished; to not even miss it.

iamhalsey: yesterday Ender turned 4! 🧚🏼 everyday I am left speechless and awe-struck by how kind, insightful, gentle, funny, creative, curious and COOL he is. everyday I meet a new kid. one that grows in observation of (and harmony with) the world in a way that I quietly learn from over and over again. I can’t wait to see the person he keeps becoming. if it means more and more and more of him, then I can’t imagine the joy that’s in store. his favorite animal is a duckling. his favorite painter is Van Gogh. he loves A Tribe Called Quest and The Cranberries. he collects tiny treasures and stores them in jars. he is the first person to notice if a friend gets hurt. he remembers names and favorite colors, and his is yellow. because he is joy. he is absolute magic. he’s the best thing I’ve ever been a part of. 🪄
