meet my mlp oc "draft!"

they're non-binary so they/them pronouns please, but afab or as they'd say in equestria amab (assigned mare at birth lol)

they were born in whinnyapolis and love returning back home, but are now legally a resident of cloudsdale since they own a small house there, but doesn't really live anywhere since they travel so much for work

draft is a writer for all different types of media, usually commentary on political stuff going on in equestria, hence the cutie mark

they're friends with fluttershy's parents and fluttershy and rainbow dash, since they did work at the flight academy for a short amount of time when they were in school

also close with spitfire, having done a lot of reporting around the wonderbolt academy, and there may or may not be some feelings there

celestia x discord 1/10 - toxic exes 100/10 but i've never really understood the appeal

spike x rarity -10/10 - cute as a bit and works for spike's motivation sometimes but hes a fuckin baby dude

discord x fluttershy 0/10 - send me hate mail idc i hate this ship. throughout the show discord countlessly betrays the mane six over and over, i dont care if he thought it was the best thing to do. this ship, IMO, enforces pushover fluttershy just letting him be friends with her over and over despite him being the worst. i know theres a timeskip before they're "established," but even then i don't think he could have matured enough to be in a relationship with her. plus gay man x lesbian energy

fluttershy x big mac 5/10 - cool in concept, like one of the mane six dating big mac is a funny idea but idk if it works for any of them

my top ten favorite mlp; fim characters atm

favorite mlp fim / eg characters

1. fluttershy and rainbow dash - i always tie #1's but still i genuinely could not decide between childhood favorite and her gf

2. spitfire - god i love her so much she's so cool (theres a theme here) and chill besides whenever shes taking charge and training recruits. she's the perfect leader of the wonderbolts until rainbow eventually takes her place

3. princess luna- sucker for redemption arcs and i like that it takes her a long time to start actually fitting in. mlp fim overuses redemption arcs sm but i personally like hers the best (also its the og one ofc)

4. sunset shimmer - lol redemption arc also my favorite design in the entire fim universe

5. sweetie belle - singer pony go crazy, loved her sm as a child and still do, shes so cute even if her cutie mark is ugly as fuck SORRY i hate the cms cutie marks

6. rara - SINGER PONY GO CRAZY also i adore her design and her cutie mark and we gotta love a childhood friend of applejack

7. gallus - hes so cool and my favorite out of the "new mane six"

8. winona - favorite of the pony's pets, shes so cutie and i love a good herding dog, she serves as a companion to applejack but also a functional part of the farm

9. zecora - mysterious zebra that lives in the most dangerous place in equestria and appears to make potions for the other characters is so mf cool but shes this low bc the rhyme scheme gets annoying after a while

10. zephyr breeze - lowkey hate him sm but hes so funny to me even if he sucks ass (which he does) also flutter brutter <3 also design is neat

twilight x pinkie 6/10 - i like it esp w rarijack and flutterdash, but im a big fan of single twilight idk why. i might be remembering incorrectly but i think i really shipped them when the movie came out bc they had scenes together in that which were cute

twilight x dash 7/10 - ngl kinda interesting, esp w that episode where twilight teaches dash the history of the wonderbolts, but again single twilight is top tier

twilight x aj 8/10 - favorite twilight ship within the mane six. sry guys but her and aj are the most mature imo and they are the moms of the group so this makes sense to me

twilight x rarity 2/10 - eh not interesting to me

twilight x fluttershy 5/10 - kinda neutral, a little interesting but not really

pinkie x dash 3/10 - idk why it was always so important to me but i think they're closer than they are w the rest of the mane six, but i dont think it would ever be romantic. i blame that one tea party playset they came in together (w celestia for some reason) that labeled them as "pony friends forever"

pinkie x aj 0/10 - even if they aren't technically related, they call each other cousin n shit so that's gross

pinkie x rarity 6/10 - only bc rarijack <3 and im a shitty multishipper, but they are very cute and compliment each other in a unique way. wish we had more episodes with them being the focus

pinkie x fluttershy 1/10 - sry this wouldn't work. nine out of ten times pinkie is the one triggering fluttershy's anxiety lol

dash x aj 4/10 - i know they're technically canon and i think butch x butch ships need to happen in media more, but i just never really saw it happening. also multishipper thing and flutterdash rarijack, but i honestly did not see romantic chemistry between them

dash x rarity 8/10 - purely for the plot. this would be really really interesting

dash x fluttershy 100/10 - my personal favorite mlp ship. canon for me, childhood friends to lovers, even funnier that fluttershy's brother is so annoying at dash. also love that they have lunch with fluttershy's parents and i imagine that after that one ep they do it w dash's parents too

aj x rarity 10/10 - im such a sucker for opposites attract so :) also i like the idea that they're the type of couple that's hardly ever together but when they are its so perfect and they make each other so happy :)

aj x fluttershy 7/10 - cottagecore lesbian ship cool

rarity x fluttershy 5/10 - similar to my feelings about pinkiedash, i can only really see them being super close friends sry

tank - mostly for "may the best pet win" but also because him as a concept is really sweet with rainbow dash as his owner

owlwishes - underrated!!!!!! also pretty helpful and such a sweetheart i love him so bad

gummy - slice of life, need i say more?

angel - still fire and he's really funny, but the other pets are better

i love how they did rainbow dash's story into becoming a wonderbolt. like we (and all the wonderbolts) knew that she would be a star, but in the trajectory of the show they actually took the time to develop it. just like anybody (anypony), she went through different stages in order to get to the position of full time wonderbolt instead of just like "fuck it ur a wonderbolt now"

there's a lot of writing issues i have with the later seasons, as we all do, but i actually like this decision a lot
