About:

My name is Rachel/Nyx (they/them), and I’ve been sharing art online since 2017. I took art classes in high school and have some design experience, but I largely consider myself “self-taught.” Engineering is my day job, so art is largely something I do on the side for fun.

Prices:

All Prices USD Emote Commissions:

$15 - 1 emote

$40 - 3 emotes

$100 - 10 emotes (closed)

Thumbnail Commissions:

Bring your own assets: $5-10

Custom/Illustrated: $15+

Backdrop Commissions:

$15-40 depending on complexity

Additional fee for animated backdrops

Group Commissions:

< 3 people: $40

3-6 people: $50

7-10 people: $60

11 < people: $70+

Background: $5 - $30

Pets/Familiars/Mounts = ½ person

Character Commissions:

$15* - Bust (Extra Character +$10)

$20* - Half-Body (Extra Character +$15)

$25* - Full-Body (Extra Character +$20)

Background: + $5 - $25

Animal: + $5-15 *An extra cost may be added for complex character designs

FAQ:

How do I contact you?

You can reach me via DMs on any social media, by messaging me on discord (@dragon_nyx), or by emailing [email protected]

How do I pay you?

I will send you a PayPal invoice, which works best using an email connected to a PayPal account (other payment options through this invoice may be available depending on your country). I will never share or send messages to this email, it is purely for the invoice.

When do I pay you?

Once we agree on a product/price, I’ll send you an invoice. I usually will not begin the commission until it is fulfilled. If for some reason you cannot pay the full amount up-front, let me know and we can discuss other options.

Can I tip you? How?

There’s two ways to tip me!

When I send an invoice, there will be a “tip” option, where you can place an amount right from the invoice itself.

Can you animate emotes?

I am not an animator, but I can do some simple effects. If you’re interested in an animated emote, feel free to tell me what you want and I can tell you if I can do it! Animated emotes may cost more than stationary ones. If you want me to animate a pre-existing emote, ask your artist for the photoshop (.psd) file if possible.

How do I know if Commissions are open?

I list my commission status in my Discord “About Me” and announce openings in my discord server. I also will edit my bio on Instagram and Twitter. Occasionally I will make announcement posts on those platforms if I don’t fill all of my slots through discord.

Your commissions are closed. Can I still commission you?

Most likely, no.

When will you reopen?

I’m a full-time uni student and can rarely predict when I can reopen commissions. If you’re interested in grabbing a slot right as I reopen, DM me! I’ll be happy to contact you right when I reopen.

Can I commission you to make something not listed here?

Depends on my availability/what product you want. Feel free to DM me what you’re thinking and we can discuss options/prices if I’m able to do it!

Can you edit/recolor one of my existing emotes?

Most likely! DM me for details, but usually these are quick and easy.

Can you draw NSFW content

Slight nudity and gore is okay, otherwise I’m not your artist.

Can you draw furries?

I don’t consider myself a furry artist and can’t guarantee that I can replicate the style, but if you’d like me to draw your sona/anthro characters I’d be more than happy to!

Can you draw detailed characters/backgrounds?

My prices assume the approximate level of detail in my example images. Additional details may come with a greater cost which will be communicated to you before I send you an invoice.

Do you have a refund policy?

If you require a refund, reach out to me directly. Listed below is my general policy, but every situation is different and I’m always willing to have a conversation if needed.

If you reach out to me before I have begun work on your project/in the sketch phase, you are entitled to a full refund

If you reach out to me later in the process, you may be entitled to a partial (50%) refund.

If I have failed to deliver your piece within our agreed timeframe, or within 90 days from the invoice’s fulfillment (whichever is sooner), you are entitled to a refund equal to all parts of the commission I have failed to deliver (ex: if you order 3 emotes and I only deliver 2, you may be refunded the cost of 1 emote commission)

If you would like the progress on the refunded piece, I will happily send you the work I was able to complete

I offer multiple sketches and revisions throughout the commission process. As such, I do not offer refunds for completed pieces.

Can I see the piece in progress?

Yes! Generally, I will always send a progress sketch and will send other stages of the drawing upon request or as needed for the commission type. These are typically the best times to request major form edits. Once I’ve completed the coloring and shading, I’ll send the piece again for minor alterations. You can always request a status report and I will send you my current progress. On occasion and with your permission I will stream commission progress on Twitch. If you happen to be in chat and I ask your approval to move on from the sketch, your approval in chat counts as written approval and I may move on immediately without sending you the sketch directly. I keep a private record of my VODs and chats to cross-reference such information. Providing consent to stream does not mean your piece will be streamed. Depending on my schedule, my workflow may benefit from offline work.

I need to change the information I submitted to the Google Form. Can I do that?

If any information changes from your form submission please reach out to me directly so I can be aware and mark down the changes!
