It's important to know what you do and don't like in this world. Me? I can't stand Dragon-type pokémon, and I hate their trainers even more. They think they're so great and powerful, when in reality they're just relying on their pokémon's strength instead of developing any real skill. That's why I've made it my mission to defeat every last Dragon Trainer - especially anyone dumb enough to call themselves Dragon Masters. Of course, I'll gladly take on anyone else who gets in my way as well. You can't prove anything by being too choosy about your opponents. That doesn't mean I don't have or want friends, either. There's no harm in having allies, and nothing says you have to hate each other to be rivals, either. But don't expect us to get along if you're too weak! Hiatus
((Hey, so, I've been meaning to post this for like two weeks but I keep telling myself it won't be necessary, but ahaha no, it is.
If the mods haven't already declared me so anyway... I'm officially on hiatus. And by that I mean, I keep trying to keep up because this RP is awesome, and I still wind up reading a ton of what goes on, but I keep not being able to post myself like I thought I would, and I don't feel like it's fair to keep people waiting while I get my head together.
If someone else does want Georgia, go ahead and let them have her; otherwise I'll try and be back in a few weeks when I have something that can be called a reliable schedule.
Again, I'm sorry. =_= Especially because I was pretty inactive to begin with. But hopefully I'll be back because the few threads I had going I did love ;_;

"Who said I want to get used to it," she muttered under her breath, below the sound of rushing wind.
"Unova's awesome," she answered. "I'm guessing you were there for Opelucid, so I'll skip that. Personally I'm a fan of Castelia, the big city's nice. Lots of people, lots of good food, lots of stuff to see, lots of travelers going in and out so plenty of people to battle. Lots of bridges too, those are cool. Whole region feels full of bridges, sometimes... It's pretty cool, even if it is a pain in the ass sometimes. When one gets blocked off, you have to go around by a few hours, wait a day, or hope you have something that can swim across."
She rolled her eyes at herself after the statement, realizing how easily Clair would just skip over something like that with her Dragonite.
As she hoisted Georgia onto the Pokemon she smiled. Turning back she made sure that she was sitting safely on top of Rhaegal. “All right, Rhaegal. Let’s fly!” With a nod the Dragonite started to flap his wings and soon they were flying in the air. “See not so bad, right?”

"I dunno. Maybe." She sighed a bit. All this somber talk was useless, and no way to spend an evening with someone she just met. "All I really know is, she told me never to talk to her again. It's been a few years, maybe that's changed. I want to be able to kick her ass, anyway, in case it hasn't." She smirked as she chose the words, trying to find something to say to push some spark back into herself.
"Besides, I've met plenty of other people along the way, and gotten to kick their butts in the mean time. So in a way, I'm glad. Who knows, maybe I'll get to meet those friends of yours and defeat them, too."
She stood up suddenly, dusting herself off a bit. "Okay, sunset's over. Is there a town close enough to eat in? I'm starving, and I feel like I should buy you dinner if we're going to exchange any more life stories. I mean, I could cook, but that's not really a good idea."
Georgia & Leaf
“A good friend would go easy on you. A best friend would turn up the heat,” Georgia joked back.
She took a deep breath of the breeze that went by, scanning the horizon for signs of early stars. Her gaze returned to Leaf just in time to hear her question. Her face fell slightly, leaving her looking not sad but serious and lost in thought for a moment.

“There was someone I really cared about. We were really, really close. And well… they decided that dragon type pokemon - training them - were more important than me.” It was a simple and clearly well-rehearsed answer. “Dragons corrupt people. Make them think they’re too good for anyone else.”

"Eh, I guess," Georgia answered as nonchalantly as she could manage. She was using one arm to hold onto Clair, for lack of a better place to grip, and the other was periodically pulling her hat more firmly onto her head, even though it wasn't actually being blown off. She was relatively fearless, especially in situations like this where her pride was at stake as well, but she'd also never flown on a pokemon before. "It'll take some getting used to," she admitted. "Seatbelts would be nice."
The look at the girl’s face was rather amusing. She really must not like Dragons but Clair was hoping to change that. Lightly she patted Rhaegal’s head and kept the smile on her face.

“Oh don’t worry, Rhaegal here is very fast. If we get started right away it shouldn’t take about a week. I really don’t think there is a train that goes straight to Johto.”

Georgia was perfectly happy to shoot a sneer at Clair while her back was turned, but she was also smart enough not to mouth off to the pokemon about to be carrying her to another country. She looked over Dragonite for a way up without using Clair's offered hand before finally taking it and pulling herself up.
"Let's get this over with."

Georgia & Leaf
Misunderstandings all around! Leaf had had no intention of making Georgia feel guilty; she quickly shook her head and smiled, indicating that the Dragon Buster had nothing to worry about.
Managing a giggle, Leaf turned her gaze back to the sky. “Yes, you’re right. The hardest part will be beating Red - though maybe he’ll go easy on me.” She stuck her tongue out to show that she was only half serious.
The wind picked up and Leaf clutched at her hat so that it wouldn’t blow away. Grinning, she turned to face Georgia again. “Say, what made you decide to become a Dragon Buster?”

A train, no. Planes, maybe, and Georgia would have been less resistant about that. But backing down here would be a shot at her own pride.
"Fine, let's get going then," she grumbled, tightening the straps of her backpack. Maybe having to ride a Dragonite would give her some insight as to how to beat Iris's.
Smiling down at the young girl she took out another Pokeball and tossed it in the air. Soon a Dragonite landed next to Clair, she lightly patted his head and smiled up at her Pokemon. “We fly. I hope you don’t mind flying on my Dragonite here. They are the fastest flyers around. Though we might have to stop to stay at a place in town. Johto is quiet a ways away from Unova.”

Georgia gawked at the Dragonite for several seconds, mouth agape in a way that could only express, oh hell no, you cannot be serious, did you not just hear me ranting for the last ten minutes about how much I hate dragons, this thing is probably going to try and drop me in the ocean first chance it gets.
She thinks better of expressing any of that, though - she hates to admit it, but Iris's Dragonite totaled her Beartic, and this one looks even bigger, so she probably shouldn't be pissing it off any further. "Fine," she grumbles, crossing her arms. "If you think this is the best way." That doesn't mean she's not wondering if Vanilluxe could handle floating her down in an emergency, in lieu of any actual flying types on her team.

"Wait... Stop and stay? How far away is Johto, anyway?" She knew it wasn't exactly a day trip, but she was quickly realizing this probably wasn't going to be only a week's journey, either. "...Oh well, worse comes to worse, I'll just find my own way back."
Clair returned Kohryu to his ball and smiled down at the girl. She was trying to find a nice way to explain to the girl there was no catch. Clair had to find the correct words before speaking. She really wanted to show her not all dragon trainers thought they were better then any other trainer.
“Georgia, there is no catch. I just want to show you are the trainers are in Blackthorn. Yes there are some that do have a high and mighty attitude but that is not all of us. Also you could learn a thing or two about dragons as well.”

A startled look crossed Georgia's face - she hadn't meant to call Leaf's goal into question, and the awkwardness of depressing a girl she'd only just met wasn't lost on her. "R-really?" she stammered as she sat back upright, trying to help keep the conversation going in hopes she'd cheer back up. "You know two people that strong? Well you'll be fine, then! I'm sure they'll help you."
Maybe she'd been hanging out with Burgundy and Bianca too long, she was getting good at sticking her foot in her mouth. "Honestly I'd think having to beat your friend who's already champion would be the hardest part. Harder than getting there, with those kinds of odds behind you."
Georgia & Leaf
Leaf brought her knees up and hugged them to her chest. “You’re right,” she said in a soft tone with a touch of some misplaced emotion - sadness, maybe? “I dunno. Sometimes I feel like becoming Champion is just a goal I force onto myself. My two childhood friends have become very successful trainers - one is a gym leader, and the other is actually Champion of Kanto himself. I think I’m just trying to be like them; but in reality I don’t think I have the kind of drive they do.”
She turned back to Georgia and attempted a smile. “I guess for now I’m just traveling and learning what the world has to offer.”

Georgia's expression softened. People weren't normally impressed with the whole Dragon Buster thing - they were anywhere from annoyed to insistent that she was a fool for thinking such a thing was even possible, given the reputation of Dragon types. After a few seconds passed and the conversation continued, she allowed herself a real smile. This Leaf girl was easily one of the nicest people she'd run into on her journey.
"Champion, huh?" She took a deep breath, flopping backward. How vague that title sounded, and yet how treasured it was by so many. "That must be a lot of work. So many people want to be Champion, but there can only be a handful at any time. A lot of glory and fame, though."
Georgia & Leaf
“One of the starters, huh?” She makes a mental note to look him up in her pokédex later.
The sudden flurry of questions from Leaf made her start to smirk, then full-on smile. It was almost like dealing with that blonde chick that was always with her rival back home, but without the obnoxious-high pitched squealing. “Nice to meet you, too. I’m from Icirrus City, in Unova. It’s… a long way from here. But defeating every Dragon-Type and Dragon Trainer in my path was bound to take me all over the place.” She skips the question about her pokémon on purpose; no sense in revealing her team to someone she might later need to battle.
“What about you, Leaf? What brings you and Elliot out to this hill in the middle of Miltank country?”

"Hey-" Georgia starts to answer instinctively, then blinks as she looks at the girl.
"Do I know you?" She sure didn't recognize her, but she's smiling like they're best friends from grade school.

“Hey everyone!!” Touko said, greeting everyone with a big smile.
