She’s a Siberian, which are normally quite big, but her mother was a runt and she was the runt of her own litter, so now she’s the smallest of the bunch. There is a potion made that cures the curse of a werewolf. Unfortunately, it only removes the "wolf" part of the curse. Under the light of the full moon, the bearer of the curse becomes a were, which looks exactly like any other human, elf, dwarf, etc., but just feels very slightly anxious and unsettled. Weres are hunted by evil wizards because their blood is basically the perfect raw material for evil potions and charms.

Instead of working out ALL the lore for a setting, work out the bare minimum and let the players do the rest for you. Any time someone does particularly well on an intelligence-based check to see what they know about a particular thing, tell them like 1 or 2 sentences about the thing and then let them just make up the entire rest of the lore about it

I'd personally say collaborative worldbuilding is a good idea
