- Great Skua
- Cuban Tody
- Ruddy Tody-Flycatcher
- Crowned Woodnymph
- Yellow-throated Mountain Greenbul
- Crescent-chested Puffbird
I took a nice long break since my last post. Got a bit burnt out, as I thought might happen. I feel like I have more energy to work this project again so here's hoping I can stick to it, for a while at least.

July 25 - August 8, 2024
Mourning Dove
Anna's Hummingbird
Northern Flicker
Steller's Jay
Black-capped Chickadee
Varied Thrush
American Robin
House Sparrow
American Goldfinch
Dark-eyed Junco
White-crowned Sparrow
Spotted Towhee
Slightly different format for this one. My mom wanted a pattern made from my bird drawings, but I have no experience getting a good quality scan of my drawings, so I did this digitally while attempting to replicate how I draw them with colored pencils. Luckily for this project, these are all birds I haven't drawn before, so they all count I say!

May 21 - 23, 2024
- Gray Fantail
- Crested Owl
- White Woodpecker
- Buff-breasted Mountain Tanager
- Little Gull
- Southern Screamer
Some good names in this bunch. Little gull, southern screamer. One's just a little guy, and the other one likes to scream. That's all I need to know.
Been struggling somewhat with this project. It takes me a while to fill a page and this is very much a secondary project for me, and I feel like I've been devoting less and less time to work on it. While I love the way the drawings are turning out, it takes me probably on average of an hour to do each drawing. I've been considering trying to make these drawings less complex so I can get more done quicker, a bit of a quality vs quantity problem. I'm not sure I'm ready to go that route yet, but it's either keep doing what I'm doing and accept I'll probably never finish this project, or find a way to speed up my drawings. The goal of this project is to simply draw every bird, no matter the style or quality. But I can't help trying to make each drawing as good as possible. And it's not even that I think a less detailed drawing wouldn't be as good, it's just I enjoy how these turn out, but it takes so damn long to do them. Anyway, that's just a vent/ramble. This project is not dead, just slow to update right now.

April 9 - 11, 2024
- Chat Flycatcher
- Aquatic Warbler
- Namaque Dove
- Blue Eared-Pheasant
- Sri Lanka Junglefowl
Took me way to long to realize that it was a blue <space> eared-pheasant and not a blue-eared <space> pheasant. Thought I was getting cheated out of seeing a bird with blue ears.

December 24 - 26, 2023
- Andean Solitaire
- Banda Sea Pitta
- Victorian Warbler
- Glittering-throated Emerald Hummingbird
- Chestnut-breasted Whiteface
- Mouse-colored Antshrike
Gotta love bird naming logic. Oh that bird is kind of grey and kind of brown, so let's call it a "mouse-colored antshrike". Nevermind that mice come in all kinds of colors...
