It's the little things like dinner with friends and family that I miss the most during these scary COVID-quarentine days.

A little trip down memory lane. A little sketch from way back when. I'll be posting a lot more in the next few days in an effort to upload all of my earliest Paper sketches.

Another shooting. More death. Sometimes it’s easier for me to express my feelings in a drawing... when does the madness end in this country?

WoodBar in the lovely neighborhood of Montrose in Houston, TX. Laid back vibes, perfect lighting, perfectly brewed coffee, and the best damn croiss-andwich in the city. On a side note: Drawing Table for One is back, this time UNPLUGGED and equipped only with a pencil, sketchbook, and an eraser. More journal drawings to come soon! ;)

Tucked away in a corner of the Carlyle Hotel (in NYC) is Bemelmans Bar where Ludwig Bemelmans’ famed mural grace the walls.

Boomer and his female partner, Bailey were both rescued from a neglectful owner by the Houston SPCA in 2007. The Houston Zoo took in both bears and Boomer spent his remaining years being well cared for by the zoo staff. While most bears only live to their 20-30s, Boomer passed away at the ripe old age of 40. Rest in peace, Boomer. I hope Heaven is filled with all the things you loved and missed in this life. Run free mighty bear!

This past spring my sister and I ventured off to NYC for a quick mini-vacay. After attending the Matisse exhibit, we developed an intense craving for French food (mmmm crepes, chocolate mousse, and champagne) so we popped into the lovely Cafe Un Deux Trois for brunch. Thankfully I could put down my fork long enough to squeeze in a quick sketch. ;)

Love was in the air in Houston, TX on Valentine's Day. I decided to document the mood on Houston's only "hill" at Miller Outdoor Theater in Hermann Park.

One of my favorite places for brunch, Cuchara is a little slice of Mexico City in the heart of Houston, TX. It's a true gem in Houston's ever growing restauant scene and definitely not to be missed! www.cuchararestaurant.com

Breakfast on the patio at Pondicheri. My Indian style omelet was awesome. Lots of yummy spices, veggies, and a carrot paratha, yum!
