"I have talked with Merlin already." She says with a small shrug. "He's not all too sure how they work either, but he did say he would look through his books and let me know if he finds anything. In the meantime I figured it couldn't hurt to try a couple harmless experiments on my own." Well, ideally harmless that is. If only in means that she wasn't actually all too sure just how some of the villagers would react to the dreamlight magic possibly being used up on them. Truth be told there were still many mysteries to uncover about the magic she wielded.

"But if you might have any other ideas I would be all for hearing them!" She adds with a light smile. Who knows, even if Ortensia wasn't exactly magically inclined that didn't mean she wasn't capable of coming up with ideas in general. And Lina would take all the ideas and help she could get, especially when such came from her friends.

"I see." Sadly Ortensia didn't know anything about memory orbs. Those were always something that Elina had been able to do. But to channel a memory like that without it being promped randomly.... definitely was waaaay out of her expertise field. And she had none of that to begin with.

"You know, maybe Merlin can help with that, worse case scenario we can try cook up some ideas of how to make this work!"

"Well, I've been trying lately to learn more about my Dreamlight magic and test out it's limits. In this case I was wondering if I could pull a memory orb at will." A soft sigh leaves her. "But, so far it doesn't seem like that's possible." Which meant it was back to just hoping she finds more as she goes about her day to days. If it had worked that would've made things so much easier.

She lightly taps a finger to her lips in thought before continuing. "Though memory orbs in general as still a mystery as is honestly...maybe I should start by studying them a little more first..."

She was thinking about when she had met Oswald, when colors wasn't such a thing and live seemed, well easier. She closed her eyes and kept reminiscing about that, a smile on her lips as she enjoyed the sweet memory. Oh, Ortensia hoped her hunny bunny was ok.

When Elina spoke again, she opened her eyes. "Hum... no, sorry dear. What were you trying to do?"

A dramatic but, clearly meant to be playful sigh leaves her at that. "Any longer and I fear I might just go mad." Elina teases with a small giggle. "Not to say your company isn't pleasant of course, it just feels odd not having anything to do to help out with whatever is going on for a change."

Which, upon thinking about did start to make her wonder just when the last time she really got to just relax since she'd returned was. Every day it always felt like there was something new to do in the Valley be it for someone or the Valley as a whole. Her head tilts slightly as she then asks. "Woooould you perhaps be able to give me a hint at least?"

"I know, but we must wait a little longer. I promise you will be able to check for yourself once the surprise is done!"

Elina wasn't all too sure just where this sudden feeling of, well honestly even she couldn't exactly figure what to call it had come from. But she knew that if there was anyone in the Valley she could talk to that would understand without much explanation it would be the Fairy Godmother. The gentle hand atop her head prompted a small smile as she absently leaned into it a bit.

However, the smile fades just as quickly as she continues. "It's just...difficult. There've been so many times where I really doubt what I'm doing as ruler of this Valley. And after what left everyone to deal with...I don't want anything like the Forgetting to happen again."

“Well, my dear. You just have to remember that every single one of us is a beautiful imperfect soul,” a hand moved to gently brush at Elina’s head, with the gentleness and care a child like her deserves. "There’s no actual perfection in the world, not even magic can be one hundred percent foolproof."

"Perfect! Now, don't tell me anything about it yet, just focus on that memory ok?" Elina was so glad that Ortensia volunteered to help with this little experiment. Now the question was to see if it would actually work. Taking in a deep breath the Valley ruler slowly exhales as she holds a hand out towards the other, attempting to focus her Dreamlight magic all the while to see if she might succeed.

The goal? To see if she could pull a memory orb from someone at will instead of just...finding them at random. After a moment though she began to realize that she wasn't feeling the usual tingling she often did whenever she used her magic so, she asked. "Um, does anything feel different to you?"

"A wonderful thought uh?" She asked before giggling, as if already having one in mind. "Oh I know just the thing!"

"Wonderful!" Elina chirps at the agreement to tag along before starting towards the restaurant. Ever since Jim had arrived here she'd noticed just how...well not out of place necessarily but he certainly seemed, not exactly used to all the friendly company around? That was at least her best guess anyway but, she would never assume for sure. Still as with everyone she wanted to ensure that he felt welcome and comfortable of course.

"I'm honestly feeling something sweet really, but not like too sweet." She muses lightly as the two begin to weave through the trees within the forest. A red racoon spots them but quickly scurries off, as the racoons do, before they got too close. "What about you? Any preferences?"

To say he was surprised at the invitation would be an understatement. Jim was still getting used to the extended company of the Valley and overall to the feeling of actually being welcomed and wanted (company wise) by others. Still, it didn’t hit him as hard as it would’ve been since it came from Elina herself. She’s like that with everybody, even the most suspicious inhabitants of the valley.

“Sure. Since you insist,” the boy replied with a shrug, almost nonchalantly even, but it was the best way to hide the surprise that was there in him. But it didn’t take long for Jim to begin following her towards Remy’s. He could go for a bite. He was a little hungry.
