Whenever Kai hung out with Juniper, he knew it was going have some good ol’ time. He had some fun adventures with her on the sea. So finding her in the garden got his curiosity racing. “I’m not good with colors, Jun. But don’t gardens already have so many colors?” 

“You don’t really have to be good with colors, just list some out and we’ll make ‘em work.” Juniper grinned at her friend, “Some combinations might not be the best, but that’s totally fine. The right amount of love could make anything look nice.”

Lumi wasn’t entirely sure what she thought about the garden around her. It was beautiful, that was for sure. The different greens backed by the view of the ocean behind them. It was something out of a fairytale, which shouldn’t of surprised her as much as it did. When the girl next to her asked if they should change the color palette around here, Lumi wondered exactly what she meant. “I mean, I think the different greens are beautiful. I do feel like the flowers could be a little more vibrant.”

Juniper glanced at the other person with her in the garden, sending them a smile.“Yes, vibrant! That’s exactly what I was thinking, glad to know I’m on the same page as someone else. There’s just so much that could be done but a thin line between keeping it beautiful and going over the top.” More times than not, she was known for the latter but she was doing her best to reel it in.

Ruby had her small body curled up; knees to chest and arms wrapped tightly around. Sitting on the bank of one of the shore lines she sighed. Recently this whole being trapped in the same place thing was making the poor girl exhausted. Her nightmares at an all time high and the stress of it all was causeing the ruby she tried to hide to filter through and be shown, just a scared little girl. Sighing she looked up at anyone close to her and shook her head.

“Do you think....maybe this will end? I really miss being home.” She said quietly. The girl was all for adventure but this... was starting to feel like torture. “Nothing is making me feel good anymore.” Even cooking and baking had the girl to tears because it just was beinging to feel pointless.

Juniper knelt down near the girl, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder to comfort her. She held similar feelings about being trapped on these grounds, having gone through bouts of frustration but ultimately decided keeping a happy-go-lucky attitude was the best way to keep her sane while she was here. 

“I think we’ll get out of here at some point. Just don’t know when, though, which sucks. I get where you’re coming from. I’d love to be in my own bed right about now.” She let out a sigh, trying to think of a more positive approach. “We could always find something new to do? I’m always up for starting a new adventure, and the lack of resources at our disposal just means we can get more creative.”

there was not much you could do with your time at the castle. not if you were as high maintenance as cressida. so exploring the grounds was all she could do today to keep from going insane. she stumbled upon the garden and found a not so familiar face. “depends on the color palette. what were you thinking? i’ll be sure to tell you if it’s ugly or not.”

Juniper looked over to the brunette, grateful for the help. She wasn’t too familiar with the protocol of a royal garden, but it seemed fair to assume that the girl in front of her had a better idea. “I wasn’t really considering one before I remembered this was a castle, honestly, an array of wildflowers was my original plan. Wasn’t sure it’d be wanted, though.”

Juniper had been attempting to bide her time in the castle, seeking new ways for her to be useful but not lose her mind from utter boredom. The garden had become her latest project. She always kept small stashes of different colored pixie dust on hand, in case of emergencies, and now seemed like the best time to make use of it. As she temporarily gave herself the garden talent, the raven-haired girl took notice of the person nearby. “Do you think a color palette’s necessary to spruce this place up?” // @spelledrb​

( camila mendes, cisfemale, she/her ) have you seen JUNIPER in the castle? they are 23 years old is the child of ZARINA, and i heard they’re pretty CURIOUS, but can also be a little QUICK-TEMPERED. wonder how they feel about being trapped here.

basic history;

juniper was adopted by zarina as a wee babe

she grew up learning about her mom’s talent, dust & specifically pixie dust alchemy, and was totally entranced by it

as a little girl, she liked to play around with the dust– with zarina’s supervision of course– and do small experiments herself 

now that she’s older, she goes back and forth between actually helping her mom with experiments and traveling around the world

personality;

she’s a vagabond (loves seeing new places and learning about new cultures) and hates being in one place for too long (except her home when she’s with her mom) so being trapped in the castle is pretty much her worst nightmare

she considers herself fairly adaptable though so she’s ~doing her best~

she’s pretty stubborn but she’s been trying not to let her emotions guide her judgements 

very close with her mom, considers her one of her closest friends
