Remembered this and actually slightly (?) fixed it. Still cuts off some images slightly and the spacing on multi-images isn't great but at least it's better than only having 1/4th of the left-most side of the image show up. HTML and CSS are so much fun~ so glad I never went into web design...

And a reminder to myself that i need to fix the CSS on my actual tumblr page. Doubt anyone actually looks at it, but its not scaling images properly anymore so most things are cut off and bad looking. Guessing it happened when Tumblr changed to the new posting code or something.

How accurate does the bowshot need to be? Are you looking for someone who can tag a hydromelon or the wings on a cold darner?

Do you prefer the dance be to the original Ballad of The Bronze Giant or the more modern and popular number: Seven Heroines, Seven Heros?

And lastly, when attempting to lift the creature in question overhead, is this based on when they are unconscious/cooperative or actively struggling against you?

hot artists don't gatekeep

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

I can't say I've posted much on there yet, but that's just me not being very active lately in general.

so i do think the one saving grace about this is that i think, from the leak, that tumblr staff are attempting (key word) to do this as properly as they can. by which i mean, that (the leak, not the post I shared earlier) was not an official announcement, so they did not need to PR Spin everything in it and it still seemed like they were trying to do not-the-worst anyway

Specifically, that it sounds like Tumblr Staff, not Midjourney, is collecting the data (makes sense - why would Midjourney pay them shit-tons of Totally-Not-A-Scam money to gather public data themselves?) and Tumblr fucked up and identified a lot of data that they collected that was *not* public and should be pruned out before it is sent, supposedly being in that process.

This all points to Tumblr being the chokepoint for the data and potentially able to actually keep their word on letting people opt out and everything. Whether or not that is true, who knows, but the official announcements are always more suspect of PRBullshit than leaks, so here's hoping that staff are at least attempting to curtail this site's deathspiral.

This is some horse shit, Tumblr. It's not surprising that you didn't but the very least you could do would be to warn us and give us the tools to remove our content before you scrape it to sell to those utter fuckholes that are Midjourney. But I get that it's probably the braindead higher ups and not the staff or whatever.

I know Tumblr is a money sink but these garbage ass machine learning companies (Calling it "AI" is just a marketing stunt by morons) are all going to crash and burn and latching yourself onto them is just going to get this place pulled down with it.

Ah well, fuck it, I never liked social media anyway. Tumblr might be a bit closer to a blog than social media but at this point let's just burn down the whole internet. Whole thing's turned into a dumpster fire.

I'm technically still here and on Bsky but man, didn't need more reasons to not be active on the internet.
