Shima33 Release DREAM_128
http://dreamcatalogue.bandcamp.com/album/release
Shima33 is a name synonymous with Dream Catalogue since its early days back when the label opened in early 2014 and here we have invited the young artist back to drop his biggest album to date with us, ‘Release’, for DREAM_128.
It has been a long journey, and ‘Release’ is the culmination of a year long struggle for Shima33, who has battled with depression and suicidal thoughts, all the while finding his own release in his life passion of music creation.
The album is a worthy follow up for the erratic artist’s ‘Museum’, his last album with us just under a year ago. Technically the third installment of his ‘New Concept’ series, Release completes a trilogy of deep ambient textures and melancholic vibes that he is known for as much as his big future funk bangers in other acclaimed albums of his discography like ‘NO’.
You never know what you’re going to get with Shima, who is certainly a character who stands out from the crowd and someone who always manages to project his own unique vision into his art and music, but here we can assure you’re going to get some rich and profound ambient music with some hints at new directions into more abstract and experimental territories.

LILLITH双生 (SEASON_0) Hazard Garden DREAM_127
http://dreamcatalogue.bandcamp.com/a…/season-0-hazard-garden
サイバー ’98 (Saiba 98) is a name that should be familiar to most followers of Dream Catalogue, having been associated with the label since its earliest origins, going all the way back to early 2014 with his first album ‘Computer Dreams’, followed up by ‘Digital Forest’ later that same year which Dream Catalogue owner HKE has cited as one of his favourite albums on the entire label.
Saiba’s artistic influence on the direction of the label and the music scene associated with it has been subtle but important, directly inspiring the likes of Vaperror with ‘Mana Pool’ and HKE’s Subaeris project in albums like ‘Cycle’ and ‘Dreams Love Chaos City’, spawning an entirely new path of far future broken synthetic beats out of what used to be the 2014 vaporwave scene. He also brought to light the incredible Yoshimi, who recently dropped ‘Tokyo Restricted Area’ with us after Saiba’s recommendation.
Always elusive and unpredictable, Saiba went a way for a long time following the release of Digital Forest, releasing some albums in 2015 on low-key Bandcamp pages that only those in the know could find, such as the highly underrated ‘Organic – Android’. This changed earlier this year, as he made a triumphant return on up and coming label Elemental 95 with what served to be the final album in the Saiba 98 project, ‘Rendered Fantasy’
A highly conceptual artist who creates works with suggestive narratives in mind, Saiba has been reborn as LILLITH双生, the entity that has taken over the body of Saiba 98. The new machine.
And now, we are v proud to announce that the official prequel to the new LILLITH双生 series, ‘Hazard Garden (SEASON_0)’ is out now on cassette and digital, marking almost two years since the release of Digital Forest.
In what is his most punishing and intense album to date, LILLITH’s Hazard Garden takes elements of the Saiba 98 sound – chopped up Burial-esque vocals, emotional synth tones and percussion that sounds like broken robotics coming to life – and delivers something much more punishing and intense than ever before, following a trend of harder hitting releases on Dream Catalogue in recent months. Hazard Garden is both LILLITH/Saiba’s best production work to date and perhaps his most realised artistic achievement yet, creating something of a beautiful nightmare with MPC-played abstract beats and eerie future textures. All old school dreamers who have been following us since the beginning need to listen to this.

COCAINEJESUS We're Worried About You DREAM_125
What can be said about COCAINEJESUS that has not already been said? Well, quite a lot… Despite winning plaudits from many reputable figures and having some widely loved songs and albums to his name already, COCAINEJESUS has yet to release any of his music on a record label or via any physical medium. This changes now, with his debut album for Dream Catalogue ‘We’re Worried About You’ which will be coming out on both cassette and CD, and is one of our biggest and most exciting signings in a long time.
Despite his young age, COCAINEJESUS is a pure prodigy in the sense that he has crafted his own brand unique to him, not succumbing to passing trends like many do, but instead laying out his own vision and going with it in a cool fashion. Slight influences from witch house, cloud rap and general electronic music of the modern day are there – but this new album, ‘We’re Worried About You’, is heart-wrenching and emotional without falling back on tricks or cliches. It is pure hard emotion music that just hits the spot, and through it, Coco’s unique brand of millennial insanity shines through, painting a picture of modern teenage dreams in a world that is increasingly heading over the edge.
With track titles like “Cuffed Jeans With Ripped Knees”, “Do You Wanna Split These Fries With Me” and “No Direction In Particular”, it’s almost as if nothing much matters in the world of Coco, but when these sawtooth synths and timeless squarewave melodies puncture your heart, your own memories of youth come flooding back in a legitimate way that not many musicians can replicate. This is a pure talent that comes from the persona that lays behind COCAINEJESUS, and we expect ‘We’re Worried About You’ will be just the first step towards eventual greatness. This one is massive.
Available now on cassette, CD and digital release.

Diamondstein The Ridges DREAM_122
http://dreamcatalogue.bandcamp.com/album/the-ridges
Debuting with an album we have been hyped to release for some time now, a new artist for Dream Catalogue in 2016 is Diamondstein, whose work brings classical musicality, the macabre ideas of metal and next level electronic instrumentation to create a unique sound that pulls various ideas from synthwave, techno and film scores and moulds them into a unique holistic vision for an album unlike anything you will have ever heard.
Still, this is pure dream music that fits right at home on Dream Catalogue – but these are dreams of darkness, pessimism and dread. If 2814’s ‘Birth Of A New Day’ provides a shimmery glimpse into a romantic and melancholic future, Diamondstein’s ‘The Ridges’ takes us on a 40 minute trip through the dark underbelly of that world, where the people who live for the night lurk, where lust and sin reigns over love and hope. The Ridges brings a subtle sense of danger and terror to Dream Catalogue that has not been present in our two year history of releasing dream music, but something that is very much a part of dreaming life.
The artist, who veils his face with a mask for public performance, is a dark and pensive character and this attitude comes across in both his music and visual collaborations, such as the incredible music video for ‘Nat Sherman Arpeggiator’ which Thump premiered in late 2015. But with the depth of sound and cinematic qualities of the music found in ‘The Ridges’, you can piece together Diamondstein’s narrative purely from the music itself which is very visually suggestive in its own right – brought to life with its evolving minimalism and dark low octave sound manipulation.
Diamondstein has created a score for a cyberpunk dystopia without the bright neon lights. It is at times savage and loud and at times sparse and moody. Overall, it is a trip into a dark future and one that takes the idea of “dream music” to the next level.

The Best Of Dream Catalogue, 2814-2815
and the DREAM Competition...
--
It has been two years to the day since the release of Romantic Dreams by Hong Kong Express [DREAM_1], the first album that launched our label on 29th January 2014. In that time we have grown so much from our small beginnings and we are really thankful to every person who has supported us over the past two years to get to this point.
And so, we are giving back to everyone who has believed and supported in us along the way by holding this huge giveaway competition to launch our “Best Of Dream Catalogue, 2814-2815” CD, our latest compilation album.
Every purchase of the ‘Best Of Dream Catalogue 2814-2814’ CD will count as one entry to the DREAM Competition, in which we have 111 (yes, one-hundred-and-eleven) prizes on offer, including one huge grand prize where the lucky winner will win 2 vinyls, 24 cassettes and 2 CD's. There are over a hundred other cassettes and CD's to be won by all the other entrants also.
The compilation itself is a selection of 20 tracks from our label’s two-year history that we feel reflect the unique niche we have carved for ourselves in the music world. It was curated and mixed by the label’s owners, HKE and Telepath in late 2015 and features tracks from multiple artists featured on the label.
We had the CD produced by glass master, which means it is an authentic CD that will work in any CD player, rather than a CD-R – and will also be more durable over time. The CD comes in a jewel case with a high quality 8-page booklet and inlay/back cover.
The CD is on sale now and all purchases until February 12th.will automatically enter the DREAM Competition for a chance to win one of 111 prize bundles.
You can buy the CD and enter the competition here: https://dreamcatalogue.bandcamp.com/album/best-of-dream-catalogue-2814-2815
