Hi there, I love your work! Would you mind telling me which glaze combination you used/how you achieved the outside of the Bigger Octobowl #2? I’ve been scouring the glaze layering resources for ages and i can’t figure it out but I really love it. If it’s not something you want to share then absolutely no worries! <3
Good news! That's actually a single glaze - it's Spectrum's floating blue & I LOVE how it enthusiastically splits into perfect blue/green tendrils! Highly recommend Spectrum's floating glazes in general, as they do some really neat stuff with just one glaze :)
This is another sample guy I made to test it (before slapping it on the octo-bowl)
& it also looks VERY neat on black clay (PSH 540i)

And then later my brain was like what were you thinking building up all that thread. And then when today after the fourth additional color, my brain was like you gotta stop now or you never will. Then when I pulled it off the frame and stepped back, my brain (with a headache today) says see, told you.
Now to take something to make it stop hurting, and then bind and deliver…
