His mind still couldn’t wrap around the advice Michael had given him, to never stop trying. But he stopped, didn’t he? He had given it a fair effort and then he had moved away to conquer what he should have handled first instead of listening to the whimsical ideologies that came from his former and again present boss. “I’ll give him a little more time until I decide what the best plan of action is,” another laugh fell from his lips, swallowing thickly. “I loved tuna. Big change there. I guess that’s the biggest change in it all,” Jim nodded, attempting to push back the thought of other things he loved, especially the biggest one sitting in front of him. 

“Happy? I’ve always been happy, Pam. I mean - It’s definitely a different kind of happy, but it’s good nonetheless,” the words didn’t even make sense to him, a part of his mind truly questioning if he’d been happy. “Are you, though? Life’s been… pretty crazy for you, huh?”

“We’ll see. I’m not sure I’m favorite material anymore,” he shrugged, the awkward smile still setting on his lips. Jim had changed, hadn’t he? He wasn’t entirely sure, but if people were already replacing him, he couldn’t be the same guy. His mind tried not to care, thinking over and over again that his transfer back wasn’t permanent. This was all just another step in the path, leading him to a new journey - eventually. “Plus, Dwight is just so happy,” he teased, smirking lowly to the thought. “Wouldn’t want to ruin that just yet.” He had sworn off of pranking yet now it rattled back in his head, something about Scranton always bringing out the most pure parts of who Jim was. 

“She’s great. Actually, she was the desk right behind me at the other office. Funny how that works,” his eyes drifted to his shoes, noticing the weirdness in his words. Was he that predictable, always falling for someone just inches away? “Oh, Andy? Interesting is far from the right word. He is just as weird as he acts and he won’t stop calling me Big Tuna,” he scoffed. “I swear I haven’t even eaten tuna since”
