I HAVE LOVED BETTE THROUGH THICK AND THIN. Jennifer Beals is an amazing actress who brought to life the character of Bette Porter. Along with her on screen, on again off again, one true love, Tina Kennard, played by Laurel Holloman, they brought visibility to the lesbian and gay community. Jennifer and Laurel shared a chemistry that was both electronic and palpable, forever etching into existence an iconic pairing. Now, recently, I have discovered in a smaller production scale, a web series, another strong pairing in the series Stupid Wife. The two lead actresses, Priscila Buiar and Priscila Reis, play Valentina and Luiza, a married lesbian couple. Buiar/Reis also shares an intoxicating palable chemistry. My newest guilty pleasure.
