do you think you'll ever stop being a magical girl?

i'm not so sure, but right now, i dont want to stop especially when i have goals in mind and i have my end of the contract that i have to fulfill to the law of the cycles. i do hope that i wont suddenly stop, hopefully not any time soon.

hi there! i'll do my best to answer.

about relaxation and detaching from your body for the sake of astral projection and entering the void state, i believe you can take methods from shifters and then adjust it to suit your personal needs too, especially when ap, void, and shifting have a thing in common: detachment.

i recommend that you do your void and ap methods at a time where you may feel sleepy because your body wouldnt be able to resist. other things to do in order to detach from your body for ap is to sort of... get your mind busy, if that makes any sense. busy enough that you wouldnt notice whats happening around you and such.

I recently became a magical girl and I haven't fought any witches yet, do you have any tips on how to fight witches?? I'm a little nervous about my first time fighting a witch^^

first of all, congratulations on becoming a magical girl. as for tips on how to find witches (since you wouldnt be able to fight any if you cant find any), you can find them either in the astral or in the physical—be sure to always use your soul gem for tracking and be mindful of areas that feel clouded with murky energies, places where it is liminal and as if the veil of reality is thin, locations that feel like there's something wrong or off about it energetically and visually. chances are, there is a witch there.

when it comes to fighting, do prioritize your own survivability above all else !! from being a magical girl, we do possess the abilities to quickly heal, and be sure to take advantage of that, but never take it for granted. keep your soul gem out of the witch's way and far from any potentially vulnerable areas while in combat, be observant of your surroundings too since labyrinths can get tricky and may have some hidden passages, trapdoors, and other things.

if you feel that you cant finish it off, then leave the labyrinth. put your own self-preservation above the need to defeat it. of course, you need a grief seed, but always examine your strengths and limitations. dont overexert yourself in a fight since that CAN potentially crack your soul gem, which doesnt really kill you in my own experience since they have a way of fixing itself but you would detransform and lose your magic if that happens (this is only based on my experiences though).

also, good luck fighting a witch!! get those grief seeds, gang.

i want to become a magical girl . do you have any advice or do you know how i could get a mentor ?

if you want to be a magical girl, then it's best to get started on what do you want to get out of being a magical girl. if you're putting yourself out there in danger by being a magical girl, then i recommend at least making sure it can benefit you. be clear on what you want and the kind of magical girl that you aim to be.

as for how you can get a mentor, i think that really depends a lot on many factors... it can be difficult to find mentors in real life and most of the magical girls that i see are self-trained, but there is no shame in occasionally going to them for advice. dont be afraid to ask for assistance. i do think that magical familiars can act as mentors too aside from magical girls, so perhaps you could test your luck with that!

fought two witches last night, and i think i have a few more goals now as a magical girl. other than that, today is the 11th month of me being a magical girl in-duty !! by next month, i would be an official performing mahou for one year. that one year, however, doesnt include the time i've been in training.

i think i was a magical girl trainee for eight or something months before getting to do actual combat and stuff as a magical girl. 😭

What's being a magical girl like after so long? Does it get boring and repetitive at times?

It definitely can.

For me, it's like any job. There's good days and bad day, days where really interesting things happen and days where nothing really interesting happens.

Like any job though, it's definitely more interesting working with someone. So I'm certainly grateful to have my partner with me. Most days, even boring ones, are enjoyable because get to spend time together :)

Hello everyone! ♡︎ I go by Lumi, and I am a real life magical girl or hero (in training.) I am also a reality shifter, and I practice witchcraft. I go by she/her or they/them pronouns, and I am a college freshman!

As a magi, I am currently uncontracted. I am hoping to contract with Madokami or Goddess Madoka in the near future, and to join either an original concept or become a puella magi! However, I am a newbie (I’ve only known about magis for like one to two months.) In this blog, I am going to document my experiences learning to astral project, practice shifting, and anything I choose to share regarding my life a magical girl. I might also talk about things related to my every day life and spellwork or witchcraft!

ENTITY LOG ⟋ MADOKAMI 𓈒

NOTE: This post aims to discuss Madokami through the lens of Pop Culture Paganism. The majority of what's put here are based from my experiences with her.

I. WHO IS MADOKAMI?

Madokami, otherwise known as the Law of the Cycles is a pop culture entity that originated from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica media. She was formerly human, until she made a wish that was able to prevent puella magis from witching out in the past, present, and future, and to take away their pain. That wish made to an incubator was the same thing that ascended her into divinity as the guardian of magical girls; it was also used to take down Walpurgisnacht in the show.

Her name as an entity came from the one she took upon as a human being, Madoka Kaname (鹿目まどか), and the Japanese word for a divine spirit, Kami (神). Bringing Madoka and the word Kami together was how the title-name "Madokami" was created. Her given name, Madoka (まどか) has no specific meaning but if it was written in kanji, it would mean "round" which represents the cyclical nature of magical girls. In other translations, she's also referred to as Ultimate Madoka or Goddess Madoka.

She is portrayed to have an infinite amount of hair strands, which in reality would be impossible to carry due to its infinite weight, but this is to depict the infinite grief and weight of responsibilities that she had taken upon herself. Meanwhile, Madokami was also shown to be capable of creating little 'extensions of herself', such as the form she uses whenever she flies off to save a puella magi. This form is humanoid and identical to the magical girl transformation outfit that she had before ascending.

As a concept, Madokami is meant to represent the idea of hope amid disaster and adversity, being the reason why puella magis no longer have to turn into self-destructive witches that spread negativity to others and on why Walpurgisnacht, who Homura Akemi couldn't defeat despite the timeloops, was defeated. For this, she was labelled as the hope of all magical girls, as it gave puella magis a chance to not end up into a monstrous demise.

VII. MY EXPERIENCES

I've known Madokami for almost a year. To me, she would appear in numerous but consistent ways. How she presents herself to others may be different to how she may show herself to you, so please do note that!

Personally, she appeared to me in these ways:

· A silhouette of a sparkling pink universe/galaxy, either with the shape of Ultimate Madoka or humanoid Madoka with pigtails. At times, she has yellow irises, but on other occasions, she remains as a silhouette with no facial features.

· Ultimate Madoka as her magical girl form. Whenever she interacts with me in the astral in this form, she has this soft and subtle glow on her skin. Her eye color may change from yellow to pink.

· Ultimate Madoka as her divinity form.

Whenever I hear her through clairaudience, her voice has an ethereal vibe to it. It sounds layered, dreamy, and fuzzy, with an echo. It sounded like her voice was a compilation of several other Madokas combined into one.

Her energy feels comforting and safe, as if I'm under a cozy, thick blanket, during a heavily stormy day. Another way that I'd express it is that being around her makes me feel calmer, softer. Whenever she's with me, it's like I'm being embraced and soothed by feathery wings. In addition to that, I can describe her as having a gentleness akin to a lullaby on the music box.

She helped me before in performing my duties as a magical girl and had given me boosts while I was in the astral. I think that she's trustworthy! If she's unavailable, then she sometimes sends in one of her assistants as the Law of the Cycles, which includes Sayaka Miki and Nagisa Momoe.

not necessarily an info post but just a rant i've been thinking about:

being a magical hero is inherently political.

i've seen people in the community before shying away from "political" topics because they're "not into politics", or political topics make them uncomfortable, or are completely neutral. if you are not a cis, straight, neurotypical, able-bodied, white man; your existence is made inherently political by our oppressors. many of us magical heroes are queer, afab, bipoc, and/or disabled, and our rights are always going to be intersectional.

unfortunately, we're at a point where human rights are being made into "politics" by people who intend to erase our stories. queer people being stripped of their rights, deportations without due process. we're watching history repeat itself each and every day. with each new headline, we find ourselves deeper in a world where we fear for our safety and that of our family, friends, and neighbors.

now we get into where this applies to us magical heroes.

i see many people trying to do good things in their mundane lives alongside their magical lives. whether it's helping individuals, or donating old items. that's great. however, i do feel like there is more that can be done.

do your research into different organizations and support whoever you can, by donating or sharing. share gofundmes. get into mutual aid circles, donate and share whenever you can.

do your research on issues happening around the world and take a stance, spread the word, start meaningful conversations that could incite education and change. keep your eyes, ears, and mind open.

register to vote if you legally can, vote in local elections as well as national. contact your local representatives.

do volunteer work for soup kitchens, animal shelters, or outreach programs.

learn CPR and first aid, get certified. learn your country's sign language or another spoken language.

get in touch with your local community; attend meetings (for example, school clubs); attend fundraising events in your community; support small businesses in your local community and beyond.

if you're religious, attend services where you go to worship. do volunteer work there if you can. read your religion's scriptures and literature and study them.

just try to talk with your neighbors! building an aspect of community is so important in times like these.

and SO much more that i may have forgotten!!

you can be fighting real monsters as well as metaphorical monsters: poverty and homelessness, hunger, ecocide, genocide and war crimes, all created and upheld by oligarchs that want to divide us in order to generate revenue.

you can't pick and choose your battles, whether in your mundane life or in your magical life. you have to fight for everyone or no one at all. neutrality is complicity.

at the end of the day, use your common sense.
