been debating on posting this simply because i know a good chunk of the twdg community goes INSANE for kenny (me included) but i hate how a lot of people within the community ignore the complexity of his character… everyone loves to act like kenny is some godlike savior but he really isn’t. kenny is not a good man by any means. sure he’s a family man, and that’s definitely a good quality to have (especially when taking care of an 11 year old little girl and a newborn) but everyone ignores or defends the fact that he emotionally manipulated clementine in favor of his own ideals. im not glazing jane either here don’t get me wrong she was pretty awful too, they were both terrible candidates to be her caretaker. kenny was not at all portrayed within season two (in my opinion) to have genuinely had clementine’s best interest at heart. it could be the fault of the writing, which it honestly is considering how most of season two’s writing is a complete dumpster fire, but manipulative behavior aside is the main thing i dislike about him. (besides his flawed ‘affinity’ relationship programming with lee in season one). my favorite scene involving s2 kenny is where he takes the blame for the walkie at howe’s. that scene is literally the ONLY scene in the entirety of s2 where we see an adult actually take accountability for something and comfort clementine. i really wished they portrayed that version of kenny more. everyone conveniently forgets ALL the time, not just in season 2, and excluding season 1, that clementine is a CHILD. not just someone under 18 years old age, but a CHILD. clementine is a BABY. i understand clementine as the player character has to do a majority of the objectives within the game for the sake of gameplay but cmon bro
okay anyway you guys aren’t here for my rants im sorry lol take my kenny sketch he was super fun to draw actually (i still prefer him over jane tbh)

/ / / Season 2 spoilers / / /
What’s up yall, I want to talk about season 2:
Personally (and maybe unanimously) it isn’t as good as season 1. However, it isn’t the worse, albeit there are some flaws and story directions that I find questionable, and that agood amount of what I have to say is probably a broken record, but y’know…
First, Kenny.
I always love to get a sense and try to understand a character when there is change to their character, what I have to say about Kenny is that, when he loss Sarita, he lost himself. Kenny is a Family man, without it, he has no sense of direction, and it shows. He became very unstable both mentally and emotionally. No better example than at the half-constructed home. My play through went the route in which, Clem went for Luke, fell in the lake, and was freezing to death. What does Kenny do, not comfort Clem nor start a fire, but to pummel the shit out of Arvo. Which I couldn’t justify to myself. He ignored the immediate situation (Clem freezing) and went after some kid for whatever reason, like bro, are we serious right now?!?!
Second, Carver and Howe’s
Leaving just an episode at the hardware store and Carver was such a waste of development. I hear all these talks about how good of a villain Carver is, yet all I remember from him is his death, his first name (like, imagine being kidnapped by a guy named William 💀) that puffy jacket he wears, the beating he did on Kenny, and him telling Carlos to wallop Sarah. No development, no immediate limbo of how bad or “good” he is. If we spent, maybe two episodes in Howe’s, learning about Carver, I feel it would be better, like one episode is getting captured and understanding the inter workings of the store, the next, trying to retaliate and escape.
Plus, where the hell is the 400 days group?!?!? We had a whole DLC only for 2 second cameos?!?!
Third, Jane and others like Mike, Bonnie, etc.
Jane is selfish. She put AJ on the line in order to make a point that Kenny is unstable, and she did it at the worse moment, and provoking and insulting him leading up to that point?!?! Don’t hate me over it, but she deserved what she had coming.
I understand but don’t like the decision of both Mike and Bonnie when leaving. I understand that, yeah, Kenny is unstable, and he pummeling Arvo is a red flag, but leaving? Personally, I would’ve tried to reach a midpoint between the two sides, but Y’know Telltale.
I don’t understand why y’all are hating on Bonnie. Sure, she didn’t do much to make herself helpful (maybe giving my that f#ck ass jacket) but she ain’t to bad. She even ask Clem if the group ever done what she wants, which was so huge in understand just how much the group relied on Clem (11 year might I remind you).
Now the Cabin group. I hate how they killed Pete off so quickly, I feel like keeping him around and having him die at Howe’s would’ve been better, as it could help highlight the cruelty of Carver (giving more depth into Carver’s evilness😱). Other honorable mentions could include Nick (after episode 2, was kinda useless), Sarah (if Clem could’ve tried to help her more than a pep talk, and try to teach her how to survive only for it to fail, could’ve been better), and Alvin (could’ve shown how more conflict between Alvin and Carter, to add tension). The other characters from the cabin group were as good as you were gonna get them, so, yeah.
P.S. I don’t think Carlos is a doctor.
A solid 7/10
So much to write about, holy moly. But, I’ll see y’all after I finish season 3!

/// Twdg season 1 spoilers ///
I am at a lost for words. And what I do have to say is not enough.
I’ve played many video games, read many books, watch many movies and TV Shows, and have barely shed a tear. Yet, the game, this one little game published over a decade ago (or ~12 years give/take) has brought the waterworks upon me so f#cking hard that it has changed my view on video game storytelling as a whole. Where do I even start?!?!
The emotional connections that I (and probably many people) have formed with the characters, especially Lee throughout the season, is such a strong bond. You are directly making decisions that affect the characters. That creates a sense of emotional immersion, that at the last scene when we are given the choice to either kill Lee, or cuff him, we are indirectly killing a part of ourselves, if not a very close person to us. Lee goes from this convicted felon, to this fatherly figure for Clementine, which is absolutely gorgeous.
The character development in this game is perfectly executed.
Like Ben and Kenny
Kenny goes from this hatful man who blames Ben for the death of his family. Only for Ben to snap back and make Kenny realize that: Ben’s got it worse that he does. And personally, the development of Kenny is perfectly portrayed with the mercy killing on Ben. If Kenny had not changed, he would’ve not done it. Yet, he did, and realized that Ben didn’t want to become a walker, which shows that Kenny somewhat cares for Ben, I even if it isn’t significantly.
I have a crap ton more to say about this game, and if I were to say it all, it would be close to a 1000 words. I might make another post but who knows.

/ / / Season 1 episode 1/2 spoilers / / /
Okay, I just finished it and I got a few (lot) words about it:
First, let’s talk about Larry. Personally, I find it pretty unanimous that a majority of people hated him, if not all, and he was a total dick. However, he doesn’t deserve getting his head pancaked by a salt lick. Especially that both his daughter AND Clementine were there, for Christ sakes Lily is covered in her own dad’s blood, they don’t need to see that. And if Larry did turn, it would still be rough on both of them
At the decision to either help Lily or Kenny, I chose Lily, it made more sense, just cause someone drops to the ground from a medical emergency doesn’t mean we kill him. No daughter should see their father get killed. Kenny was the asshole of the day:
He jumps the gun, and kills Larry (with like no hesitation!). You can even see a second of regret on his face post salt lick. IMO, The better idea was to have Kenny on stand by (in case Larry turns) would’ve made more sense, but this is telltale we’re talking about so…. . In addition, he has the balls to call Lee worthless. Like cmon, he’s thinking with the salt lick, not his head.
Now, I understand Kenny to some extent (I ain’t biased). Larry was basically a raging bull in a small meat fridge. If he turned, that would be horrific. But Kenny jumping the gun is giving off the same vibe as when we first met Larry in s1e1, with the hasty accusations, and lack of reason.
