Kenma may not seem like the type to care much about gifts, but he enjoys giving little things to his partner. It wouldn’t be flowers, but a variation of something practical. For example, if you’re the clumsy type and enjoys cute things, he’ll get you some cute printed band-aids!

He likes seeing your adorable reactions more than anything else. It makes him feel warm and happy.

Holding hands in public! He doesn’t mind the attention he gets because you guys are dating. It’s quite straightforward.

A bit protective, but not exactly possessive. He trusts whoever he’s dating a lot. Will give you a quick kiss before you leave though!

Playing video game together isn’t a must in a relationship with him, but it makes him feel loved when you show interest in his hobby.

Kenma may be oblivious to your hints to cuddle, so please just tell him up front. He’ll gladly drop his game to hold you if he’s not doing anything too important.

Cuddle sessions tend to be quite long. He’s itching to play his games, but sometimes he just likes to do absolutely nothing. The both of you would either take a nap or be discussing random things like whatever was on the Reddit homepage.

Soft kisses oh my!! His favorite kisses are kisses on the cheek. It gets his his ears red in less than two seconds

new beginnings

oikawa tooru x reader (scenario)

here’s a treat for celebrating 1 year! it’s been sitting in my drafts for a while & i finally found the motivation to complete it. enjoy!

Oikawa never truly felt like he ever experienced “love.” What was the concept that everyone seemed to rave about? Of course, he has tried dating before. Holding hands, kissing, and sex. Nothing he’s ever done intimately with a person really felt genuine to him.

He liked the company. Oikawa enjoyed having people tied around his finger. He fed off the attention of the people who adored him. He stood high above everyone, looking down on them from the pedestal he was put on. It was difficult to argue that he didn’t like this feeling.

But this feeling was wrong.

“Hey, can you help me?”

Oikawa glanced at the doorway. He was sitting in a near-empty classroom early in the morning. It was Y/N, the person who never seemed to fall for any of his flirtatious advances. He never pursued you since high school started; after all, everyone else was much more readily available. But for some reason, you always made him feel a little fuzzy.

You raised a brow, waiting for his response.

“Sure thing,” he replies cheerily, getting up from his seat. 

He wanted an excuse to roam the halls before class. Oikawa stores his phone in his pocket, walking behind you. As usual, you don’t spare him much of a glance. 

You guide him to the art classroom to gather supplies for the entire class. As the classroom representative, it was your responsibility to organize items for the event. The culture festival was coming up, and your class had voted on an art gallery curated by the students. The class was to spend today’s homeroom making art for the show. It was a rather plain suggestion, but the other classes had signed up for other ideas prior. Oikawa’s plan was to draw a volleyball and call it a day.

A couple minutes after rummaging through boxes, he heard a crash followed by a yelp. He whisked around to see you on the ground, the stool rolling away from the scene. Fortunately, you seemed to be relatively uninjured besides the potential bruising on your bottom.

“You want me to rub that for you?” he teased, helping you up. 

You glare at him, frowning.

“No, thank you.”

His eyes met yours. Even though he was teasing you, he looked genuinely concerned. Your heart skipped a beat. You always knew Oikawa wasn’t the perfect prince everyone depicted him as. It was so easy to see through him and all the hard work he’s put into creating this reputation of his. You didn’t want to like him. Maybe it was because you tried so hard to see the flaws in him that you’ve forgotten understand his true self.

You didn’t actually know him at all.

“Next time, you can ask me to get something off the shelf,” he says.

“Okay,” you mumbled, crouching to pick up the brushes you knocked down onto the floor. 

Oikawa helped, quickly working alongside you. Your hand met his as you reached for the last one. He kept feeling the same fuzziness in his heart whenever you touched him. 

“Y/N, do you believe in love?” he asked suddenly.

There was a short moment of silence before you spoke. To him, that felt like an eternity. He was already slightly regretting what he asked in the spur of the moment.

“Well, love comes in many forms.”

“No, that doesn’t answer my question,” Oikawa paused, then repeated, “do you believe in love?”

“Yes, I do,” you spoke objectively.

With that said, Oikawa reached for your hand that was still holding the last brush and navigated your arm gently to his chest. You could tell that his heart was racing even through the layers of his uniform.

“Can you teach me how to love?”

omg I just discovered your MBTI + Haikyuu post and it’s amazing. like I’ve screenshotted it so I can keep referring back as I’ve just started watching. I know there’s not much more to do since you’ve pretty well covered it but just know I would LOVE more MBTI themed posts / relationship dynamics. Or even an Enneagram version? But yeah just wanted to say I loved that post and admire the effort you put into it. WOW

it's been exactly 1 year since i started this blog omg!!

i know it's not my place to celebrate since i haven't been consistently writing on here since july 2019, but thank you guys for staying with me for a whole year! having 1.5k people follow me for my writing is such an amazing feat. i never expected to hit this number because of how unreliable i am.

also, i never properly introduced myself on this blog for a year. (i think only 1 person who dmed me knows my nickname) it's because i literally have THE SAME NAME as another popular haikyuu writer on tumblr lol. i've been debating what to call myself besides "admin," but tbh nothing really resonates with me. the anonymity was fun for a year, but i've felt so distant from everyone just because my content is mainly hcs/scenarios & nothing really personal. i try to keep it to a minimum because i figure people tend to skip over OT posts anyway.

TLDR; thank you all for helping me reach this milestone. the haikyuu fandom is truly incredible & i'm so lucky to be apart of something so wonderful!!

Hey! Are there any other haikyuu blogs you recommend?

hmm, i think there are plenty of HQ blogs on here that are run by excellent writers so it’s tough to narrow it down. ever since i started this blog, i haven’t read anyone else’s work because i feel like it’ll influence my writing & how i perceive the characters (i don’t wanna unintentionally steal ideas. i used to run a blog for a different popular fandom & i’ve noticed some people had taken parts of my work and just reworded it)

but before i started to write my own haikyuu content, i remember i would ALWAYS go to @sfw-haikyuu-nsfw !! hands down one of the most iconic haikyuu blogs while it was still super active
