Our Future Farm 🍂

Michigan. Lots of land. Lots of trees. Open spaces & pastures. Corn fields. Stocked pond big enough for boats. Lots of animals. As close to off grid as possible.

The ultimate goal 🍁 My dream farm home on land.
Clean house, minimal visible items - organized & appealing to the eye. Dark hardwood foods throughout, with vintage Victorian style rugs everywhere. Neutral walls with dark accent walls in dark browns, reds, blues, & greens. Polished dark wood surfaces & furniture. Books. Crystals. Gems. Rocks. Live plants. Faux flowers. Scentsy wax warmers and diffusers. Pottery decor. Every room smells amazing with Scentsy wax warming - the month of October year round ❤️ Calming. Relaxing. Witchy. A bit spooky, but beautiful. 🍂🍁

I believe this home will be an old farm house on some property. Needs work, a contractors special. & I’ll will - piece by piece - fix it up. Most of the work I’ll be able to do myself, I’m currently learning so many useful skills in construction. As I’d like a rather large, early-mid 1900s home, on a large amount of land - the renovation process will take years.. so the first thing I would do is put a modular home on the land & start building my farm on my land. I have lots of plans for that though too. ❤️
Side note to the renovation project: I’m about to be doing this very thing with a friend of mine, who I met through working & she is doing the construction courses with me at the community college next month. 🙂 She’s buying her neighbors house & we are going to be cutting it & flipping it ourselves. I am so excited for this!

Ideally I’d like to find about 15 acres of land, however I could work with 5 if I absolutely had to.. but I don’t want to settle on my forever property.. and I want the next move to be the last time… I don’t want to keep moving my kids around.. I’m ready to plant my roots. I need lots of wooded area (for hunting, privacy, resources, wildlife) & lots of pasture space for cows & horses to roam. I also want to build pens & shelters for goats & sheep, pigs & a variety of birds - chickens, turkeys, pheasants, and possibly a couple peacocks.

Rabbits of course will be a large focus for this farm - I want to breed pedigreed Flemish Giants & Silver Fox. I want a huge barn with a ton of cages set up.

With this set up I’d be able to breed healthy, quality, beautiful rabbits & sell them for high dollar. Clean up will be easy too!
