Two and a Half Years Later... [DoD2 Epliouge]
Music: https://youtu.be/II1OPtGzuSA
It was a warm summer day. A short, orange haired boy wearing a green shirt, brown sneakers and jeans was looking out of his room. His bandaged right hand placed against the window, watching the the summer breeze blow through the trees. Cars passed the street, people walked on the sidewalk, and kids played on the grass not far from the room he was in. Brown eyes take notice of all of these features, saving the memory for something important. He breaths out onto the window and turns to his bed. Being in a hospital room for over two year wasn’t the worst thing ever, considering the things that he has been through. This was the best solution for him and for everyone else. Reminding himself of the other nineteen teenagers, with a very shaky hand, he picks up the cellphone on the bed looks at all of the unread messages they sent to him. Trying to open the phone was difficult in itself, and to view the messages proved to be another challenge. But that minor inconvenience didn’t bother him. He scrolls through the various messages that the nineteen students sent to him. Some sent a swift congratulations, some sent at a paragraph on how happy they were, one person sent a very snarky and condescending message, and others didn’t send him a message at all. And that was fine. His hand still shakes and twitches as he moves the phone into the jean pocket. The boy hasn’t fully recovered from the surgery, and he may not fully recover from it. Those two and a half years were tough with the constant surgeries, all the physical therapy, and after all of that his hands can only do the most basic of motor functions. Hopefully, after the rest of his physical therapy, he might be able to draw again. Then he can draw that landscape he will keep inside his memory. But until then it will only be a dream. “Taguchi deary? Are you ready to depart?” A nurse peaks through the doorway with a smile. “Yes... Just one moment please.” His quiet voice responds to her. It’s time to leave already. On the counter lies his backpack, filled with each card, photo, gift that he has received from his friends over the two years in the hospital. Slipping on the backpack he takes one last look to the outside, and a big smile appears on Taguchi’s face. He hasn’t smiled like that since the dream. While the backpack was heavy he managed to maintain balance as he walks out of the room with the nurse. The two walk together, side by side, to the front door of the hospital room. “Are you sure you don’t want everyone to say goodbye?” The nurse asks to the short boy. “Yeah.” Taguchi responds.
The two walk quietly after that short conversation. Taguchi has never been the one for big goodbyes, or conversation.
They reach the entrance, with a stop or two along the way to talk with some of the nurses and doctors who were passing by. They said things like ‘Oh Taguchi we will miss you.’ and ‘I hope you are given a full recovery Taguchi.’. With each person he thanked them and continue to walk with the nurse.
The nurse said one last goodbye before opening the door for Taguchi. What was waiting for him was a black limousine ready to take him back home. He said his goodbyes to the nurse and leaves the hospital, going straight to the limousine. Though he stops for a moment, closes his eyes and breaths in. He felt the hot summer heat instantly, but the wind to immediately cool him off. He heard the cars on the street and some of the people on the sidewalk. “How long are you gonna inner-retrospect like that? Get in the fucking limo.” A faint voice inside his head cries out. Sighing as he hears the voice, Taguchi opens his eyes and begins to walk to the limo again. He mumbles a ‘Shut up you.’ before reaching the limo driver who was waiting outside. The limo driver opens the door, takes helps him take his bag off and helps him to buckle his seat, then closes the door when he is all situated. The driver returns to the front of the limo and gets himself ready. “Where am I taking you? Would you like to go somewhere or head straight home?” “Home, please.” Taguchi responds. The driver nods and starts the limo, beginning to drive off from the hospital. Taguchi watches the hospital go further, and further away. Slipping away from is view until he can no longer see it.
He sighs, relaxing in his seat and closing his eyes. Though the moment of relaxation doesn’t last long because he feels a presence within the limo. Opening his eyes he sees three girls: one with blue hair, one with yellow, and one with pink. Each doing their own thing and minding their business in the limo. He stays quiet, then smiles, and closes his eyes while relaxing his head onto the seat.
And for a second, it feels like everything in Taguchi’s world will go right for once.

Light At The End Of The Tunnel | AWAKENING
Your minds faded into light. Into nothingness. You drifted for seconds, years, moments upon moments. Time was immaterial in this white void.
You have eyes, and they are pure light.
All your senses are warm. Your only sensation is warmth.
...
You close your eyes.
Even in the darkness, the light still tickles your eyelids.
Your eyelids are light.
And yet the darkness comes, settling over you like a thick blanket.
There is always light in the darkness.
…
…
Eventually, a beeping meets your ears. It’s soft, rhythmic. Gradually it grows in intensity. Finally, your eyes flutter open. In front of you, you see…
…
…
A… hospital room?
The beeping increases in frequency as your eyes dart around the sparse, pale-white room. You hear a sharp rasping in your ears, growing quicker, more frequent…
There’s a rush of activity around you, figures with masks, holding you down, speaking words that only meet your ears as a dull murmur. You feel a pinch in your arm, and all the chaos calms…
Some time later, a single nurse in blue scrubs comes in to check your vitals. She asks you a few soft questions… How are you feeling? Can you move your limbs? Any pain? She jots down the answers on a small chart, though you can see her eyes shine with several more unasked questions…
Soon enough your bedside was surrounded by familiar faces. The faces you saw as wispy apparitions what felt like mere moments, or years, ago, they were here now, by your bedside, smiling, crying, laughing, pouting...
They were here now, living, breathing. Realer than real.
You were safe.
Welcome to Hope’s Peak General Hospital!

The Dream Collapses | Final Chapter
The shadows around the temple started to waver. The ground shook. Bits of stone crumpled and started to fall from the ceiling.
The stands started to crack and splinter.
The torches started to flicker and dim.
“U-Uh-oh... This place is starting to-”
“Indeed. It’s time to leave.”
The sigil was flickering, pulsing gently in its darkness. Despite that, though, it seemed to be emitting faint specks of light. Flittering up, and vanishing into the air. Stepping onto the sigil, the tall man reached into his pocket and produced a small, white nail. You couldn’t see it too clearly, but it appeared to have fine markings on it. With a swift gesture, he knelt down and stuck the sigil with it.
The sigil erupted in a flash of light, the darkness contained within withering away. When your vision cleared, there was a pillar of light in its place, shimmering brightly.
“There. This will take you out of this dream.”
“It’s time, then. Please... Step into the light.”
The small girl stepped onto the sigil, standing next to the tall man, waiting for you to join them. As you hesitantly made your way onto the sigil, you looked over at the crumbling temple wall.
There she was, watching you.
How was she still breathing?
“What are you waiting for? Go! There’s nothing left for you here.”
You wait for a moment, unsure.
“Don’t... Don’t worry about me. It’s my place to go down with this sinking ship. It’s only right it ends this way. It’s only fair I go down... with them.”
She closes her eyes, faint smile still on her face.
At peace.
The light grew, shimmered, beckoned.
And you stepped into it.
Your vision was consumed by light...
You felt a warmth wash over you. There was no more up or down, just the light caressing you, gently carrying you. You relaxed, letting it take you. Your body felt lighter, and yet lighter still.
As your thoughts faded into the light, you heard her final words...
“Show me you were worth believing in.”
And with that, you drifted...
a w a y...

Dawn of the Final Day: 3 Minutes Remaining | FINAL EXECUTION
Taguchi Aritomo has been found guilty of creating the dream.
Preparing a appropriate punishment.
[Shadow is coming too, whether he likes it or not]
[MUSIC]
The shadowy hands that wrapped around Taguchi were cold. He kept his eyes closed as he and Shadow were both being pulled down into the ground. This is it. This is the end. The end of the dream. The end of the killings. The end of… him.
As the cold grasp of the shadow hands slowly begin to release themselves from the two boys Taguchi opens his eyes. The two are back at the steps of Yumenushi School For The Damned. At first glance everything seems peaceful and normal. Taguchi looks around for anything that can be used to kill or torture him. He is expecting fires, explosions, twisters, something! But, there was none of that. None that he could see from where he stands. With confusion all over his face he turns to Shadow, who seems to be staring up at the sky.
“Ah…” He speaks as he looks up to the blood red sky.
Dawn of the Final Day: 3 Minutes Remaining
The moon seems to have taken a new look. Or at least now Taguchi notices the moon looks like… that. Hollow eyes, a creepy mouth with lines of teeth, and it’s slowly plumbiting to the earth. Of course Taguchi instantly recognizes this as the moon from Majora’s Mask. What a fitting punishment to end a video game designer’s life.
“If those two were fucking there, none of this would be fucking happening…” Shadow mutters.
It seems like they won’t die any time soon. Death looms over the two but neither of them really reacts to it. Shadow is annoyed that he didn’t get his way and Taguchi is content with this being the end.
Two minutes remaining.
A voice rings in his head. Two minutes remaining? He doesn’t need to ask what the strange voice is telling him. He knows. Two minutes until the moon crashes onto them. Two minutes until his death.
But that didn’t bother him.
He moves away from the view of the moon and takes a seat on one of the steps. Thinking back on all the events that happened, in the end, this was a good ending, right? Taguchi gets what he deserves, Shadow is dead, and everyone can return home with no problem, right? Taguchi can’t help but to think about all the friends he made in this game. If they weren’t put here with him, they wouldn’t be his friends, right?
Then he thinks about old Taguchi and the events that happened during Hope’s Peak Academy. The old him did all of this due to all of the events. So why did he target everyone in his class? Wouldn’t the only target have been Leslie? And his hands… if he wakes up he has to face the reality that he can’t use his hands. He looks down to look at them. Not being able to draw or program or play video games will suck.
But once he can use his hands again it will all be worth it.
All the drawings he can draw, all the games he can both play and make… it will suck for awhile but there is hope. And his friends. Even if they weren’t his friends in the beginning they are all here for him now. This isn’t the end, this is only the beginning of his new life. He’ll be given a second chance, right?
One minute remaining.
The voice in his head speaks again. He blinks out of his state of mind, only realizing that he has been crying that entire time.
“Pussy.” Shadow’s voice comes from behind Taguchi. When did he get there? He doesn’t respond to him.
Though something comes into his mind again, aren’t people watching him? His friends that are still alive in the trial room, they are probably watching him think and start crying. Probably thinking that he is upset that he is about to die.
Thirty seconds remaining.
The moon continues it’s decent onto the land. The wind begins to pick up and the world begins to get hotter. Taguchi shouldn’t go like this. He shouldn’t be crying or look like he is sad. Let’s give them all a final goodbye.
“H-Hey everyone,” He says with a smile forming on his face “I’ll s-see you all when we wake u-up, alright?”
Fifteen seconds remaining.
This is the end. Taguchi looks to the moon. It’s so close, it’s almost like he can touch it.
Ten seconds.
Closer it comes.
Nine.
Closer.
Eight.
Almost there.
Seven.
So close he can almost touch it.
Six.
Taguchi reaches out his hand to the sky.
Five.
‘Let’s try to touch the moon.’ He thought. It will probably be the last thing he feels.
Four.
He can feel the nose of the moon with his hand. It is so smooth.
Three.
The moon is now on his body, quickly crushing him.
Two.
“It… hurts…”
One.
The moon landed right on top of Taguchi.
Right when the moon hits the surface of the room the trial room shakes violently. On the screen before you there is just static.
Taguchi Aritomo and Shadow have been executed.

♪ That way I can see the sun and the stars again ♫ | Yukina | Final Farewell
Things happened to go a lot faster than the brunette’s ghost had intended. In fact, reactions were quite emotional during this time. Yukina had to do a double take at first, to see who else had showed up. Even Lynn and Seijin were amongst the group of apparitions such as herself, which she found to be kind of odd. Of course, the latter had nothing really useful to contribute as always. Oh, Yuki. When will you ever learn? The reactions that were full of shock and some of awe were ones that the girl in pink was half-expecting. After all, everyone did see their dead bodies, one by one.
The fact that she was able to inspire those around her to have a little faith, at least a little bit, gave her a sense of relief and accomplishment. A smile dawned upon her face once again, as Izumi gave their thanks to her. Really, they didn’t have to do that - they were the one to inspire her to be strong, after all. Her smile widens as they go over to Taguchi, trying their best to console him and offer alternatives. Then, as she heard the Babysitter speak up, she turns her head to him. At first, when he mentioned her making him emotionally weak, she reached out her hand. “Oh god, I’m sor-”
Alas, Suguru continued, and at that point, Yukina was left in a bit of a shock. She felt some kind of blush rise against her cheeks at that moment; why does this always happen whenever she gets complimented? Her eyes divert for a moment, and she starts fiddling with her braid in the process. “A-Ah, geez…I-I didn’t know I had that much of an effect on you, though…I’m, I’m really sorry that you went through a lot, and-” Finally, it registered in her mind that he implied that Izumi and Yukina were a couple. Her face turned a scarlet, and she turned away again with a shaky smile. She always did get embarrassed after all, huh?
As for everything else, she had witnessed the votes tally up in a heartbeat. Everyone voted for Taguchi in the end, and with that, the dream was no longer in his control, or in Shadow’s for that matter. At that moment, she let out a sigh of relief. They did it, after all…They were able to end this madness; they were all going to escape the nightmare; soon they would be set free. Of course, the one with the memories started screaming, and by instinct she covered her ears, tensing up. She always hated when people were loud like this, she hated…then, in an instant, it almost seemed to stop to a halt. She turned the other way, and Chieko was alive, grabbing at his ankle. She was alive? So, this really did mean that Shadow was no longer in control. This meant her friends can all finally go home.
They can finally go home.
Taking a deep breath, she faces the rest of her classmates. “…Re, regardless of what happens next, I know that things will be better from here on out! I just know it! And…I think you guys might too, ahah…” She shifts her gaze, holding onto the end of her braid. “Things can, and will only go up from here, from what we’ve been through. Whether it be before the killing game, or during it…what comes after is g..going to be better: You’re gonna be okay. We’re all gonna be okay. I don’t know if I can promise that things will be perfect from here on out…but, whatever comes next, we’ll all be here. So, please smile, okay?” With a friendly little wave, she shines a bright smile, one last time…
“I’ll see you soon, everyone!”

One Last Goodbye/ Izumi/ Post Execution / Att: Everyone
The trial was coming to an end, Izumi’s heart tightened as the chimes echoed through the temple to remind them that the end was near. It was a bittersweet moment for them as they knew what was to come.
A nervous stare was sent towards Taguchi’s and Shadow’s directions. Must they still go through an execusion? Can it be a quick and painless one? Please don’t let anyone stay behind in this cursed island. These and many more comments made their way in and out of their head when the unexpected happened.
“C-Chieko?!…B-but… how??”
Should they even be surprised after everything that’s happened? Probably not, nevertheless, they felt both shocked and conflicted at the sight of a living Chieko. There was so much they wanted to say to her, but instead, they held back as they watched Shadow being restrained. Was she really on their side?
The glowing coming from the sigil was another reminder that this was it…there’ll be no turning back from now. The results of their gamble will show up, they’ll either escape this place, or die trapped on this island forever.
Taguchi’s words took part of their worries away, making more tears to fall down Izumi’s face as he said his goodbyes. They needed to be strong, they made up their mind, this is what he wanted right? They shouldn’t cry, not when it could be the last time they might see him, and everyone else. Wiping their tears off of their face, Izumi mustered the strength to smile brightly at the shorter boy.
Lynn’s words managed to get a chuckle out of them. They were harsh comments but they could sense an underlined kindness in them.
“Lynn’s right! You won’t be alone anymore! So I hope we can become the ones you can rely on from now onwards! … … … … Um… … … J-Just know that, whatever happens…I’m glad I met you…I…”
The archeologist let out another nervous chuckle as they scratched the back of their head.
“Sorry, I feel like I might repeat myself if I keep this up, so I’ll make it short! I don’t hold anything against you either so…um…I guess…Like you said, I’ll s-see ya around?…Yeah! That feels right! We’re friends! So we’ll definitely see each other again so… See ya soon Taguchi!”
Izumi grinned widely followed by a soft wave as they finished their farewell message to their friend. Though the moment their arm was lowered, Izumi quickly hid them behind their back to keep the others from seeing the shakiness in them. They won’t be showing sadness, or worries this time around.
They glanced at their friends, old and new, with a smile a warm feeling in their chest. They might’ve suffered while they were here, but in the end, they’ve gained much more than what they could ever hoped to gain. To those they weren’t close to…well, that just meant they’ll have even more people they can get to know!
“I’ll also see the rest of you again!”
It was difficult not to repeat themselves. Words alone would never be able to express how much they appreciated the friends they made here. They’ll have to continuously show it through their actions! But at least, they’ll always have someone by their side.
With these thoughts in their mind, they were ready to face whatever was to come, the last execusion…and the unknown that was their future.

Plaudite! || Lynn || Goodbyes
Holy fuck why the fuck is the blonde sister bleeding. How long has she been there. And what did the circus bitch mean by Seijin killing Atsuko. The fuck is going on. Can she go home now. Oh. Oh, shit's glowing. So she can probably go home soon, huh? This will be the last time she's in this fucking room... Good riddance. She exhales a sigh of relief.

About fucking time... What'd I tell ya? See how much just a little bit of kindness matters? That's why I try to be nice every day.
Shut up, Lynn.
Well. Even after this is over, we'll be stuck with each other for a while. Especially if any of y'all are planning to still go to school. So, right. See you soon, Taguchi. And talk to somebody every once in a while, alright? Everybody's got some sorta shit going down, and they don't manifest a homicidal emo kid offshoot. Nobody will help if you don't ask them. Lucky, you've got people who'll listen.
Smiling sweetly,
That's your last warning, you got it? I don't want you or any other of these fuckers here to ever drag me into something like this again. Or there will be hell to pay. I swear, I'm at the limit of my niceties already. It's taking all my mental fortitude not to blow up at you.
But, well. There's nothing to do but to let it go. As long as we all survive this, that's what really matters in the end. I hate you. But it's not like you can sell your soul again, eh. If you don't want to hurt others anymore, and if we weren't even really "hurt" in the first place... Yeah. Let's put this whole game behind us.
... Right, Rei? Reiichi?

Say Your Prayers, Little One | Final Chapter | PUNISHMENT TIME
A chime rings out in the temple.
The sigil starts to glow.
“It seems our time here is running low. Judgement nears.”
Another chime rings out, deeper. Darkness pulses.
“What... should I do...?”
“If... If you will it, it will take him, too.”
“THE HELL YOU ARE! I WON’T LET YOU! I! AM! IN! CONTROL!”
Shadow pushed himself towards the edge of the stage, making to jump off. But before he could...
A hand grabbed him by the ankle.
“You’re too late, fiend.”
“W-What? HOW?!”
Chieko, slumped against the front of the stage, had grabbed him by the ankle. Her shirt was still stained with blood, and her movements were slow, sure, but she still had a tight grip.
“This temple... Has heard their will. You are no longer in control.”
Shadow writhed, trying to escape, but her grip was solid.
“C-Chieko!”
She turned to look his way, simply nodding in approval. In that moment, he landed a kick that sent her tumbling back to the ground. But Taguchi gritted his teeth. And as they predicted, a shadowy tendril grabbed Shadow before he could move any further.
“Good.”
“But that means it’s time, right?”
“.....It’s okay. I’m ready.”
“Everyone... Thank you. For everything... I’ll see you soon.”

Dreams/ Izumi/ Trial 5.12/ Reaction post and a short reply to Suguru./ Att: everyone Re: Suguru
Izumi watched awestruck as the rest of their classmates made their last votes. They were most surprised by Suguru.
Hearing him speak with Yukina in such a way was heartwarming, they couldn’t agree with him more about the way he complimented the vocalist. She truly was a ray of sunshine. When Suguru said he was somewhat jealous of their relationship with Yukina, Izumi blushed and their mouth quivered nervously. There’s no way anyone could replace Suguru, the same way that nobody could replace the person they cared about. Though perhaps…he already knew that. They couldn’t help but feel a warm feeling in their heart as they continue to listen to his words. He’d changed soo much, to the point where he was being nice to even Seijin! Izumi smiled at him, they have a lot to learn from Suguru.
The archeologist shed tears of joy as they continue to listen to the babysitter’s words, nodding along in response. Their past self would’ve instantly questioned his kindness, wondering if they were worthy of such a thing, always stuck in their sins. However, the Izumi now was also different and willing to forgive themselves for what they did. They had Yukina, Kazuko, Nikita, Leslie, and now Suguru to thank for!
They wiped the tears off of their face and gave Suguru a big thumbs up and a smile. It felt strange to simply accept such compliments, perhaps…it’ll take some time for them to get used to and fully believe in such words. For now, they’ll put their trust in their friends until they can believe in them on their own.
“T-Thank you Suguru! I… I’m…I’m glad you think that way about me… I also would like for us to become friends...a-and yes! I would like to be there to support you and everyone here who has shown me kindness! I… I probably would have remained stuck, living in my own nightmare if it weren’t for you. I…I’m very grateful for that! I promise I’ll do whatever I can not to let you all down...for the rest of you...I...I hope we can get along outside of this place! I also want to change and be better than I was before!"
As the results of their voting were announced Izumi placed their hand on their chest and squeezed tightly at it. There was a long sigh, they all voted for Taguchi…and now, there was nothing they could do, except to wait for the final outcome. Even after seeing the strangers’ reactions to the results, along with Shadow’s anger…Izumi’s anxious heart still had doubts about what was to come. Would they be able to see Taguchi again after this? Would everyone remember what happened here, the promises that were made, their friendships, and what they did in the past? There was no way to now.
Izumi glanced at their friends one more time to calm their heart. For a moment, watching Mitsue attempting to land a punch on Seijin was satisfying to say the least. The shock was enough to briefly remove their worries away as a light chuckle escaped their lips. Yes…things needed to be alright. They’ll do their best, along with the rest of their friends! They’ll go on an adventure with Nikita, have a fun reunion with Leslie’s and their family, give Kazuko a grand tour of their hometown, explore the oceans with Wakaru, have more fun adventures with Yuki-chan… train with Takashi, get to know more about Suguru, and the rest of their classmates…perhaps…they could introduce him to them. The list went on and on but, most of all, they wanted to be there for them to support them with everything they’ve got, especially Taguchi.

Ghost Busters!|| Mitsue|| Re: Garbage Man Seijin
Mitsue felt a smile on her face, her expression softening. Everything was great. Everyone would be alright. It was all over. Well, except for a little unfinished business regarding a certain someone. She sighed, still smiling. "Ignore me for a second, y'know don't wanna interupt this tender moment and stuff." She then turned and walked past Leslie's podium to Seijins.
Once they were out of here, she'd let everything he'd done in the dream stay in the dream. No more bickering with him over that stuff. As for things he'd do out of the dream... well she'd deal with that as it happened.
"Just so y'know, when we all wake up or whatever I'm gonna try my best to to be civil with you okay? So don't be a dick to me or anyone else and we can just leave it all behind, let bygones be bygones. But while we're still here," She said and struck this very pose
"This is for killing Atsuko and trying to kill Taguchi you stupid fuck!"
She swung back her fist and hit Seijin in the face. Or at least tried to, he was an apparition after all. Who knows if it made an impact? I guess we'll find out.

The End of The Dream [Taguchi/Shadow/Trial 5.12] Re: All
Music
The dead people coming back to speak was both a shock to Taguchi and Shadow, Neither expected this.
There was a bit of a bitter-sweetness to it all. There is so much support for Taguchi, to him it feels like a little too much, but through out all of that support there were people who weren't as happy. Reiichi was the one that hurt him the most, but he understands where he came from. The most surprising one was from both Lynn and Sora. Lynn for... well, wasn't she a horrible person? He guesses that, deep down, she might have cared for all of them? And Sora. He thought she would rip him a new one but, to his surprise, she didn't. He isn't sure if he is glad or not.
Rei comes up and gives him support. Even if he didn't knew them that well, he was grateful for it. And Shuga-chann... that was something. Even Seijin was there, and wasn't that much of an asshole!
The look of shock continues as all survivors start reacting to it all.
First was Izumi. Tears start forming in his eyes as they speak. He couldn't speak back, all he did was nodded and smile. These were all great ideas. Maybe he can use some of them when he gets back home... or if he gets back home. Nothing is certain as of yet. Once the hug was offered he immediately took it. It was the biggest hug he can manage.
Suguru didn't offer much in terms of speaking to him personally, but he is happy that Izumi and him can possibly be friends now.
Mitsue then spoke. The tears just keep on coming. He tries to wipe them away with his robe, but fails. Mitsue... there is so many words he wants to say but he can't right now. Fighting back the tears in his eyes he nods along to what Mitsue is saying. She'll be at his side? Taguchi didn't expect anything less from her.
Leslie was the next to say something. Leslie... she was the reason his hands were all messed up, right? He hasn't exactly thought of what would happen after he got out, adjusting to his hands will be a challenge, but in the long run he forgives Leslie. The Leslie now seems different than the Leslie the came before. "O-Of c-c-course...!" He manages to say through his sobs.
Nikita. He and Nikita haven't been friends for long, but he does enjoy their company. He gives them two thumbs up. Yeah, he wants to continue to be friends with them.
Finally Kazuko speaks. They were off to a rocky start in the beginning, but now it feels like they can really become friends. VIP tickets to all of her shows? He will not miss any of them! He gives Kazuko a bright smile in between all of these tears.
The voting has ended, and the results are in.
They all voted for Taguchi, and he couldn't be any happier.
Trying to calm himself down he wipes the tears on his sleeve. They are all probably waiting for him to say something. "I-I.. d-don't k-k-know what t-to say..." There are sniffles through him. "T-Thank y-you e-e-everyone..." It's such a weird thing to say moments before his possible death... He hasn't even thought about that yet.
He is starting to calm down. Deep breaths. "I-I'm sorry f-for everything... The game... t-the deaths... a-and even for S-Shadow." His eyes look up to Shadow. "I-I know that y-you all want t-to help me o-once we g-get out... a-and I-I am so g-grateful for it. A-After e-everything t-the old T-Taguchi and I-I d-did... I-I cannot be h-happier..." It's odd that a game bent on people killing each other could bring him closer to so many people. He doesn't deserve this. Any of this happiness he doesn't deserve, and deep down he knows that. But, just for a second, let him give everyone one last smile.
"I-I promise, o-once we all get o-out of here, I-I will m-make things right."
"Ruined..." The voice on the other side of the trial room speaks. Shadow has hatred in his eyes. Pure hatred. "All of this... is ruined... Ha... ha... hahahaha... HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Howls of laughter echos through the trial room. "I can't FUCKING believe this... Two idiots show up and ruin things... RUIN MY PLAN! And now... holy shit... this is like a bad fucking dream, you know? Fuck... FUCKING HELL!"
He directs his anger towards the Tall-san and Small-chan. "WHAT TYPE OF PERSON BURSTS INTO HERE, INTERRUPTS THE TRIAL, AND HAS EVERYONE VOTE FOR THE PERSON IN WHO CONTROLS THIS DREAM!? ASSHOLES! THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO DO THIS!"
Shadow grabs onto his hair and begins pulling on it. "NO, NO, NO, NO! I AM NOT JUST GOING TO NOT EXIST ANYMORE! NEVER! NO! NOOO!" He screams with all of his might.
