of course, at the end of the day, jester is a TTRPG character by laura bailey who played her the way she wanted to to enjoy her game.

but if i was writing jester, there would have been no doubt or contention that caleb would have been her endgame. because the crux of jester's character is someone who just wanted to be seen. and there was no one else who saw her more clearly than caleb widogast.

that is not even to say that the conflict of caleb's character is to see a life beyond his regrets, and how jester showed him that the darkness he carries should not preclude him from seeing the light.
