The funniest thing about York wanting to become a celestial dragon is that she kind of already is one? Like her entire purpose in life is to be gluttonous, lazy and take shits. I’m pretty sure that’s basically all the celestial dragons do on a day to day basis. Like what changes if she becomes a celestial dragon? The amount weird Nintendo bootlickers on YouTube is astonishing. ‘Piracy bad, if you want to play that 20-year-old Pokémon game you should buy the cartridge, and support the developers!’ Do these people actually think that Scalper McRipoff on eBay is sending royalties to game freak developers when you overpay for a Pokémon emerald cartridge or whatever?

In 2024 hyper realistic graphics are no longer impressive. You know what impresses me? A fully complete and functional game at launch

I don’t know you kind of already have the symbols on arena’s UI.

When I see a card NOT for the first time, but one I'm not experienced with yet, I skim to refresh my memory. So a card like Heirloom Epic I think "Right, it's '4t draw, but with convoke'". Except there's that crucial word way at the end: "sorcery". And if I don't keep reading through the convoke text that I already know, I miss it. This leads to misplays that feel very, very bad.

Sure, the text is there. But I can't be alone in that I mentally shortcut when I think I get it. (That's the premise of reminder text, after all.)

Given how frequent "sorcery speed" is, it would grok a lot better if a symbol (or other text decoration) indicated instant or sorcery speed at the beginning of the ability. It's not a lot of real estate, and you can still put "sorcery" in the text for new players who don't know the symbol yet. But it would sure aid experienced players with the bulk of cards we only kind-of know.

p.s. Is "activate only as a sorcery" even a good term anymore? Hypersonic Dragon et al. makes the whole phrase inaccurate.

A new symbol had a very high bar to clear.
