one of the oldest members of the clan, and certainly the most well-read. crow is blind, though her golden eyes are still bright- she reads via a convoluted scrying spell, which lets her see through every book, scroll, and artifact that calls the library home.

crow is massive for a sphynx. the library hosts a daily story time, swapping out readers every time, but the kids love crow the most. they snuggle up against her soft fur and enjoy her rumbling purr. she does the voices the best, too.

im not 100% happy with the color balance here but i cannot spend any more time on it i am so tired just believe me it looks really nice irl

hey yall been a while!!! mostly just bc my dash is dead

anyway new lore, new kiddos, gonna do a quick rundown of the most important players.

Overview: The Canopy is a treehouse village, single-handedly built by Vihaan while he was feral in the jungle. It’s become sort of a refuge for people in need, but the rule is that you need to prove yourself worthy before you can live in one of Vihaan’s creations.

Vihaan: chief/king/leader of the Canopy. i guess more like a beloved neighborhood watch captain. he spent years and years building empty homes and treehouses sort of by compulsion. he doesn’t remember anything from before Kyah found him, except for his name. considers Kyah his mother.

Kyah: found Vihaan feral in the jungle in a hand-built ghost town. Nursed him back to health and convinced him to open up his village to folks who need homes. she used to be an archivist in a research facility on the Focal Point.

Cheia: also an ex-archivist, he has been searching for ways to restore his mother’s library after it was burned to the ground. His burn wounds have been troubling him of late, so Jack convinced him to take a break and settle down for a while in the Canopy.

Jack: Cheia’s lover. Found him wandering the Arcane wastes, badly burned and sobbing about his mother. (i have nothing about Jack’s history yet sorry)

Aleksas: Good old Aleksas is a twice-failed Guardian. Their first Charge was their first clan, and after that one was destroyed in a war, they spent a long, long time with the Wardensreach as Guardian of the city and lover of the high prince. Again, everyone died. Aleksas considers themself a failure, a non-Guardian who only deserves to live so they can repent. They are starting to forget their precautions and falling in love with a new city (and a new woman).

Myles: A scholar specializing in Guardians, the Search instinct, and Charges. He convinced Aleksas to accompany him in his travel for a while. He told them he was an acolyte of the Lightweaver and could help bring Aleksas peace and atonement, but really he’s skeezy and is getting a free experiment.

Bieren: he and his husband Alda were taken by the Cult of Restitution (you assholes thought i’d given up, huh), escaped to Wardensreach, then ran when the royal family were assassinated. In the confusion, the two were separated. Bieren came to the Canopy in search of Tawnseelin, a really good tracker he knew from back when.

Sheishe: Tailor, seamstress, and designer. She thinks she will be the one to heal Aleksas’s broken heart. (not much in the way of backstory yet sorry)

Because sleeves can’t be too big :) Inspired by Art Nouveau fashion, adjusted to own design. Made of ivory lace, decoated with laces, trims and clasps, on the sleeve hems lots of pale beige nude vintage lace ^^

Thicket, Buckle, and Shirron, my new coli team! They’re level 10 right now, and STILL struggling through the scorched forest OTL

Thicket is the prototype for a functional tank build I’m working on. I feel like it’ll be a really good build once she reaches the higher levels, but right now the team just doesn’t have the damage, since they also don’t have any eliminates.

This is her current build at level 10! I’m thinking about giving her contuse or something similar once I unlock the slots for it, and at least one ambush.

I use Guard on the dragon that has the least health, then anticipate. Her vitality and defense are high enough that she has like double the health of the rest of the party, so she successfully builds breath twice as fast for a clutch bit of damage, and she takes up to 2/3 of the party’s damage.
