just watched secret life of walter mitty (the 2013 ben stiller version.) mostly to distract myself because my wisdom teeth surgery is in like 12 hours. I really liked it!

Something something the joy of life can be found in the mundane as well as the spectacular and too much focus on one blinds you to the other…something something magical realism and the blending of worlds as a way to play with those ideas and expose that gap….

The romantic aspect did NOT hit for me, though. they did not give the love interest anything to make her seem like a real human woman.

when i get back from my wisdom teeth extraction and am no longer high as balls i will watch the 1947 Danny Kaye version.
