For anyone who isn't following the power struggle to be the heir of Disco Elysium...

We currently have three announced games (Project C4 [title pending], Hopetown, and XXX NIGHTSHIFT) that DEFINITELY aren't just Disco Elysium again with the serial numbers filed off and female protagonists (can't believe Disco Elysium is woke now, smh).

Speaking of protagonists, Darkmath Games just released a four page writeup on the protagonist of XXX NIGHTSHIFT and there's a ~100 word paragraph dedicated entirely to how hot she (and, by extension, her mother?) is underneath a header adorning every page featuring her in what appears to be underwear. (So it's not woke then? Is that how that works?)

Like they lampshade it on the fourth page but even still it's a ChoiceTM. So in other words game dev is going GREAT. Anyone ready to pay $60 for it? Or splurge for the $90 DELUXE edition?

i'll be honest, all the times i've seen this line before, i took it for granted and was like "well, kim acts impressed so that must be legitimately impressive." the kim copaganda got to me. but that means even the top 10% of RCM officers are barely solving 1 case per month. 10 cases in a year. my fucking god.

kim also states that taking on 2 cases per week is a lot. so lets say the average officer is taking on a case per week, or even one every other week. an average of 2-4 cases per month. so even the top 10% of RCM officers only have a solve rate of 1/2 to 1/4, or 50-25%.

that means.... 90% of RCM officers...... are solving less than 25% of their cases. enjoy my math ♥️

huge thing i love about kimharry is it's not even *completely* made up by the fandom or anything, there's just a lot of homo tension between them. a few characters in the game at certain points are even like 'you two seem kind of gay'. they seem like they genuinely just have big fat guy crushes on eachother and they either hardly even realize it [[mostly harry's case but probably kim a bit too]] and/or have to ignore whatever gushy crushy feelings they *have* noticed and remain professional because they're Work Partners Trying To Solve A Murder [[mostly kim's case]]

I know folks like the idea of Klaasje and Ruby running off together post-game, and tbh i can see that happening because it's clear Ruby gives 100% for almost nothing in return, but she deserves betttteerrrr

I only like Ruby x Klaasje post-game if it SUCKS. Klaasje immediately snubbing Ruby the moment a guy on the road shows her interest, falling back to Ruby when they move on again, Ruby falling for it ("falling for it" she knows. She knows it'll happen again) every time because who else can she trust except the only woman in the world who may be MORE fucked by life than her?

Klaasje throwing herself at these men because she DOES love Ruby, and that scares the shit out of her. And, hey, if she keeps fucking around and doing drugs then Ruby will get sick of her and leave at some point, right? (She won't)
