Hi Kao! Not the anon who asked about angst, but if you're up for it, could you do a character study-ish scenario? Reader is best friends with Mikage, and she's kind of like Izaya in that she's also smart, keeps to herself, and has some admirers. But she secretly only has eyes for Izaya... who just so happens to start dating Mikage, who herself for now is unaware of the reader's attraction.
Would Izaya pick up on this, and would he tell Mikage? Or would he find a more insidious way to mess with them? Would he have, aside from wanting to see her reaction, an ulterior motive for doing so--maybe he doesn't like the passing semblance? Maybe he wants to isolate her? And what would it take to rope Mikage into his schemes?
There was that saying that people say often, how birds of the same feather flock together. Quite frankly, she doesn't quite agree with that at all. Maybe it's more like magnetism, opposites attract and negatives repel. When she had first met Izaya something about him unsettled her in a way that she'd never felt before. Not that he'd done anything to warrant such a reaction, but she thinks that maybe it was sort of a sixth sense. Something about him was so familiar and if she thought about it too much, looking at Izaya felt like she was looking at a reflection of herself.
It was creepy.
The gentle smile he offers to strangers looks so authentic that sometimes she feels like it is, but she can see that it never really reaches his eyes. Not that his eyes held distaste for whatever situation he was in, it was usually filled with child-like mirth, an excitement that never seemed to die out no matter what happened. Something about him made him mature but childish all at once; maybe she found that almost charming.
She didn't like to be in the same room with him. Not any longer than she had to anyway. If she could read him better than most people, then surely he could do the same to her. If she made eyecontact she couldn't look away for fear of him thinking that she's flustered by him, but if she continued to let him look her in the eyes, into the windows of her soul, he might find something there to use against her---
Mikage always seems to arrive at just the right time. It gives her a reason to look away. "Hey, we've been waiting for you," she greets her best friend with a nod.
"Sorry about that, I ran into some complications," Mikage replies with a shrug before giving her best friend a friendly pat on the shoulder. "Anyways, I've done my part of the plan, so what's next?"
Izaya beckons Mikage over with a wave of his hand. Though Mikage rolls her eyes at the action, she still comes closer anyway and even gifts her new boyfriend with a kiss to the top of his head. Izaya seems more pleased than usual from the show of affection, but it's probably because they have an audience and perhaps the most important audience member they could have. "For now we lay in wait and be patient," he tells her with a smile so gentle it almost feels real.
She tries not to let her eyes linger too long on their exchange. She hopes Izaya doesn't catch the way her eyes narrow in irritation.
But he does see it, and she knows it, judging by the way his smile changes just a little bit. The way his eyes crinkle slightly and how his nose scrunches up a little bit like he's discovered a little secret. It looks unfairly cute on him. "Hey, you."
"I have a name you know," she replies back, trying to sound nonchalant. She even shakes her head in disappointment. "Did you forget already? We see each other almost every day…" she jokes.
"Mmmmm, let me think," Izaya holds his chin between his fingers in thought, tilts his head to the side so that it bumps against Mikage's in an affectionate way. "I can't seem to recall… Was it Thai Fusion?"
Mikage snorts at that, leaning more into Izaya's body now that he was so close anyway. "Are we all listed as food in your contacts?"
"It's to keep you safe, my dear," Izaya tells her with that smile meant only for her.
She seethes silently at the lovey-dovey atmosphere around her two companions. There are two feelings boiling within her now. Mikage was her best friend, and she didn't exactly like that her best friend's attention had to be divided between her and Izaya. And loathe she is to admit it, she liked Izaya and it was really unfair. How he had roped in her heart the way he did was confusing to say the least. She's never liked anyone before, and usually she knew how to play with people's hearts to have them on their knees for her.
"I just remembered something," Mikage's best friend says suddenly, just before Mikage and Izaya could get any closer to each other. It was making her skin crawl. "I have to go buy some things. Do you guys want anything?"
"Pass, but thanks," Mikage says.
"If its not too much trouble, maybe Thai Fusion does sound good right about now," Izaya suggests.
She wonders if his words have a double meaning. Surely it must. The tone is teasing, and his grin is playful. Her heart races a little bit at all the possible meanings but she manages to keep her smile pretty normal. "I'll see what I can do."
As she leaves, Mikage smiles fondly at her best friend. There was just something about her that made her so likeable. "You know," she starts, turning to Izaya. "You guys are pretty similar."
"That so?" Izaya asks. "I don't think I see the resemblance. I think I'm much more handsome than she is."
Mikage scoffs. "Are you jealous of her because I like her more?"
Izaya snorts at this while shaking his head. "The way you like me is different from the way you like her. So even if you like her more in that sense, you like me more in a different sense as well. There is no competition."
"You guys keep making yes or no questions more complicated than they have to be," Mikage flicks Izaya on the forehead, grinning widely when he pouts at her. "Blah blah blah, so much to say without ever saying what you mean to say."
From the window, Izaya sees her staring at them. He carefully drapes an arm around Mikage and pulls her closer. The way Mikage's best friend bristles brings a smile to his face. "You know me too well," he surrenders. He barely had to do anything to push her buttons, she made it too easy.

Simon having a younger customer/friend who comes in at lunch every day to greet him and give him a hug ;; ❤️
Simon was good at remembering faces. Sometimes he was good at remembering names if people gave him their names.
“Hey, Simon!” his (favorite) customer greeted. They came every day at the same exact time with the same exact smile on their face. Always happy and cheerful that sometimes Simon thinks he can see an aura of happiness around them. They came over, giving Simon a hug as they usually did. “What’s on the menu today?” Separating from the hug, the customer looks up at Simon’s towering frame with only warmth on their face.
“Same as always, only the best sushi in town!” Simon laughed, handing them a discount coupon. “This for you, just our little secret” he said with a wink.
They took the coupon with a mischievous grin.
Simon then gave more coupons to people passing by.
“Hey!!!” Simon’s favorite customer complained. “I thought this was our little secret!” they said, pointing to their coupon.
“Yes, is our secret,” Simon agreed with a heavy nod. He handed out another coupon. “And this is other secret, between me and this customer.”
The other passerby, a bit confused because they weren’t sure if they were being spoken to, took the free coupon anyway and thanked him.
“You betray me, Simon...” Simon’s favorite customer said despondently, dramatically putting a hand over their heart. “You wound me...!”
“Yes, yes,” Simon said with a laugh, putting a hand on his favorite customer’s shoulder to push them towards the restaurant’s entrance. “Please, accept apologies, in the form of sushi.”
They stuck their tongue out at Simon, but nonetheless entered the restaurant as instructed.

Can I be a total glutton and ask for either: headcanons of a reaction, or a scenario where Slon, Egor, Aka, and Shiki confront their s/o who had cheated on them?
Slon:
How strange it was to be betrayed; it wasn't something he was unfamiliar with, he's had a co-worker or two (or ten, he's lost count) who have sold him out (or at least tried to) and sure it had made him upset but that was part of the job. You never know who you can trust, even if you build camaraderie with them.
This was different. He didn't think it was possible for emotional ache to actually translate to physical pain, he thought that was all in the movies and romance books. He'll have to ask Vorona about that at a later date.
His lover (ex lover?) doesn't even know they've been found out. He's not sure how to confront them if he has to be honest about it. He doesn't understand why they would do that to him; he thought he'd been putting in the work to make them work. He thought his feelings were reciprocated.
He shakes his head to himself, a deep kind of sadness consuming him. How strange, how devastating, how confusing. Perhaps too many emotions all at once. "Maybe I need a professional opinion," he mutters to himself. He's pretty sure that's a thing that exists, professionals of love. If there are professional assassins, surely there must be professional love advisors. He wastes no time looking for and setting up an appointment with a professional. If Vorona were there with him to see what he was choosing to do, she would have thought him silly. Vorona usually was his impulse control anyway, and without her there to stop him, he calls this so called love professional and hopes for the best.
Egor:
He tries to will away his feelings. They are unnecessary to his career after all. He shouldn't have gotten into a relationship in the first place, in retrospect maybe he was delusional.
If Egor had any friends who understood how his mind worked, they would have told him that he was putting too much logic into something that dealt with the matter of the heart. They would have told him to consider talking to his partner to either formally end their relationship or if they were willing to put in the work, mend it. But Egor did not have friends. He only had people he was acquainted with, people he was relatively friendly with, but he didn't have any friends with whom he could discuss this with.
Egor has always been practical anyway, and perhaps he'd already overstayed his welcome in Japan. Leaving things behind without a trace was something that he was already used to. This time though, he supposes that it will be harder than it ever was.
Akabayashi:
The man across from Akabayashi felt the sweat drip down his back. It was supposed to be a simple exchange of information, and he's pretty sure he didn't do anything to warrant the man's wrath.
The man with the scar over his eye had a friendly smile but it definitely did not reach his eye. His hands furled and unfurled around his walking stick. If you listened closely, you could almost hear the crack of the cane's material splinted under his fingers. Whatever was ailing the man was making him seethe, anger barely controlled because he was still on the job.
Akabayashi took a deep breath. He tried to relax his posture, to look as relaxed as he usually did. It wasn't the man's fault that he was mad, in fact the man was very pleasant and the information he provided was complete. He had to end this conversation soon before he did something to someone that didn't deserve it. "Well, splendid work as always. You may leave."
The man squirmed a little bit and hesitated. Ultimately, he nodded and stood up. "Uh, please contact me again for--"
"Yes, of course," Akabayashi said with a nod. "Thank you, you take care now."
Akabayashi waited until the man was out of sight before leaving himself. He feels like his younger self again, struggling to keep his emotions in check. He should talk to his partner, but he doesn't think he's in the right headspace to have that conversation just yet. The anger is consuming him in a way that was familiar and it almost scares him how easy it is to slip into his violent tendencies.
Out of sight, in an alleyway where people wont see him. He punches the wall once, then twice, then again and again and again. He doesn't know how long he's been there, he doesn't register the pain in his fists until he's walking back to the Awakusu headquarters.
Aosaki greets him in one of the lounger rooms, raising an eyebrow at him when he sees the blood on his knuckles. "Did you kill someone?"
Akabayashi takes another deep breath, then shakes his head. "No, it's nothing." Akabayashi ignores the suspicious look Aozaki sends him. "Got a cig?"
Aozaki looked surprised this time, so surprised that the takes his cigarettes out of his pocket and offers one to Akabayashi. "Didn't know you smoked."
Akabayashi takes the lighter that Aozaki offers. "I don't."
"…heh," Aozaki just shakes his head, taking a cigarette as well. He and Akabayashi just sit together in an almost comfortable silence.
Shiki:
It was easy to compartmentalize his feelings. It's something that he always did anyway. No use in overthinking things. He is a busy man, he handles a lot of men, and he can't let them know of the inner turmoil that he feels. He's just glad that he found out himself, instead of having someone tell him. The rumor mill would go crazy if someone found out, and it wouldn't do any good for his men to doubt him.
He'd just have to talk to them. Straight to the point, as he usually dealt with most things in his life. He doesn't know if he could forgive this. He thinks excuses are just that, excuses. Still, he'd like to hear what they had to say anyway.

A scenario where Shinra suddenly turns lovestruck for Simon...? 8D
It must be some sort of weird spell, right? That had to be it. Celty doesn’t understand it otherwise. Shinra’s clingy-ness had been irritating for a while, but at some point it did become endearing to her. Coming home to an apartment that was Shinra-less gave her anxiety that she didn’t need.
Looking around the apartment, there didn’t seem to be any signs of struggle. Going back to the door, she inspected it and was pretty sure that their locks hadn’t been tampered with. But Shinra usually let her know if he left their home, and it was making Celty think about all the worst scenarios that could happen.
Though she doesn’t like it, the first person she thinks to ask is Izaya.
[ I need a favor... ] [[ Oh? What a rare treat! What do you want with little old me? ヽ(・∀・)ノ ]]
[ Drop the cutesy act, this is serious..! ]
[[ You think its cute! ヽ(o^▽^o)ノ]]
If Celty had eyes, she would be rolling them.
[ Do you know where Shinra is? ]
Celty doesn’t like that it takes a little longer to reply to this question.
[[ I’m not his keeper you know, that’s your job... (¬_¬;) ]] [[ But in any case, I do know where he is, but I’m afraid you’re probably not going to like it. ]]
Celty is about to type her reply, but she receives one more message before she can.
It is a series of pictures. The first one is outside of Russia Sushi, the next one is at the entrance, the one that follows is inside the restaurant. The next and last one, Celty isn’t sure what to make of it...
Its a picture of Shinra leaning over the sushi bar towards Simon with the most lovestruck expression on his face. Simon in the picture doesn’t seem to be bothered by it and is wearing the same happy expression that he always has.
Izaya sends her one more image. Its a selfie of himself, with Shinra and Simon in the background. This time, Shinra has bodily climbed over the sushi bar and has his arms wrapped around Simon’s midsection, cuddling him as if he were some sort of oversized teddy bear. Simon this time looks a little bit uncomfortable, his hands going down to Shinra’s armpits presumably to pick him up and put him back in his seat. Behind Simon, Celty shivers at the glare that Dennis is directing towards Shinra.
[ Keep him there. I’m on my way. ]
[[ Doesn’t seem like he wants to leave! But I’ll stay to see what happens ┬┴┬┴┤・ω・)ノ ]]
When Celty arrives at the scene of the crime, she has a hard time grasping the situation.
Simon looks at a loss, quite literally keeping Shinra at arms length as the doctor struggles to bridge the gap between them. Usually Russia Sushi is packed at this time of night but due to the current circumstance, they had to close shop early. Simon couldn’t work, and Shinra kept making weird outbursts of love and made people around them uncomfortable.
Dennis and Izaya are sitting across from each other at the sushi bar. Dennis looks more than unhappy, and Izaya is sipping a drink from a straw like a child so enthralled by what he’s watching.
[ What’s going on??!?? ] Celty types, holding her phone out to Simon for him to read.
“I do not understand either,” Simon says with a despondent shake of his head. “Thought he was showing appreciation. I also appreciate in kind. But I think this is too much...”
“Too much?” Shinra echoes in disbelief. “What do you mean, too much! I haven’t even showed you the poem I wrote!”
“When did you have time to write a poem?” Izaya asks from the bar, highly amused. He had never seen Shinra like this before, towards someone who wasn’t Celty.
Shinra grins, tapping the side of his temple. “It’s all up here. It’s a work in progress, but I think it would be three pages long by now!”
“That’s much to say, in very little time...” Simon comments. He looked very visibly uncomfortable. “Его голова витает в облаках, не так ли?” (His head is in the clouds, isn’t it?)
“Может быть, он действительно сумасшедший... Не то чтобы я думала, что тебя трудно любить, Самия.” (Maybe he is insane... Not that it’s hard to love you, Simon.) Dennis says with a shake of his head. He pours a shot of vodka for himself, then offers another glass to Izaya.
Izaya looks at the glass, then shrugs. He downs his glass at the same time as Dennis, as an act of solidarity. “Извините, но это нормально для Шинра.” (Sorry to say, but this is normal for Shinra).
[ I’m so sorry about this!! ] Celty shows to Simon. And, quick like she always is, with the side of her hand she hits the back of Shinra’s neck hard enough to knock him unconscious. The doctor goes limp in Simons arms.
“Oh, such relief...!” Simon says with the biggest sigh any of them had ever heard from him. “So strange of him to act in such a way!”
Celty nods her helmet, scooping up Shinra into her arms as if he weighed nothing. With one of her shadow tendrils holding her phone, she types her reply for Simon. [ I don’t know what could have gotten over him! ] She doesn’t mention that there was a pang of irritation in her heart. Shinra would get an earful from her when he was awake again.

There’s no real reason other than the fact that writing scenarios and doing match ups aren’t really fun anymore, which was this blog’s intended purpose anyway. Did this blog help in improving Kao’s writing? Well, maybe a little but not too much.
Kao’s not gonna delete this blog though! Just in case any of you want to go back and read previous posts or something. But the ask button is going to be permanently closed.
There are still many other drrr!scenario blogs out there so don’t fret ;) These guys are really talented writers so Kao’s sure they wont disappoint.

who do you think Kida would be most likely to accidentally call dad ? I can't remember a lot of dynamics with Kida besides Mikado tbh so I'm trying to remember if he sees any characters as sort of father figures?
Hmmm... Probably Kadota.
It seems like that Kadota is the only adult that Kida truly trusts, and the fact that Kadota was the one to fix his fuck up when Saki got her legs broken could lead him to (subconsciously) feeling that Kadota is like a father figure to him. After all, isn’t it normal for your parents or an adult you care and trust to fix the mistakes you can’t? And Kadota and his gang are constantly trying to help him out because they acknowledge that he’s a kid despite his maturity, yet at the same time they know he’s a force to be trifled with despite his young age.

May I request a matchup, please? I'm not sure how to begin but I guess I could describe myself as more logical and analytical than depending up emotions. For example; I'm the type of friend who, when confronted with a troubled individual, would rather come up with solutions around the problem than offer emotional support. It feels more useful. I'm usually quiet and reserved and while social situations can be hard for me, and making friends harder, I can be quite outgoing around people- (Sig: X)
Kadotes because he will dote on you like he does with all his friends: not in a suffocating way but in a way that helps you in your growth to be the best version of yourself.
While he absolutely adores your critical way of dealing with situations, he finds ways to coax you into expressing your raw emotions. But only when it’s just the two of you. Its a balance between logic and feeling so that when you find yourself in a stressful situation you can handle it better than most.
More than just his significant other, you’re also like his partner. He consults you when he needs insight and advice and vice versa. With most big decisions he will make, he’ll run them through you first before making a final decision.

Okay, this is the last from me but can u do one where masaomi gets turn into a kid and mistakes shizuo and vorona for his parents, sorry for asking u some many things
Shizuo was 100% sure that he’s never even been with a woman in such an intimate way, much less Vorona who didn’t even seem to show any interest in the world of flirtation and dating and possibly sex. So when a little boy, barely two inches taller than his knee, grabbed at his hand and demanded “upsies” he wasn’t sure how to react. He wasn’t sure either how to react when he started calling him “dad” and Vorona “mom.”
But Shizuo has a hard time saying no to kids and somehow upsies were had and the small young boy was sitting on his shoulders, hands curled into fists in his hair for support so he wouldn’t fall back. “I want ice cream,” he demanded, resting his chin atop of Shizuo’s head as he stared forward. “Then I can share with mommy.”
Despite how bizarre the situation was, Vorona didn’t even seem bothered by being called mom. “I do not want any.”
“Yes you do!” the boy argued. “We can all share!”
Vorona frowned slightly. “If you insist.”
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to,” Shizuo told her, patting the top of her head as he usually did. “I’ll share with him.”
The boy kicked his legs excitedly. It didn’t matter who he shared with, as long as he got ice cream in the end. “Lets go, lets go!”
At the end of the day, the young boy had fallen asleep on Shizuo’s shoulders. It was only when Tom reminded the two blonds that they didn’t have a child was when they remembered they didn’t even know the boy’s name.
