I’m sorry I didn’t see this before— (I don’t get notifications for asks for some reason...)

Edit: I swear Tumblr has the dumbest coding system ever— Anyway, I said that the discord is almost as dead as this blog is. The primary reason for both is because I cannot juggle all my life tasks and this blog. I try to reblog stuff at random, when I can so that we aren’t sitting ducks, but I can’t perform moderator tasks because I am not the original owner of this blog. As I stated below. I thought about possibly clearing out the ask box and reopening it brand new, or possibly reopening an imagine blog under myself, because I’m *always* on tumblr...but I don’t wanna abandon this one. It’s special to me because it’s the first ask blog I’ve ever been a part of XD.

The problem is I’m not the owner of this side blog so I can’t make important changes to it...I can however start a new discord if that’s something you’re all interested in.

uhhh what the fuck why would they do that????

tumblr is voiding canon urls, and going after people who have them, apparently. i use a monitoring tools to monitor graveyard urls that i’d like to save (it sends you an email when something changes on the webpage, for example when it gets deleted). i still had an old alert on the bucky url, which, i knew who had that saved as a sideblog - suddenly it got a ‘not found’ error but was unsaveable.

tumblr is once again punishing its active users. my sideblog barnes (my previous url) had the exact same thing happen. here’s the email i got:

let’s get one thing straight: i got this url, and barnes, fair and square. i asked for them, and they were given to me. i didn’t even trade or buy, which is against community guidelines. i broke no rules to get these urls, and now my two fav urls that i had and was planning on using literally forever (like, until i decided to leave the platform, at which point i was planning on simply giving them away to people who would actually use them), and now i’m blog294732.

Imagines/Headcanons! We do make fully original headcanons, but please send in your ideas and requests for scenarios or AUs and we’ll make imagines from them as well! Our askbox is rather empty at the moment, so please send requests. If a headcanon request inspires us enough, it might get upgraded to a fullly fledged fanfic! Tagged #headcanons.

Fanfics! Fics might take longer to finish than headcanons, but are longer (more content, yay!) and more detailed. If you want to request a fic, just say so in your ask. Fics will also be posted on our AO3 account if we make one, so stay tuned. Tagged #fanfic.

Incorrect quotes! We take a wide variety of inspiration for those, so feel free to send in some quotes from books, movies, or shows you think are in character for them. If you want a random incorrect quote, just send us a ✦! Tagged #incorrect kaimaki quotes.

Short comics! Mod Shuichi is still learning the finer points of digital art, so our comics will mostly be made using available sprites. Doesn’t mean they’re any less fun, though. Comic requests are also open, but available scenarios may be limited. Tagged #comic.

Character death and gore! If you want one of the lovebirds, or anyone else for that matter, to be dead you’re in the wrong place. In the same vein, we will not take requests featuring executions. Also, explicit gore is not allowed on this blog. There might be mentions of past injuries or abuse, but it will not be explicit.

Requests not involving Kaimaki! This is a Kaimaki shipping blog, and we will not abandon its purpose. Hence, any request not directly involving Kaito and Maki will be ignored. However, other ships the mods support may show up as ‘easter eggs’ in some of our content.

For those who don’t know, Hurricane Florence is barreling towards the East Coast right now, directly towards The Carolinas and Virginia. If it hits as a Category 4, it will be only the second Category 4 to hit in North Carolina history, the first being Hurricane Hazel in 1954. Needless to say, we aren’t prepared. As far inland as Raleigh, my hometown, could see up to a foot of rain and just shy of 100mph winds for several days. Some people have gotten out, but others, such as myself, cannot, and are having to ride this out on our own.

If you know anyone who lives in this area, or know someone with family in this area, call them, talk to them, see if they’re okay and if there is anything that you can do.

If you live in this area and cannot get out, stock up and hunker down. Personally, I’m going to be riding it out alone. My roommates are heading home, but I can’t, as the building I am in now is safer than at home, and my home is still in the path of this storm. My roommates are leaving me their food, water, and any supplies they have that I could use. Some people aren’t so lucky. Here’s some things to consider when preparing:

There’s already a shortage on gas, bottled water, bread, soup, etc. so go out TODAY and get what you can if you haven’t already.

Make sure you know the evacuation routes and have a bag packed. Pack medications, important documents, food and water, and anything else you will need.

If you stock up today, DO NOT BUY MILK OR EGGS. These items are refrigerated and will spoil if the power goes out, so go for non-perishable food. There are supposed to be widespread power outages over half the state, so keep this in mind when stocking up.

If you live on the first floor of a building like I do, try to get as much off the floor and up off the ground as possible. That way if water does get in, your personal belongings have a better chance of surviving. THIS INCLUDES POWER STRIPS!!!

If you are in an evacuation zone and have not gotten out yet, PLEASE TRY TO NOW. Even if you don’t know where to go, just come inland as much as you can. Shelters are already set to open here in the Triangle as soon as tomorrow, I believe, but the coast is the worst place to be. You need to get out while you can.

If you have a bathtub, clean it well and fill it with water tomorrow. This will give you another source of water even if you are unable to find any at the store.

MAKE PLANS FOR PETS! My dad is worried about our dogs because they hate storms and are older, and he has no clue what to do about their bathroom habits, so try to plan for this if you can!! Make sure they will have plenty of food and water for this storm, and take into account any anxieties they may have about the storm. Don’t leave them behind.

If you have a porch, deck, or patio, clear off and put away any furniture you have to minimize what the wind can pick up.

This isn’t a full list, I’m sure, but these are things that my family and I are thinking about. Just know that this is a serious storm, possibly the worst in Carolina history, and it will be deadly. Take every precaution you can.

Ugh, Mod Tojo here again to disappoint everyone. Well…not really… anyway, I’ve been busy as of late and my inactivity is a bit annoying. I’m getting back into a writing season again, so I will try to be more active. I’m not quite sure what happened to our other mods, but I’ll do my best to maintain what I can. First order of business is to clear out 50% of the ask box, then I will happily re-open it. If anyone has any concerns or questions, I’m available to answer. I have dedicated all day to write and actually play V3…yes, I am admitting to the fact that I haven’t finished the game yet, which is partially why I am having difficulty with finishing the prompts for some characters…that and Yugioh is distracting 😂. But cross my broomstick and hope to die for my country, I will get something done today.
