Debating on setting this guy (Fiddle) as my breeding male, or waiting until my Cocoa pup grows up…. 

The Cocoa looks very nice as a natural, but I do like Fiddle’s looks. I picked him up originally for my breeding male, but then had the Cocoa be born….. 

Eh. I suppose I could always retire him if I want when the Cocoa’s an adult.

Early Winter

“...What are you saying?” The words came out harsher, fiercer, than Calixte intended--but not all that much more. 

Warmth scuffled her paws nervously, but Sunblue, pressed against her side, looked straight at the pack leader. “We never intended to stay. Warmth only needed a decent place to raise our pups, and--we do thank you for that.”

Calixte’s lip lifted in a snarl. “And now when we most need you, you plan to go running off. You two are our best hunters! How we will survive winter?”

Sunblue tilted his head; Warmth glanced apologetically downwards. “It is not our problem. We are grateful for the home you have provided us, but it is time for us to move on.”

Tzara bristled, stepping protectively forward. “So you run with a pack when it is easy to keep your bellies full, but take off at the first snowfall?” She crouched, snarling, hackles raised. “You-you feckless creatures!” 

Calixte took a deep breath... She had never expected something like this. Yes, the pair had made it clear they only wanted a place to raise their pups in relative safety in numbers. But as summer came to an end, and the children grew, they’d never spoken of leaving again. Calixte... well, she’d thought--hoped--wrongly, apparently. 

“Then leave. Get out of my sight. If you choose to leave us without any hunters, so be it. We will find a way to survive. May the snow chill your bones, and the frostbite take your paws.”

LMAO just saw a new user in chat that practically has the same username as me--except since they’re new, they had to replace letters with numbers and whatnot.

Not exactly sure why it’s funny to me, but I snorted when I saw that. XD

Hmmm.... I’d definitely love to see a bit more.. depth?? is that the word I want? don’t think so but meh. But yeah I’d love to see more intricacies with diseases. Open wounds becoming infections should definitely be a thing, but based on rng and not like... a guarantee. I’d also love for open wounds to have the chance of curing on their own. 

It’d be really cool as well, if curing open wounds had a chance to give the wolf a scar decor. 

Also, I’m not sure if this is actual gameplay or not--but even if pups and pupsitters are in different caves, imo they should have a chance to pass diseases between each other. Cause if the pupsitter’s doing their job properly, they should be interacting a hell of a lot with the pups.

I want to hear y'all's opinions about disease. Should they make them appear less often? Should they make them harder to cure and more detrimental? Should they make it so diseases can mutate (ex. Open Wounds can become Infections if not treated)?

Wolvember Day Five: Scouting

This entry was inspired by a conversation I had with @bone-wolves about a pup they traded me! We decided our scouts, Rover and Pietro, could have met to kick off the trade. This is Rover’s account of that meeting– but she’s got no issues with lying to tell a good story. Assume that pretty much anything she says abt Pietro and the Rowan’s Shade Pack are at the very least extremely exaggerated, if not completely untrue lol

Now on w/ the show!

“And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the ground underfoot– oh, even the ground was trying to eat me alive!”

Rover swivels to meet the each of the pups’ eyes in turn.

Dane is staring, eyes wide as saucers; his sister, Setter, feigns disinterest, but her ears are swiveled in Rover’s direction, straining to hear. Little Perch has her paws over her nose, peeking up only once in a while. 

And Finch– Finch looks as unimpressed as always.  “It was a swamp,” he says. “There was mud.”
