i really do hate the talking point that 'normal people invaded fandom in 2020 so now everyone is hypersensitive to normal fan things that have been around forever' because it is not evidence based at all. purely vibes. and also i swear half of the arguments its made against are like things that i was reading people say on tumblr a decade ago. not to mention that one person says something and it gets circulated so quickly because of a combination of twitter and tiktok.
