Help me fund my incoming school expenses!
Hello, studyblr community! I’ve been with all of you guys ever since I was a 10th grade student and I can’t believe that I’m still here posting now that I’m an upcoming 2nd year college student majoring in Psychology!
If you’ve been with me ever since, you guys would know that I’ve been a scholar all throughout my high school career, but unfortunately now that I’m in uni I wasn’t able to pass the scholarship applications.
My family is trying very hard to fund my tuition to which I’m very thankful for, but with the pandemic and all, it has become pretty difficult for them. The fact that my uni didn’t lower down the tuition for this semester that will be held online makes it even harder. With this, I decided to help them in other school expenses the best that I can and sell some of PowerPoint Templates!
Easily PowerPoint Template - Free! or any amount you can offer :)
Grayscale PowerPoint Template & Flow of Nature PowerPoint Template - 3$ - 5$, depending if you want it as a bundle or not :)
I’ve enjoyed designing my own slides even before, and I figured that this could be a good way not just to help with my school expenses, but also for anyone who does presentations a lot!
I’m selling these design bundles for 5$ (roughly 250 pesos)! For individual versions, you can get them for 3$ (150 pesos) each color :) The first template above you can get it for free or put whatever amount you can! Any help is appreciated, so thank you!
If you can’t help by buying, it’s completely okay! A reblog would be just fine 🥰
Here is the link to my shop: https://gumroad.com/acadstuds
Thank you!

my first ever year in uni is done! to commemorate, I’ve wanted to share how I experienced college and how I coped through it, with the stress and all. although with the current times, some of these may not be relevant as of the moment since most have transitioned to online classes, though when the time comes and we can all do onsite classes once again, I hope this would help you guys in some way! 😊 this is typewritten in laps lock btw sorry hihi
(note that I said ‘kinda’ since these are all just personal opinions and obviously, we all have different experiences hehe but nonetheless I hope this is helpful ily all <3 also, I put related links in some parts so that you guys can check it out if you want!)
what to expect in uni?
adjustment period. this is inevitable. the length varies to each person, however. some may instantly click within just a day, but others it may take weeks. hey, it’s okay. don’t beat yourself up for it. it takes time! you’ll learn to be comfortable with your surroundings in time.
adapting to new surroundings. like I said, this varies. but personally, it would be great it if you become familiar with places around your uni and all the hidden treasures it has for you within your first few weeks. this will make it easier for you to find a place you can call your own nook, where you can feel comfortable staying while studying, like a hole-in-the-wall cafe or study hub. this helps give you a sense of constancy, having a place that you can always go to.
feeling like an outsider. it happens. being a freshman obviously means that you don’t know anything that happens within the campus. the traditions are all new to you and don’t be embarrassed if you’re not aware of it beforehand. heck, most of them doing it probably don’t even know them when they were freshmen either. soon, you’ll come to learn about it, and it may even become part of your traditions as well!

Stop 1.5 - Toledo Spread + Travel Trivia 💭✨(from listening to too many audioguides)
I don’t think this is regarded as fact, but it’s a pretty interesting story nonetheless.
The engineer responsible for the construction of Puente de San Martin realized that he had gravely miscalculated the weight that the bridge could bear. After confiding in his wife, she set fire to the beams of the bridge during a heavy thunderstorm, so no one thought too much of it the day after. The engineer was saved from total humiliation and got another chance to build the bridge with the correct calculations.
Now if that’s not true love, I’m not sure what is.

Halo!
I am Alyanna a.k.a. *drynotes, a 22 year old graphic artist / illustrator from Manila! I graduated from university last year and I studied Advertising Arts which is a major under Fine Arts and Design and this means you'll mostly see posts about art from me! Also, I’m currently studying German (and soon Spanish) all on my own, and while doing that, I decided to review and freshen up most of my notes from college since I am also planning on attending grad school soon!
*i came up with my username while i was cleaning some of my college stuffs a few weeks ago and i noticed that all of my notes (which were filled with watercolor & acrylic paint) have dried up hehe • if you have any questions about art, or want some job interview tips, or maybe how art school works, my ask is always open! ♡

15 things I tell myself when I don't want to work/study
1. You are very lucky and privileged to have access to almost unlimited knowledge and you should appreciate that.
2. Be one of those rare people who step over their insecurities and succeed.
3. Only 5 minutes. Only today. (Repeat it 5 minutes later and every day).
4. You will know what to do as soon as you start. Ideas never appear from inactivity.
5. Make yourself proud.
6. One hour every day doesn’t feel much but it’s 365 hours a year. You can’t not succeed after so much work.
7. It’s not supposed to be easy. Nothing good is easy.
8. If you had a child to look after, you’d make them study because you want them to accomplish something. Don’t you love yourself?
9. “Everything you want is on the other side of fear” George Adair
10. Every mistake increases our chance to make progress.
11. If you give up now, you’ll have to return to this later anyway but from the very beginning.
12. Let the process be your result.
13. Every moment you thought your fears would suppress you has become the time you made it.
14. Maybe you think you can never find something to use your skills and mindset for. But if you continue investing in what matters to you, it will find its way out there.
15. I allow you to think globally. You have a right to the boldest dream.

week four and im 100% obsessed with this planning system! this week i went with a yellow theme, still using the same color coding (for tasks, appointments, etc.) as last week. also, this was the week leading up to august 24th: the dreaded sat test date. standardized testing stresses me the heck out. i can’t figure out why i don’t test well, when I’m a perfectly hardworking, successful, and passionate student. these tests have been the source of 98% of my anxiety for the past three years. i know i’m not the only one, so if you’re also struggling with this, remember that test scores do not define you, or your intelligence.
have a wonderful week everyone!!

june 10
happy monday :) feeling really productive today. planned the month of june for my blog (chiasamson.com, check it out if u want!!) and did a few drafts on my iPad. i literally can’t live without this iPad because there are days my laptop’s too inconvenient to carry so having this teeny tiny device really helps a lot in keeping me productive.
about to shoot later today but so far i’m happy with what i’ve accomplished!!! 💛
