Breaking News #2

SM’s new Girls On Top subunit will be embarking on a minor tour to celebrate the release of their new album on July 3rd, 2022!

Surprisingly, they (Nct’s Lily, Red Velvet’s Jiwoo, and Girls Generations Jiwoo) will hold their first concert before the release of any of their music. Ground breakingly, they have already sold out the SoFi stadium in Los Angeles with 100,000 tickets already sold. Their tour dates have recently been announced and fans are excited to see tha they’ll be preforming in some of the largest stadiums in the world.

seojiwoo sones, happy 15 years! It feels like yesterday when I was training for my debut, and I am so so proud of what we’ve accomplished together. 13 year old me never even dreamt of this moment.

Thank you to SM for putting us all together 15 years ago and for bringing us back for such a milestone year.

Thank you to my members, my bestest friends, with who I’ve spent over half my life. You are my biggest supporters, my greatest confidants. Thank you for taking care of me so well over the years, for always treating me like your precious maknae, for becoming my sisters. I find hints of you in myself. I wouldn’t be the woman I am without you girls. Let’s grow old together and keep being best friends!

You twist and turn all night, whereas Callum is knocked out cold beside you. He slept like a log, always slept so deeply and soundly you envied it sometimes. You sigh as you turn over, kicking at the blankets once you feel like you’re overheating, then promptly pulling them back over once the chill gets to you.

You tangle your legs with Callum’s and stick your toes against him to warm back up. Your head rests on his shoulder and your arm wraps around him as the very faint scent of his cologne fills your senses.

“Cal?” you whisper, half heartedly trying to wake him. He doesn’t say anything, of course. You try to go back to sleep, letting his deep and steady breathing try to lull you asleep-like it had for so many nights before. But tonight, for whatever reason, it didn’t work.

You rise up onto your side, inching up a little so you could hover over his face.

“Callum?” you whisper again, gently shaking him with your hand on his chest. He stirs, but only a little.

“Cal, baby?” you murmur, pressing light fluttering kisses across his face while your hand gently caresses his cheek, thumb rubbing circles across his cheekbones.

He finally wakes, sighing intently as his arm wraps around your waist.

“Ji, it’s 3 am,” he complains, though they quickly die down once you press a kiss to his lips, one on the bottom lip and another on the top-a little habit he’d never admit drove him crazy.

“I can’t sleep,” you whine as Callum shifts the blankets so they cover you better.

“Alright, I know just the trick,” Callum grins as he lies you back down. You laugh as he takes off his shirt, covering your face as he tosses it across the room.

“I thought you’d warm me up some milk or something,” you smile as he adjusts and opens your legs, getting in between them as he looks down at you with the most bewelered expression on his face.

“No you didn’t, you little liar. Did you forget how you woke me up just now? I know exactly what you want, you little minx!”

You sit on the edge of your bed, trying to take deep breaths as your stomach churns.

“You sure you’re alright, babe?” Callum asks as he kneels beside you. He presses a hand to your forehead, frowning when he notices a slight fever.

“I don’t think it’s food poisoning, we ate all the same things. Maybe it’s gas? Do you want to try using the washroom?” he asks, wondering out loud. You give him a pointed look, as if he were crazy for even suggesting it. He raises his hands up in surrender before gently rubbing your knee.

You go pale, well paler, when a thought comes to you.

“Cal, remember that night a couple weeks ago? I couldn’t sleep. Did we remember to use a condom?” you question. He opens his mouth to say yes, but stops when he realizes he didn’t.

“You don’t think…” you trail off, trying not to cry as you hold your stomach.

“Hey, hey, take a breath. Let’s not worry until we know more, alright? You and I will just take a quick trip to the emergency room, and we’ll figure it out, okay?” he calms you down, gently tucking some of your hair behind your ears as he cups your face.

He carries you down to the car and starts driving to the hospital. While driving, you can’t help but cry.

“What if it’s a baby, Cal? What would we do?” you cry as you clutch your stomach in pain.

“Hey, we don’t know anything yet,” he says soothingly as he reaches over to hold your hand.

He pulls into emergency and runs around to bring you inside. Once inside, some nurses are quick to get you onto a gurney. Callum stands beside you while a nurse gives you a pain killer. They ask you some questions and press against your stomach.

“Looks like appendicitis. Don’t worry to much about it dear, we see a lot of these cases around here, we’ll just schedule you in for a quick little surgery and you’ll be as good as new. I’ll leave this dress for you to change into,” an elderly nurse assures you with an easy smile.

“Thank you,” you smile weakly as she leaves you and Callum alone.

“Oh, thank god,” you sigh as you sit up to change. Callum sits beside you and raises your hand to press a kiss against you knuckles.

“You’ll be okay, babe, it’s a good thing we came in when we did,” he says softly as he helps you change. You sit silently as you raise your hands for him to remove your shirt, and keep them up so he can fit the dress over you.

“What’s up, babe? This is good news, they said it’s minor,” Callum asks as he kneels down to your level.

“What if it was a baby?” you ask him, lip trembling at the thought.

“Then…we’d consider our options. We’ve talked about this, haven’t we?” he asks as you lie down against the cot. He sits beside you, holding your hands as his eyebrows furrow.

“We talked about it once, Callum, and we only talked a little about what we’d do if I got pregnant then. It’s never been this real before,” you frown.

“Ok…ok. Well, what I said then is still true, I wouldn’t force you to do anything you didn’t want to-“

“But I don’t want to be the one forced to make the decision. If it was a baby, it would be ours, you’re saying you wouldn’t have a single opinion about that?” you ask, your fear turning into panic as you suddenly begin interogatting him.

“Ji, you’re spiralling. Of course I have an opinion, but the bottom line is that is that I am happy with you-“

“Do you want kids?” you ask him. He stops and thinks for a while.

“Yeah, sure, eventually, with you,” he nods as he raises his hand to hold your face.

“But if you don’t want them, that’s fine too. I’d pick you a thousand times over some hypothetical kids we may or may not have. If I lived the rest of my life by your side, I’d die a happy man,” he promises.

“Well…I think I’d want them eventually,” you admit with a shrug.

“Ok,” he smiles as you holds your hand.

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it, but I’ll support whatever you want, no matter what. If it happens now, we’d change and we’d be ready. If it doesn’t…we’ll deal with that too, together,” he assures you, leaning in to press his forehead against yours.

“Ok,” you sniffle as he presses a kiss to your cheek.

“But not yet,” you remind him quickly.

“Not yet,” he nods in agreement.

“Look at what spontaneity gets us, huh?” he chuckles, forcing a laugh from you as well.

“Ow, ow, don’t make me laugh!”

“…We were careful, I don’t know how dispatch found out. We’ve never even been to Korea together!”

You’re talking quickly in korean over the phone as Callum sits back in a chair, his arms crossed as he watches you walk in circles. He wasn’t entirely sure what was going on, but from what he gathered, some korean gossip site had found out about his relationship. To him, it wasn’t a big deal, he didn’t care who knew, but he also knew it was different for Jiwoo. She had told him all about korean expectations, the culture there, and about what people expected. It sounded kind of intense, if he was being honest.

Callum sits silently as she says her goodbyes and hangs up the phone. She sighs as she runs her fingers through her hair. It was dark out already, only the faint light of a lamp illuminating the room.

“Is it really so bad?” He asks you. He was so calm, he was always so calm, you weren’t sure if you hated or loved that about him.

“I don’t know…it just feels like I’m a kid getting caught doing something wrong, you know? Like I’m stealing an extra cookie before dinner or something,” you whine as you sit across from him.

“Well you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re 27, I’m 30, we’re all adults here. What do they expect, for you to stay single your entire life?” He asks, half jokingly.

“Yeah, actually, they kinda do,” you answer back, wincing a little at the ridiculousness of it all.

“I’ve just never done anything like this before. I’ve never done anything that would get me in trouble, I’ve always done what I was supposed to,” you shrug as he reaches for your hand. He pulls you up and onto his lap, looking up at you as you settle into a more comfortable position.

“So…you’re my little rebel, are you?” He smirks, forcing a smile from you as his hands go under your shirt to caress your back.

“It’s not funny,” you try to remain serious, slapping his shoulder as you lean back against the table.

“I mean, it’s not like I’m currently promoting as an idol or anything. It would’ve been a lot worse if I was, but I honestly don’t think it’ll be that bad,” you admit, though you’re not sure who you’re trying to convince.

“Right, it won’t be,” Callum nods, letting you play with his fingers as you think.

“And it won’t change anything between us,” he promises, to which you nod in agreement. You had been together for just a little over a year now and it was going perfectly. You worried that you might still be in the honeymoon phase, but Sooyoung said it didn’t last that long.

“And you’ve cemented yourself as a real actor, capable of working in Hollywood. This won’t affect your work, people don’t care that much about dating over here anyway,” he reasons sensibly.

“Right, you’re right,” you nod in agreement.

“And it won’t be so bad. It’ll be good for us. We won’t have to hide away to be together. We can visit each other on sets, go out on dates, hold hands on walks…” he lists off as you lean into him. Your head rests on his shoulder as his arms envelope you into a warm hug. You loved hugging Callum, he was so broad that whenever he hugged you, you felt like you disappeared a little.

“We can still hide away a little, privacy is nice,” you humour him.

“Yeah, getting you alone is really nice,” he chuckles, so deeply you can hear the vibrations in his chest. You sigh deeply as you bury your nose into his chest, the faint scent of his cologne still clinging to his shirt.

“Ok. I’ll let SM know they can release a statement. I’d rather them do it than just get outed by Dispatch, freaking hate those guys,” you huff as you sit up and grab your phone. Callum smiles at your proclamation as you call the company back. You suddenly feel a little sick at the speed everything was happening at, so you grab one of Callum’s hands and lay it on your stomach. You had found in your time together that he was always warm, like your own personal heater. You liked that about him.

He rubs gentle circles as you speak to some of the managers. It’s a quick call honestly, they wanted to release a statement first too. Next, you quickly send a text off to your members, just letting them know what would be happening in the next hour or two.

“Done?” He asks when you put your phone down, to which you nod.

“It’s kind of liberating actually,” you admit as you cup his face, pulling him into a quick kiss.

“Are you okay with this?” You ask, realizing you hadn’t even asked his opinion about the whole thing.

“I’m good. I’ll do whatever you want, Jiwoo. If you wanted to tell people right at the beginning, I would’ve. If you wanted to wait even longer, I’d do that too. I’d wait for as long as you wanted me to,” he assures you. His calmness, you realized, you loved that about him.

“I love you,” you murmur in between kisses.

“I love you too.”

BREAKING NEWS

Girls Generation’s maknae Jiwoo, Red Velvet’s Winnie, and NCT’s Lily look to be releasing a mini album on behalf of ‘Girls On Top’, SM entertainments new endenvor in which their female artists collaborate on songs. The group debuted earlier this year with ‘Step Back’ in which NCT’s Lily was also a part of. Lily has also written all the songs on this new album, with Jiyeon and Jiwoo also having some song writing credits.

Looks like the rotational system has determined their new (temporary) group. Red Velvet’s Jiyeon remains busy as she is set to skate in this years winter Olympics. This will be Jiwoo’s first music release since her solo debut, ‘SOLO’ in 2018.

With such talented women, this album is already raising anticipation of fans across the world. The album will reach fans worldwide with a Japanese version of ‘Wildside’ and 2 English songs.

So Lily was offered a spot in SM’s new girl group (around 2019-2020ish) which was Aespa at the time. Pre-debut, before anyone else was picked, SM offered to move Lily into a new girl group and make her leader. It was super premature, just an offer they wanted her to think about. She ended up rejecting and stayed with NCT.

“Are you nervous?” Emma Stone asks sweetly when she notices the anxious look on your face. You were currently waiting to walk the carpet along with the other Louis Vuitton guests. You had met them all earlier in the day for pictures but didn’t really get a chance to talk.

“A little,” you admit, letting out the breath you didn’t even know you were holding. You were fiddling with your rings, one was your Dream ring and the other was 1/2 of the Doyoung/Taeyong friendship ring. Doyoung had let you borrow his while Taeyong lent his to Johnny. You didn’t yet know what Johnny was wearing, but you knew your rings matched.

“Don’t be, it’s no big deal. Just some walking and pictures, nothing we haven’t done before, right?” She asks with a pretty smile. ‘Just some pictures and walking’ was a severe understatement considering the event, but this isn’t her first time so you hope she’s talking from experience.

“Right,” you agree.

“Good luck, I’ll find you later during the after party,” she waves goodbye as she moves on. Hoyeon unnie comes next, wrapping her arms around your shoulders as you both try to peek over all the shoulders. She had reached out a few weeks ago when she found out you’d both be walking for LV and you’d quickly become close friends.

“Who would’ve thought we’d end up here,” she hums nostalgically, trapping you both in a moment of peace before the craziness started.

“You should be very proud of yourself, Lily. It wasn’t easy for either of us, but now we’re here proving everyone wrong, aren’t we?” She chuckles. Even though you’d only met a few weeks ago, Hoyeon found it hard to dislike you in any way. She hadn’t expected to become this close, but here you were.

“I guess we are,” you can’t help but smile. Being here tonight was like a huge middle finger to all the people that doubted you.

“Louis Vuitton, you’re next!” A staff member announces. And just like that, Hoyeon is whisked away for final checks and someone comes over to fluff your dress and check your makeup. Then, you’re led out.

“Don’t forget to smile,” Hoyeon gives your hand a quick squeeze before she goes out first, and you follow after her only seconds later. The bright lights momentarily startle you but you get the hang of it soon enough.

Johnny had already walked the carpet. He had done it. He had met the designer, finalized his outfit, met the other celebs Peter Do was dressing, he anxiously waited, walked, and made it all the way up. The nerves had long subsided but he knew Lily’s hadn’t yet.

So, once he got to the top he insisted on staying there. He wanted to wait for Lily and ask how she slept since he hadn’t seen her since yesterday morning and see her in her dress she wouldn’t tell him anything about and make sure she ate because sometimes she didn’t when she got scared and…and he wanted to see her. He felt nervous for her, which wasn’t an uncommon feeling, he often found himself worrying about Lily.

He was stuck beside Kris Jenner who was also waiting for her daughters, all of whom were invited tonight.

It didn’t take long for Louis Vuitton to come out. Lily was easy to find, in a pretty yellow dress that stuck out with its vibrance. She didn’t tell anyone a single thing about the dress, claiming it was too pretty to spoil with an excited sparkle in her eye. She had covered her ears and shushed Johnny when he tried talking about his own outfit because she wanted it to be a surprise. It was obvious how much Lily loved her outfit for the night, she raved about it as much as she could without spoiling anything. She had actually gone on a tangent about the pockets it supposedly had. Johnny didn’t particularly care, but he sat and listened nonetheless. He had told her the only thing pretty about the dress was the girl in it, but she merely shushed him and told him to wait and see.

“Are you two together?” Kris asks Johnny, noticing how intently Johnny watched Lily. Johnny found himself holding his breath when she first came out, looking a little nervous and surprised at all the lights. She awkwardly bowed toward the first group of photographers only for a staff member to jog over and say something to her, presumably that she didn’t have to bow, but she continued to do so, albeit more comfortably. Luckily she didn’t fall, she was crazy nervous she’d fall and embarrass herself. It took a minute or two, but Lily quickly settled in and posed for the cameras comfortably.

“Yeah…not together together but we came together, if that even makes sense,” Johnny chuckles, quickly correcting himself once he realizes what Kris was insinuating.

“We’re in the same group so we’re pretty close. I feel like a dad watching his daughter take her first steps or something,” Johnny admits.

“Oh I get that, I’m waiting for 5 daughters tonight,” Kris sympathizes.

As Lily continues on, nearing the top, she looks up at him, finally noticing Johnny waiting. She perks up and waves excitedly, forgetting about the cameras momentarily as she spins to show him her dress in its entirety. From the outside looking in, it was a cute scene as Johnny gives her a quick thumbs up and she was called back toward the cameras. But from Johnny’s point of view, a sight only he saw, she was the epitome of innocence as she spun for him with wide eyes and radiating excitement. He could understand why she loved the dress so much. The bright lights reflected off the sparkles on her dress, she was as light as a feather and it had been a long time since he’s seen her like that. It was a welcome sight. He couldn’t believe how much she’d grown over the years, sometimes nearly forgetting she wasn’t 15 anymore.

“Good luck tonight,” Johnny bows politely to Kris as Lily comes up the final few steps.

“You too,” Kris smiles before turning back as one of her daughters comes out.

“Johnny oppa! I told you the dress was pretty, didn’t I tell you?” You grin excitedly, picking up the ends of your dress as you hurriedly make your way towards him.

“The dress is only pretty because of the girl wearing it, didn’t I tell you that earlier?” Johnny quips, ever the flirt who found momentary joy in watching his only female member get flustered.

“So sappy,” Lily chastises as she reaches out to inspect his own clothes. She pulls the coat a bit to see if his tattoo would peak out without it. It did, if you were curious, only a little though.

“You look rather dashing too,” she compliments. Johnny refrains from poking fun at how British she just sounded.

“Look at us, we’re a long way from those hideous outfits they made us wear,” Lily laughs as she pokes at his arm. The outfits she wore early in her career is a great point of shame for Lily, she still cringes whenever she thinks about it too deeply.

“They started styling us better years ago,” Johnny chuckles, throwing an arm around her as they continue on into the building.

“Sure they did, but this is our new new era,” Lily clarifies. Inside, they’re separated once more for dinner. No one actually eats much at the gala, it’s more of an opportunity to mingle with those around you. While Johnny stays near his seat, choosing to mingle with those already around him, Lily is swept up and away and into the crowd.

Johnny occasionally glances around in search of Lily, keeping an eye on her and what not. It was like second nature to him at this point. The last time he saw her, she was talking with a group of the Kardashian/Jenner sisters. She finally escapes to him after that, plopping down beside him with a sigh. Her social meter was definitely running out a bit.

“Having fun?” Johnny asks amusedly as she tests her head in her hand.

“Yes but I think I’ve talked to more strangers today than I have in my entire life,” she deadpans.

“Can you help me take these pins out of my head,” Lily asks, lowering her head so Johnny can take out all the pins and loosen her hair. She loved her hairstyle for the met, it framed her face so perfectly she felt like a fairy, but after a few hours she could feel the headache coming on.

“Oh, I like your hair down, you look more relaxed and laidback,” Johnny comments after he finishes fixing her hair. Yes, this new hairstyle only made Lily obsess over her outfit more.

“Have you eaten?” He asks, already holding out a spoonful of whatever they had put on his plate.

“I had some soup this morning. I asked for rice but they said they didn’t have any. Can you believe that? How can you run out of rice?” Lily asks incredulously, opening her mouth obediently and eating what he offered.

“What was that?” She asks with a slight grimace.

“I have no idea, but it’s better than nothing,” he shrugs, pushing the plate away. He, too, was guilty of neglecting the food.

“After this let’s get pizza,” Lily suggests.

“This is why I love your beautiful mind,” Johnny sighs dramatically as he grabs her head with both of his hands and shakes. She laughs as he does, grinning as he releases her with a quick peck to the top of her head.

“Ok, I’m going back out there,” she giggles, having recharged a bit with a person who brought her comfort

“And I think I’ll go out too,” Johnny nods, standing up with her.

“Find me if you need me and keep an eye on your drink, okay?” Johnny reminds her, to which she nods. She holds up her fist to which he bumps dutifully.

“Ok, break!”
